Finding the right icon plugin for Figma can save hours on every project. But with hundreds of options in the marketplace, it's hard to know which ones are actually worth installing.

Here's a breakdown of 6 icon plugins that consistently deliver — covering everything from massive general-purpose libraries to specialist collections for specific design needs.

 01. Hugeicons

The #1 free icon plugin in Figma, trusted by 600k+ UI/UX designers. The free tier gives you access to 6,000+ stroke rounded icons with web app and dev formats included — solid starting point for any project.

For serious use there are two paid tiers:

Pro at $99/year — 60,000+ icons across 10 styles, React/CDN formats, NPM registry, 6 project icon sets. No SVG download, no custom icons, no Figma source files at this tier.

Pro Plus at $1,197 one-time — everything in Pro plus SVG ZIP download, Figma source files, IconJar library, web fonts, desktop fonts, priority support, custom icon requests, and upload up to 500 custom icons.

The jump from free to Pro is reasonable. The jump from Pro to Pro Plus is significant — $1,197 one-time is a real commitment, though lifetime access makes it defensible for studios.

Tags: 6,000+ free · 60,000+ Pro · 10 styles · SVG

 02. GlyfiQ

glyfiq.link

The largest and most comprehensive medical & health icon library available as a Figma plugin. If you design healthcare apps, medical dashboards, clinic websites or health & wellness products — this is the only plugin built specifically for that use case.

What makes it different from every other icon plugin on this list:

Every icon drawn by the same designer — true visual consistency guaranteed across all categories

The library is constantly growing — 634+ icons now, heading toward 6,000+ by 2029

Smart search with real medical terminology — search "hypertension", "orthopedic", "mammography" not just "heart" and "pill"

Editable stroke weights (Light, Regular, Bold) in one click

Pro subscribers can request custom icons drawn by the same designer in the same medical style — guaranteed visual consistency with the entire library

Also available for Framer and Adobe Illustrator

Pricing:

Free: 10% of the library for personal use — no subscription needed

Pro: $10/month or $100/year — full library access, commercial license, custom icon requests

Tags: 10% free · One style · SVG · Medical specialist

 03. Streamline Icons

🏆 Winner of Figma's Best Graphic Resource award. Founded 12 years ago, all icons drawn in-house by a team of 8 veteran icon designers. Icon sets 50x larger than the industry average.

Free tier:

109,621 icons across 34 families and 114 sets — SVG & PNG, free to download or copy.

Pro plans:

Icons only: from $15/month — 300,000+ vector icons, 55 icon sets

Illustrations only: from $15/month — 30,000 vector illustrations, 11 sets

Elements only: from $7/month — 12,500 pro elements, 37 sets

Full access: from $23/month (save 40%) — everything combined

What's included in Pro:

Figma plugin, Framer plugin, VS Code, Webflow, Miro, Lucid, MCP server access, Premium API (1,000 assets/week), unlimited projects and customers, forever usage of downloaded assets.

License:

Up to 100 icons per project. One licensed user per organization — additional seats sold separately.

The main gap for healthcare-specific work: no dedicated medical icon system, no specialist terminology search, no custom icon requests. Streamline is a broad professional library — GlyfiQ is a specialist tool built exclusively for medical and health design.

Tags: 109,621 free · 300,000+ Pro · 34 families · Award-winning

 04. Iconify

Home of open source icon sets — one framework aggregating all popular icon collections. Over 300,000 open source vector icons in one searchable interface.

Completely free and open source — MIT license for the framework itself, with individual icon sets using their own open source licenses (check each set separately).

Pros: massive combined library, free, works directly in Figma and Framer, actively maintained, sponsored by StackBlitz

Cons: you're searching across hundreds of different visual styles simultaneously — a "medical" search returns icons from Material Design, FontAwesome, Tabler, Phosphor all mixed together. No visual consistency guarantee across categories. No specialist medical terminology.

Tags: 300,000+ icons · Free · Open source · MIT license

 05. Iconsax

A clean, modern icon system with 7,000 free icons in 6 rounded styles and 2 finishes. Built for designers who want a polished consistent aesthetic for product and app design.

Pricing:

Free: 7,000 icons in 6 rounded styles, SVG/PNG/WebP, Vue/React/Svelte/Web Components

Pro: $9.99/month — 44,250 icons, 1,000 animated icons, font format, creating and saving projects

Annually: $39.99/year — same as Pro

For life: $199.99 one-time — lifetime access to all Pro features

Pros: consistent style, generous free tier, good dev formats, reasonable lifetime price

Cons: general purpose, not built for healthcare. Medical icon coverage is basic. No custom requests.

Tags: 7,000 free · 44,250 Pro · 6 styles · Lifetime option

 06. Noun Project

Nearly 10 million icons from real human designers worldwide — one of the largest icon databases in existence. AI-enhanced search with filtering by solid/line style and line weight.

Free features: unlimited PNG downloads (up to 512×512px) with creator attribution. Works with Figma Design, FigJam, Figma Buzz and Figma Slides.

Pro pricing:

Noun Pro: $3.33/month (yearly) — unlimited SVG downloads, no attribution, royalty-free commercial license, Mac/Figma/Adobe/Office plugins

Noun Pro Plus: $9.99/month (yearly) — everything above plus unlimited icon set downloads, photo downloads, crop & edit photos

Pros: enormous library, human-moderated quality, very affordable Pro tier, AI search, supports creators directly

Cons: icons come from thousands of contributors — style consistency varies significantly. No specialist medical terminology search. Not built for healthcare-specific workflows.

Tags: 10 million icons · Free with attribution · Pro from $3.33/mo

****

Every plugin on this list serves a real purpose. Streamline and Iconify for broad professional use. Hugeicons for generous free access. Iconsax for clean modern product design. Noun Project for sheer volume at an affordable price.

But none of them were built for healthcare.

If you design medical apps, clinical dashboards, healthcare websites, pharma materials, or anything in the health & wellness space — you know the pain of finding 50 icons that actually look like they belong together. Generic libraries have medical icons scattered across different styles, drawn by different people, with inconsistent geometry and terminology that doesn't match clinical language.

GlyfiQ was built specifically for that problem. One designer, one style, real medical terminology in search, and the ability to request any icon you need drawn in the same consistent style. It's not the biggest library on this list — but for healthcare UI it's the most purpose-built option available.

Not the biggest. Not the cheapest. But the only one built exclusively for medical and health design.

Library

Medical specialist

Consistent style

Figma plugin

Custom requests

Free tier

Price

Full disclosure: I'm the developer of GlyfiQ. I included it because it genuinely belongs on this list for anyone doing healthcare UI work — but I've tried to be fair about all the others.

Full disclosure: I'm the developer of Glyfiq, one of the options on this list. I built it because after 10 years of drawing medical icons for stock platforms, I couldn't find a plugin that solved the actual problem healthcare designers face. So take my placement with that context — but I've tried to be genuinely fair.

The real problem with medical icons in 2026:

Finding medical icons isn't hard. Finding 50+ medical icons that all look like they belong in the same UI — that's hard. Most libraries are built by hundreds of different contributors. The result is visual chaos the moment you combine icons from different categories.

1. Glyfiq — glyfiq.link

The only plugin built exclusively for medical and healthcare design.

Right now 500+ thin-line medical icons across cardiology, orthopedics, mental health, pharmacy, MRI, anatomy, mammography and more. Available directly in Figma, Framer and Adobe Illustrator.

What makes it different from everything else on this list:

Every single icon drawn by the same designer — true visual consistency guaranteed

SVG format and editable stroke weights (Light, Regular, Bold) in one click

Smart search using real medical terminology — "myocardial", "orthopedic implant", "mammography" — not just "heart" and "pill"

Pro subscribers can request any icon drawn in the same style — no other library offers this

50+ (10%) icons free for personal use, full commercial access $10/month

Roadmap: 6,000+ icons by 2029

Best for: healthcare UI designers, medical app teams, pharma agencies, clinic websites, health & wellness platforms, anyone who needs a consistent medical icon system.

2. Flaticon & Iconfinder — now both under Magnific — flaticon.com / www.magnific.com/icons

Flaticon is the world's largest icon database with 5,000,000+ icons. Iconfinder was a separate high-quality icon marketplace — both are now part of Magnific, the rebranded Freepik platform. The Figma plugin is called "Flaticon by Magnific".

Pros: massive combined library, professional quality, SVG/PNG/EPS export, free tier available

Cons: icons come from thousands of different contributors — visual consistency across a project is impossible without manual curation. Free tier requires attribution which creates licensing complications for commercial projects. Medical coverage is broad but completely generic.

Best for: quick one-off icon needs where visual consistency across the project doesn't matter.

3. Iconscout — iconscout.com

A large icon marketplace with a Figma plugin and good medical coverage.

Pros: high quality, consistent sets available, good Figma integration, subscription model with broad access

Cons: medical icons are spread across multiple contributor styles — no single consistent medical library. Search is general, not optimized for clinical terminology.

Best for: design teams who need a broad commercial icon library with occasional healthcare needs.

4. Noun Project — thenounproject.com

Huge collection of minimalist monochrome icons from designers worldwide.

Pros: enormous library, clean minimal style, subscription model, good for infographics

Cons: style varies wildly between contributors despite the monochrome format. Medical terminology search is basic. No stroke weight control.

Best for: infographics, presentations, public health materials where a rough visual match is acceptable.

5. Tabler Icons — tabler-icons.io

5,900+ clean outline icons, open source, MIT license. Has a Health/Medical category.

Pros: free, consistent style within the set, good Figma plugin, actively maintained

Cons: medical coverage is limited to basic symbols — stethoscope, pill, cross. No niche medical terminology, no cardiology subcategories, no custom requests. Not built for healthcare-specific workflows.

Best for: general product design that occasionally needs a health-related icon.

6. Iconify — iconify.design

Aggregates 100+ open source icon sets into one searchable interface with a Figma and Framer plugin.

Pros: massive combined library, free, works directly in Figma

Cons: the aggregation problem — you're searching across multiple different visual styles simultaneously. A "medical" search returns icons from Material Design, FontAwesome, Tabler, Phosphor all mixed together. Consistency across a project requires significant manual curation.

Best for: developers and designers who prioritize access over consistency.

7. Streamline Icons — streamlinehq.com

Large commercial icon library with a healthcare category.

Pros: professional quality, large library, good Figma and Framer integration

Cons: expensive for full access, healthcare is one category among hundreds — not a specialist tool. Less granular medical terminology in search.

Best for: design teams with budget who need a broad enterprise icon library that includes healthcare.

Streamline

❌

✅

✅

❌

⚠️

If you need a dedicated medical icon library with true visual consistency, real medical terminology search, and the ability to request custom icons in the same style — Glyfiq is the only option built specifically for that.

If you need a broad general library and don't mind manually curating consistency — Noun Project, Iconify or Tabler will get you there for free.

Happy to answer questions about any of these.

Every designer has their own plugin stack. Here's mine in 2026 — broken down by category with a short note on each.

 Icons

 Illustrations

 Mockups

Artboard Studio — polished device mockups for presentations and client handoffs.

 Effects

Noise & Texture — adds grain and texture to flat designs. Underrated for making UI feel more tactile.

Magic Cut — quick background removal directly in the canvas.

This is a personal list, not a sponsored one. GlyfiQ is my own product — I included it because it belongs here for anyone doing healthcare UI work, not to promote it.
