I built Audiline — an app that reads you the news instead of making you read it

Like a lot of people, I stopped keeping up with the news because I never had the 20 minutes it takes to sit down and actually read it. So I built Audiline — it turns your day's news into short, personalized audio summaries you can listen to on your commute, at the gym, or wherever reading isn't an option.

 What it does

Turns the day's news into a few minutes of spoken summary, updated daily

Personalizes coverage to the topics you care about

No reading, no clickbait, no infinite scroll — just audio, fact-checked and concise

Free, live on iOS and Android

 Why I built it

I'm a backend/tech lead by day, and I kept noticing the same pattern in myself: I wanted to stay informed, but reading the news competed with everything else on my phone for the same scroll-and-swipe attention, and it almost always lost. Audio didn't have that problem — I already listen to podcasts and music during dead time in the day. So I built the news into that same format instead of fighting for reading time I didn't have.

 Try it

Website: https://www.audiline.com/

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/audiline-short-audio-news/id6799126995

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.audiline.app&hl=en

Still early days, and I'd genuinely love feedback — what would make this something you'd use daily?
