Hi everyone! 👋
I'm Bhumika, a B.Tech Computer Engineering student who enjoys learning by building things, experimenting with technology, and taking on challenges that push me outside my comfort zone.

💻 My Tech Journey

My journey in technology has been a mix of coding, problem-solving, projects, hackathons, and continuous learning.

I'm currently exploring:

🐍 Python & Java
💻 C / Data Structures & Algorithms
🤖 Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
🌐 Web Development
☁️ Cloud & Google Cloud technologies
🗄️ Databases and backend development
🎨 UI/UX and Figma
🚀 Hackathons & project-based learning

I particularly enjoy taking an idea and turning it into something practical and usable, rather than learning technology only from theory.

🚀 Building Through Projects

One thing I've learned is that projects teach you differently from textbooks.

I've worked on ideas involving AI, finance, travel, emergency response, and local experiences. These projects have helped me understand everything from problem identification and system architecture to designing interfaces and presenting solutions.

I've also participated in hackathons, where I've learned that building a project isn't just about writing code—it's also about teamwork, communication, rapid problem-solving, and adapting when things don't go according to plan.

📚 Learning in Public

I'm still at the beginning of my journey, and I don't have everything figured out.

That's actually what makes it exciting.

I'm trying to:

Learn → Build → Break → Fix → Improve → Repeat.

Through DEV, I hope to document some of that journey—whether it's a small programming concept I finally understood, a project I built, a hackathon experience, or something that didn't work the first time.

🎨 Beyond Coding

Technology isn't my only interest.

I also enjoy art, sketching, calligraphy, and creative design. I like combining creativity with technology, especially when working on interfaces, presentations, and visual ideas.

For me, engineering isn't only about making something functional.
It's also about making it understandable, useful, and enjoyable to use.

🌟 What I'm Working Toward

Right now, my goal is simple:

Become a better engineer one project at a time.

I want to keep improving my technical skills, contribute to meaningful projects, participate in more hackathons, and eventually build products that solve real-world problems.

If you're also a student or beginner in tech, I'd love for us to learn together. 🤝

This is just the beginning. 🚀

DEV.to setup

Title: About Me — A Computer Engineering Student Building, Learning & Exploring

Tags:

 aboutme #beginners #programming #learning

Cover image idea:
A clean developer-themed illustration with a laptop, code snippets, small AI/cloud/web icons, and a creative sketchbook—representing technology + creativity + learning.
