      <description>&lt;p&gt;This came up recently and I'm still pondering. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;When you're writing alt-text for an image which portrays people, &lt;strong&gt;do you describe the skin colour / apparent ethnicity of the people in the photo?&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Why or why not?&lt;/p&gt;
