85: Generative Art coding

What I want to make is...

The thing I mind about in this process is to separate their original opinions, in order to minimalize my idea and make it connect if there is something similar. And, develop the imagination. here is what I am impressed with today…

Explore, don’t be scared of trying (different) things, trust yourself, never be complacent, keep on learning. I started my career in a tiny print studio where I would spend most of my time designing (boring) print jobs.

One day, the studio (somehow) got its first web mandate. This forced me to (self) teach myself web design, Flash, After Effects… and led me to where I am today! I also believe that the more well-rounded you are, the better a designer you’ll be — learn UX, learn to code, learn motion design. The more you understand, the better you’ll design.

Via this article : https://www.loversmagazine.com/interviews/louis-paquet#product-2.png

I could say I am more likely to code based on the designer’s brain. And, I was looking for the examples, and people who create the artwork with code 🌉

My initial reason was simply creating the motion design (In my word, Digital Painting by writing), I found out it enough and chose to focus on this cool

Creativeness is the most essential when it comes to artwork, that is my disposition is. It makes me push the new self-challenge and out of the comfort zone! Enjoying the process each step is pretty realistic and non-stressful… 🏕

My main goal: https://mattdesl.svbtle.com/generative-art-with-nodejs-and-canvas

84 : How JS libraries vary

let me try to explain as simple as possible in terms of JS libraries.

 What is JS Libraries :

I would use the one metaphor word, we entered the JS Harry porter’s library. Now we can search depending on a category at the library, it can be ‘history’, ‘science’, ‘fiction’, ‘non-fiction’, ‘environment’ and what else it can find out? It depends on what we like to make.

To give a common definition, I rent Wikipedia.

With the expanded demands for JavaScript, an easier means for programmers to develop such dynamic interfaces was needed. Thus, JavaScript libraries and JavaScript widget libraries were developed, allowing developers to concentrate more upon more distinctive applications of Ajax.

 What kind of JS libraries:

Welcome to JS libarires

How can it be varied :

Dynamic user interfaces

SPA (single page application)

Interactive website

Creative 3D art
… and can be more any web pages, as long as JS creates… there’s no limit!

 Similarity Between Artist and Engineer.

Are you the type of one who wants to actualize your imagination and sometimes fears losing your sensibility? simply, the creator. I care what I am inspired by anything, anyone, and… never stoped to get inspiration. In this case, it might be a struggle to understand and communicate with people who have a different idea. And, they could say, what are you doing? you are being unproductive. yeah, it is logically correct.

 Why diversity is important

I realized through my experience from senior's advice. At the same time, I think we all individuals are different and not be able to apply what they told us… Because we all are born differently, in fact!
We can not share the same history, which is impossible. If you concentrate on the fundamentals as same as me, then, please, the reason I would like to refocus on mathematics, (nowadays, it is an algebra and could be different sector, for example, discrete mathematics.)

Could I find the mathematical reasoning?

Let me please challenge, It is too worthy, enjoyable, and beautiful…. :)

82: The Mentorship is Optional

There is no need of looking for a perfect mentor to fill your weakness, in my case, I always lose assurance. According to an article that I was concerned about having a mentor, this comment was on the point!

A mentor is not necessary at all. Many people have learned programming all by themselves. Although a mentor can be nice to have. While I'm not self-taught, I learned to program in university, I still had a mentor during the first few months. He was a senior student at the university and he taught me a lot. The way we did code review was that I would do a small project, finish it by myself. If I was completely stuck I would ask for help. And then when it was done I sent him my code and he looked through it. Then we met up (either at school or voice call) and we went through the code together and he suggested ways to improve it or make it cleaner. If we did it over voice call I would share the code using VSCode LiveShare so both could edit the files.

NO WORRY, THERE IS NO TESTING TO PROVE A CLEAN CODE. I love the fact that all we need to do is developing forever, and learning the failures. Some people even made fun of me for my learning-attitude. Well, then, I am born to become a programmer.

The Flexibility

The Patience

The Creativity

These three keywords made me such a code-fool. :P

81: Resources, Not Roadmap

I decided to choose one resource for each chapter that I want to gain knowledge. My work-fit is focusing on one mission each task, by creating a new idea, apply to the process, then give a result. For example, making a website is required to create an inner process. Why? to have the algorithm thinking, not getting distracted by my imagination, and make it real! I prefer to gain the depth of one part, which is front-end engineering.

It is a true visual art

I like the point that front engineering is visible while coding, feel safe to view the process right away.

The harmony, and A huge Potential. JS is eating the world.

 Mathematics

Khan Academy (Theory)

Brilliant (Practice)

 Algorithm problems solving

CoderByte (Problem Sovling)

Eloquent Javascript (TextBook)

 Project

JavaScript 30

Frontend Masters

Lastly, I'd like to find the code review website or regular mentorship to check my growth, was afraid of getting influenced overly, so I tried self-taught programming, at the end of the lesson, the healthy review is necessary to code forever haha, anyone recommends me the fun and casual code reviewer? to be direct, I prefer to have a comment, not teaching, because of protecting my creativity. That's all for me. Happy Holloween, Happy Coding.

80: Visibility of Deductive Thinking!

The fact that the way I communicate with people is that I usually work on deductive thinking. When I make a decision, I follow my intuition, collecting data, and test it. However, When I met the person following Inductive Reasoning, and have certain reasons to behave, I feel overwhelmed.

What's the point of talking about this issue?

Not only programming, Everything combines with communication at the workplace. I did not know my system. Ignorance was not a problem, I now aware. And, I want to ask, what I want, I want to discuss, what it is, and want to really learn correctly.

 All about asking, not assuming.

We live in diversity. I might not be able to notice my deductive thinking unless I try to face an inductive thinking person, they were telling me 'what is my purpose' and I replied, 'I am figuring out'. Literally, I was discovering what my statement needs the reasons, and now it constructed.

It was a big shock for me, to know my algorithm

After the short term of studying at Bootcamp, I had the time of recovering back to study computer science, ahead of that, I needed to prepare to talk to a new type of people, to work on the opposite side of a web developer world, and stand for non-violence conversation! Honestly, It is for my mental health.

 Story VS Information

I feel more comfortable listening to people's lives and reflecting on their topics in my life. I am relearning to show my story. It is still uncomfortable. When I talk to people, I want to have the essence, which is the same as information. Meeting up computer science might be meant to be for me, but, for a better coworking, sometimes, It is necessary to tell the evident story.

 Valid Deductive Process to People!

Ah, too bad I am familiar with math problems. Math gave me the second chance to challenge, programming. I wanted to give up programming sincerely. Now I realized that there has nothing to change myself to fit in them, validating how I think is important and I became to respect my deductive thinking, it makes me curious unstoppable, broke my math trauma, give me a different view of a lifestyle, and forgave my mistakes. I am going to use inductive thinking this time! For sure, based on my intuition, Coloring on the program just motivates a lot!

Difference is such a cool thing to understandand!

Deductive reasoning, also deductive logic, is the process of reasoning from one or more statements (premises) to reach a logical conclusion.

Deductive reasoning goes in the same direction as that of the conditionals and links premises with conclusions. If all premises are true, the terms are clear, and the rules of deductive logic are followed, then the conclusion reached is necessarily true.

Deductive reasoning ("top-down logic") contrasts with inductive reasoning ("bottom-up logic") in the following way; in deductive reasoning, a conclusion is reached reductively by applying general rules which hold over the entirety of a closed domain of discourse, narrowing the range under consideration until only the conclusion(s) is left (there is no epistemic uncertainty; i.e. unrecognized parts of the currently available set; all parts of the currently available set are available and recognized).[2] In inductive reasoning, the conclusion is reached by generalizing or extrapolating from specific cases to general rules, i.e., there is epistemic uncertainty (unrecognized parts of the currently available set).[3] However, the inductive reasoning mentioned here is not the same as induction used in mathematical proofs – mathematical induction is actually a form of deductive reasoning.

Deductive reasoning differs from abductive reasoning by the direction of the reasoning relative to the conditionals. Deductive reasoning goes in the same direction as that of the conditionals, whereas abductive reasoning goes in the opposite direction to that of the conditionals.

Thanks to Deductive Reasoning

79: Frameworks VS Libraries

JavaScript—The Heart of JavaScript Libraries AND Frameworks
First, let’s start at the source: JavaScript itself. In the spirit of clear definitions:

JavaScript (or JS for short) is a scripting language used by front end developers (people who build parts of a website or web app that users see on their screen) to implement and manage dynamic content. There are other scripting languages out there, including Python, but JS is the most commonly used.

Dynamic content includes animated graphics, interactive forms, photo carousels, etc.—anything you see when you’re visiting a website or using an app that “changes” on screen without you having to do a manual refresh. The autocomplete feature that happens when you’re entering search terms into Google’s search bar? That’s JavaScript in action.

JavaScript is most commonly used for front end web development (building user-facing, on-screen parts of websites and apps), while scripting languages like Python handle back end development (“under the hood” coding that makes websites and apps tick), though JS can be used on the back end, too.
As you can imagine, JavaScript gets a lot of use in the web development process—so much use, in fact, that over the years tools are known as JavaScript libraries and JavaScript frameworks were created to help developers with some of the heavy liftings. During the coding process, certain JS functions need to be implemented multiple times (recurring animation effects, interactive forms that appear in different places a website or in an app, etc).

 Vanilla JavaScript: A Definition

Using the JavaScript language alone (or “vanilla JavaScript” as developers call it) means you’d have to rewrite the code for these functions every time they occur. JS frameworks and libraries give developers the ability to use prewritten code for common JavaScript functions, and to create their own functions that can then be reused as needed. So does that mean “library” and “framework” two ways of saying the same thing? Not really. Yes, both tools have similar uses, but there are significant differences between the scope and scale of the two platforms.

 JavaScript Libraries: A Definition

Generally speaking, JavaScript libraries are collections of prewritten code snippets that can be used (and reused) to perform common JavaScript functions. JavaScript library code can be plugged into the rest of your project’s code on an “as needed” basis. If you were going to use jQuery (one of the more ubiquitous JS libraries) to add an autocomplete feature to a search bar on your site, you’d insert the appropriate jQuery code snippet into your project’s code. Then, when a user enters text into the search bar, the jQuery code snippet retrieves the feature from the jQuery library and displays it in your user’s web browser.

You can read more about exactly how JavaScript libraries like jQuery do what they do (including a look at jQuery code examples) in our Tech 101: What is jQuery guide, but the big takeaway is that libraries are specialized tools for specific coding needs, not an all-in-one tool or template for formatting your entire project.

Examples of JavaScript Libraries:

jQuery

React JS

 A Word on React JS

Because of their “specialist” nature, it shouldn’t be a surprise that JS libraries have developed over the years to handle specific developer needs. One of the most important specialized JavaScript libraries to be aware of is React JS.

React is a JavaScript library created in 2011 by Facebook that specializes in helping developers build user interfaces or UIs. In terms of websites and web applications, UIs are the collection of on-screen menus, search bars, buttons, and anything else someone interacts with to USE a website or app. You can take a much deeper dive into what React JS is and what it’s used for in our Tech 101: What is React JS guide, but, along with jQuery, it’s one of the two most commonly used and in-demand JS libraries.

At this point you might be wondering, “Wait a minute…is React a framework or a library?” This is a common question since people tend to reference React JS as both (part of what makes the whole JavaScript framework vs library thing so confusing). Yes, you’ll find React JS in plenty of articles or lists about JavaScript and front end frameworks, but React is 100 percent a JavaScript library (just ask the React developer team).

So why do people still call it a framework? No good reason, really. And that’s an important lesson in not getting hung up on tech terms. Tech buzzwords and titles can blur over time, and the most important thing is that YOU know what task the tool you’re learning or using is meant to accomplish. That being said, what IS a JavaScript framework, and what are JavaScript frameworks used for?

 JavaScript Frameworks: A Definition

While JavaScript libraries are a specialized tool for on-demand use, JavaScript frameworks are a full toolset that help shape and organize your website or web application. When you’re trying to define frameworks in the context of JavaScript framework vs library, think of it this way: JavaScript libraries are like pieces of furniture that add style and function to an already constructed house. Frameworks, on the other hand, are a template you use to build the house itself.

Frameworks provide a structure (like a skeleton, or a scaffolding…or a framework) to base your entire project around. This structure is created through page templates (provided by the framework) with specific areas set aside for inserting framework code (versus the library format, where the developer decides where to implement library code).

Some examples of JavaScript Frameworks:

Angular

Ember JS

Vue

The upside to using JavaScript frameworks is the overall efficiency and organization they bring to a project—your code will be neatly structured, and the framework will offer readymade solutions for common coding problems. On the other hand, all of that structure can be the downside of working with a framework—any JavaScript code you write on top of JS frameworks needs to follow rules and conventions specific to the framework, limiting the freedom you have when using a library.

You can learn more about the ins and outs of JavaScript frameworks (including which ones are in demand right now) from our Tech 101: What is a JavaScript Framework guide, and our article on Which JavaScript Framework Should You Learn First.

JavaScript Framework or JavaScript Library, Which Should YOU Learn?

Now that you know the difference between a Javascript framework vs library, which should you learn to use if you’re new to web development? According to Jesse DeOms, JavaScript Developer and the JS subject matter expert on our curriculum team, there’s a time and place for both JavaScript libraries AND frameworks, but libraries make a good starting point for new developers.

Although both libraries and frameworks require an understanding of JavaScript fundamentals frameworks generally call for more in the way of JS knowledge and experience, making the learning curve for libraries a bit gentler. And as far as which library to begin with? DeOms says you could do a lot worse than starting with React JS.

Front end web or app development (where most web developers start out) is all about creating and managing UIs, and that makes React a natural first library. Further, DeOms points to the overwhelming amount of employer demand for React skills, the tremendous amount of React community support, and the excellent documentation provided by the React team. But remember: starting with a JavaScript library like React JS or jQuery doesn’t mean not learning JavaScript frameworks. Once you’ve started with one library, it’ll be that much easier to learn more and to eventually move on to frameworks like Angular, or Vue, or Ember JS. Learning how to code is a journey, but you’ve got to make that first step.

 Step 1 | Proposition | I am a mathematical person. (Actually 😉)

Because I finally found out how my brain processes when I face the problem.

I have not been setting the priority myself, I did not consider it as its necessity. I used to think that is selfish. Because Everything was precious for me. How do I choose wiser? The importance of the priority is that it can practically help me to take care of my precious things in order.

Step 2 | Proof | Problem Solving | The Table | Truth or False

So, There should be several reasons to prove the proposition. Given one example, when you want to decide which country is the next destination for travel, How can you decide? In this case, I’d make a list to do and limit my budget. It can lead take the most realistic trip. This is decision-making. We could make it this program using a conditional statement!

Understanding the intention | Why do CS require math skills?

Tests | Researching the origin of the Algorithm and Computer Science

Delete | Filtering the falses out and Purify to truths

Abstraction | Simplification following the mathematical laws

Generalization | Creating Algorithms and Publish it

Step 3 | FeedBack | Reporting to Public | Develop

Try | Challenge | Experience

FeedBack | Review | Communication

Choice | Revise | Change | Be Happy!

Then, there will be the time I can choose any language, It can be 'Ruby', 'Python', 'Javascript', 'Java' or else... It's all same, I was obsessed with vanilla Javascript and computer science fundamentals to know what is the essence of studying programming. It is now simple! Encode My solution. and try, and try, and try.

I found using frameworks can be productive, after all, one year figuring out vanilla Javascript, doubting the process I made without senior's approval, I made a result: this is not for me. The two developers I got inspired in the beginning, they emphasize 'vanilla JS'. Because they had been through the hardship missing the fundamentals. ME? I have no clue.

However, to be short, I am not them, It didn't work on me positively. So those who feel left out not connecting the major opinion, that is okay, I can prove.

No matter how much I was understanding their career and experienced advice, sometimes, that could be incorrect. And, I can't fix myself to fit them! Well, I had to leave them.

I am capable of studying web frontend development with my design thinking, Do you like drawing? Let me give an example of what is my drawing applying to study web front end development.

Think about what I can draw from learning every step(HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node JS, DataBase.... endless source) and Record the reasons why it is necessary to know, and discover the points. Get Ready for solving problems!

Time to acutalize my idea by encoding. Programming was not as same logic as learning linguistic langauge, speaking in programming world, we have 'google'.

Finally, Moving on The stage of Projects, Just be yourself! Enjoy whatever I like to make my imagination happen in real! Can't wait for the right moment.

Self-taught programming is really hard, There is pros and cons, but the difficulty reaching out to the level of employable skills is real! What should I do? So, I am researching the job requirement and what the frontend engineer does at work!

I want to get a job after all 6 months to a maximum of one year studying alone. I hope that I am investing the right thing, Coding makes me happy the most. It releases me a different version of me, and improved myself to problem-solver! Life is all about doing what I love!

To make a positive output this time, Let's see what the several companies would like to hire a person, as their front-end developer, and figure out Why it is necessary to be while progressing my projects.

• Determining the structure and design of our application.
• Ensuring user experience determines design choices.
• Developing features to enhance the user experience.
• Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design.
• Building reusable code for future use.
• Documentation building
• Optimizing the platform for maximum speed and scalability.
• Utilizing a variety of markup languages to write web pages.
• Maintaining brand consistency throughout the design.
• Architect efficient and reusable framework that is used by thousands of people daily
• Design service APIs and sockets, with tests
• Collaborate with other engineers to create high-quality
design and implementation for the project and deliver amazing results that our users love
• Evolve our architecture to support partnerships with third party technological solutions, e.g. Telcos, Data Tracking, Email/Notification Services
• Directly impacting the user experience through the design and implementation of new features and functionalities in Freehunter
• Adhere to agile principles and work as part of a small but rapidly growing high-energy team delivering incredible, creative improvements our product
• Tackle difficult problems, invent new solutions, influence product decisions; do things that no one else is doing on the web

• Degree in computer science or related field
• Understanding of key design principle
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery
• Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Redux
• Experience with graphic design applications such as Adobe suite will be a plus
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design
• Understanding of SEO principles
• Good problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment quickly and easily
• Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment
• Great team player, self-motivated, good communication skills, strong interest in data-driven development
• Proficient in at least 1 of the following programming technologies: Node.js, React.js, Express.js, SQL, MongoDB, PHP, Go
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming & REST API design
• Knowledge & previous experience in agile or scrum
• Proficient in the following frameworks/technologies will be an advantage but not a must: Docker, GCP/AWS Infrastructure, Firebase Integration, Redux
• Experience with unit testing frameworks is an advantage (e.g., Mocha, Chai)
• A Self-improver who seek out feedback on how to go the extra mile to improve your own work and the work of your team

The healthy debation always help me out think wider, I am wondering why the other people love programming.
What is your reason? feel free to tell me! :)

74: Default

 Math Matters

I set up the new default, used to be ONLY Vanilla Javascript! Now turned out to be the minimum skills solving math problems, Programming is drawing the logics, without operations, the computer does not work, To make a movement? There needs a fundamental operation 'ADD', 'SUBTRACT', 'MULTIPLE', 'DIVISION'

 Problem-solving Skill, that's the real

This is my algorithm,

Understand the problem

Figure out the solution

Identify the solution into Algorithm How? Following the grammar, The key point was applying

Add the creativity to make the mathematical expression

 The New Normal Math

The reason I kept my eye on the mathematics, I got taught by education really wrong ways, math was supposed to learning how important the process is, and I discovered that I don't have to know the knowledge, the point was visualizing the code with proofs, and talking about the solution in public! Coding has no answer, no certification, no hierarchy! All I need is to keep coding, and learning. I am happy to meet coding, one thing is only hard, facing problems and doing it again.

No matter I am a beginner

It does not matter how quick I solve problems, to reach the level of employable level presented me the real possibility, :) Perfectionism was the real harmful! Got a new motivation to be a mentor for someone, one day, as well. Again, this story belongs to me, not everyone, I hope this wouldn't generalize other cases, I would love writing about my personal story on Dev while coding!
