This is a submission for the World's Largest Hackathon Writing Challenge: Building with Bolt.
It’s Vibe Code Season!
Have you ever tried “vibe coding” before? A few months ago, my answer would’ve been a big NO. But things changed.

I had to get something done for a hackathon—so I jumped in as a solo hacker. That meant one thing: time to think, build, and figure things out.

The Project: Grant Quest
It took me about two weeks to really start working on my project. What I ended up building was Grant Quest — a simple platform that helps graduate students find scholarships and match with professors.

Sounds simple? Under the hood, it wasn’t.

The Technical Grind
I had to figure out payment integration using RevenueCat, which meant deep-diving into docs, handling integration setups, and ensuring it worked seamlessly. It stretched me, but it also taught me a lot.

And yes — I was happy I got it done in time for submission!

The Takeaway
Even though I didn’t win, I learned so much. I identified gaps in my skillset and saw how much more I could grow. One of the standout projects I admired during the hackathon was Tailor Labs — super inspiring.

From “hell no” to hackathon submission — this was a whole journey. And I’m proud of it.
