What I Built

I built a Chrome Extension called Simplify & Speak.

It helps users — especially kids, language learners, and anyone struggling with English — to:

Select any complex English text from a webpage

Automatically simplify it using Gemini AI

Listen to the simplified version using Murf AI's text-to-speech

This makes it easier for people to understand and learn, even if the original content is tough.

Code Repository :

https://github.com/Rk-2005/simplify-and-speak

How I Used Murf API

I used Murf's Text-to-Speech (TTS) API to convert the simplified sentence into natural-sounding audio.

The voices are natural and high quality, perfect for learning use cases.

Use Case & Impact

This extension is useful for:

Kids trying to understand hard textbook content

Non-native English speakers reading news or blogs

People with cognitive or reading disabilities

Teachers explaining concepts to early learners
