Hi DEV Community!

I wanted to use the GitHub Finish-Up-A-Thon to push my Python and Flask school booking system project across the finish line. I built the database logic and routes entirely on my Android phone using Pydroid and Termux because I don't own a laptop.

The Problem:
I am hitting a hard physical limit. When I try to run the local server to test and finish my code, my mobile UI lags, crashes, and my device overheats severely. I am literally melting my hardware trying to finish my project.

My dream is to work in network systems and cloud infrastructure. I have outgrown my phone and desperately need a laptop to take my skills into production environments.

If any mentors, sponsors, or tech leaders reviewing the challenge want to see my code files, please check my bio or reach out.

Coding Full-Stack Python on a Melting Android Phone in Ethiopia

Hi DEV Community,

I am an IT student in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, studying hardware and network services. My biggest passion is building software.

Because I do not own a laptop, I have spent the last year teaching myself programming, building database logic, and routing web applications using Python and Flask entirely on my mobile phone using Pydroid and Termux.

I am pushing my mobile device past its absolute physical limits. Lately, when I try to run local servers, my phone UI crashes, lags, and the device gets too hot to touch. I am literally melting my hardware just to learn.

My dream is to work in enterprise cloud infrastructure and network systems, but I have officially outgrown my phone. I need a laptop to take my skills to the next level, and I am looking for a sponsor, an organization, or a mentor who can help me bridge this gap.

I have my code files ready to show anyone who is interested. Thank you for reading my story!
