This work demonstrates that the few-layered ternary MTMSs are highly applicable for the development of advanced SIB anode materials with high performance.We report a nanocomposite coating for lithium metal protection, which consists of nanosized LiF particles embedded into a PEO polymer matrix. The composite offers a large LiF/PEO interface area throughout the coating, promoting an exceptionally high ionic conductivity of 0.97 mS cm-1 and high lithium-ion transference number of 0.77 at room temperature in contact with a carbonate-based liquid electrolyte. Both properties are key to realize uniform lithium plating and stripping and prevent lithium dendrite formation. Lithium metal electrodes coated with this protective coating enable stable lithium plating and stripping at 1 mA cm-2 for over 1000 h. A full cell with the coated lithium metal anode and an NMC622 cathode with an areal capacity of 1 mA h cm-2 shows much improved specific capacity and cycling stability. The cell exhibits a high initial capacity of 135 mA h g-1 and a capacity retention of 83% after 500 cycles at 1 mA cm-2. Even at a high current density of 3 mA cm-2, the full cell shows an initial capacity of 125 mA h g-1 and a capacity retention of 74% after 300 cycles.The stability of microporous metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) in moist environments must be taken into consideration for their practical implementations, which has been largely ignored thus far. Herein, we synthesized a new moisture-stable Zn-MOF, [Zn 2 (SDB) 2 (L) 2 ]·2DMA n , IITKGP-12, by utilizing a bent organic linker 4,4'-sulfonyldibenzoic acid (H2SDB) containing a polar sulfone group (-SO2) and a N, N-donor spacer (L) with a Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface area of 216 m2 g-1. ART0380 This material displays greater CO2 adsorption capacity over N2 and CH4 with high IAST selectivity, which is also validated by breakthrough experiments with longer breakthrough times for CO2. Most importantly, the separation performance is largely unaffected in the presence of moisture of simulated flue gas stream. Temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) analysis shows the ease of the regeneration process, and the performance was verified for multiple cycles. CO2 is attracted to the bonded structure (V-shape) of the sulfone moieties in a perpendicular fashion, where CCO2 is aligned with S, and the CO2 axis bisects the SO2 axis. Thus, the strategic approach to immobilize the polar sulfone moiety with a high number of inherent stronger M-N coordination and the absence of coordination unsaturation made this MOF potential toward practical CO2 separation applications.Paget disease of bone is a benign disorder characterized by focal areas of increased bone turnover in one or more skeletal sites. It usually affects older adults, and men are at a higher risk than women. Any bone may be affected, but the disease has a high preference for the pelvis, spine, skull, and long bones. Pain is the most common symptom, and presentation of the disease may depend on which bones are affected, the extent of involvement, and the presence of complications. Paget disease of bone may be asymptomatic, and suspicion arises from incidental findings of elevated serum alkaline phosphatase levels on routine blood work or abnormalities on imaging tests performed for an unrelated cause. Evidence-based guidelines recommend the use of plain radiography and serum alkaline phosphatase testing for initial diagnosis and radionuclide scans for delineation of the extent of disease. Treatment with nitrogen-containing bisphosphonates is recommended in active disease or when risk of complications is possible. Complications of the disease include arthritis, gait changes, hearing loss, nerve compression syndromes, and osteosarcoma. Total serum alkaline phosphatase is the suggested marker for assessing treatment response when high bone turnover occurs, and it should be measured at three to six months to evaluate initial response. Early diagnosis of Paget disease of bone remains key to its management because patients generally have a good prognosis if treatment is initiated before major complications arise. The primary care physician may need to consult with a specialist for confirmation of diagnosis and initiation of treatment.The demand for house calls is increasing because of the aging U.S. population, an increase in patients who are homebound, and the acknowledgment of the value of house calls by the public and health care industry. Literature from current U.S. home-based primary care programs describes health care cost savings and improved patient outcomes for older adults and other vulnerable populations. Common indications for house calls are management of acute or chronic illnesses, coordination of a post-hospitalization transition of care, health assessments, and end-of-life care. House calls may also include observation of activities of daily living, medication reconciliation, nutrition assessment, evaluation of primary caregiver stress, and the evaluation of patient safety in the home. Physicians can use the INHOMESSS mnemonic (impairments/immobility, nutrition, home environment, other people, medications, examination, safety, spiritual health, services) as a checklist for providing a comprehensive health assessment. This article reviews key considerations for family physicians when preparing for and conducting house calls or leading teams that provide home-based primary care services. House calls, with careful planning and scheduling, can be successfully and efficiently integrated into family medicine practices, including residency programs, direct primary care practices, and concierge medicine.Henoch-Schönlein purpura, now called immunoglobulin A (IgA) vasculitis, is a systemic, immune complex-mediated, small-vessel leukocytoclastic vasculitis characterized by nonthrombocytopenic palpable purpura, arthritis, and abdominal pain. It is the most common vasculitis in children but can also occur in adults. Diagnostic testing is required only to exclude other etiologies of purpura, to identify renal involvement, and, if indicated, to determine its extent with biopsy. Imaging or endoscopy may be needed to assess organ complications. IgA vasculitis spontaneously resolves in 94% of children and 89% of adults, making supportive treatment the primary management strategy. However, a subset of patients experience renal involvement that can persist and relapse years later. Additional complications can include gastrointestinal bleeding, orchitis, and central nervous system involvement. Systematic reviews have shown that steroids do not prevent complications and should not be used prophylactically.       <description>&lt;p&gt;By Feb 27th , 2020, the outbreak of COVID-19 caused 82623 confirmed cases and 2858 deaths globally, more than Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) (8273 cases, 775 deaths) and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) (1139 cases, 431 deaths) caused in 2003 and 2013 respectively. COVID-19 has spread to 46 countries internationally. Total fatality rate of COVID-19 is estimated at 3.46% by far based on published data from Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC). Average incubation period of COVID-19 is around 6.4 days, ranges from 0-24 days. The basic reproductive number (R0 ) of COVID-19 ranges from 2-3.5 at the early phase regardless of different prediction models, which is higher than SARS and MERS. All rights reserved.Based on column approximation (CA) assumption, many-beam Schaeublin-Stadelmann diffraction equations are employed for simulating the transmission electron microscopy (TEM) diffraction image contrast of dislocation loops within thin TEM foil of finite thickness, and two beam and many beam diffraction conditions are compared. Moreover, the effects of materials anisotropy and free surface relaxation induced elastic fields distortion of dislocation loops on the black-white image contrast are specially focused. It is found that anisotropy has a remarkable impact on the TEM image contrast of dislocation loop, and free surface relaxation induced image forces can change the black-white contrast features when dislocation loops are near TEM foil free surfaces. Thus, in order to make reliable judgment on the nature of defects, effects of free surface and anisotropy should be included when analysing irradiation induced dislocation loops and other type of defects in in-situ electron, proton, heavy-ion irradiation experiments under TEM environments. © 2020 The Authors Journal of Microscopy © 2020 Royal Microscopical Society.The live attenuated hepatitis A virus vaccine (HA-L) is in routine use in the Chinese national immunization program (NIP). The major disadvantages of HA-L include that theoretically, it may be possible for mutation shifts and secondary infections of the live vaccine viral strain. The aim of this study was to explore variation in the viral strain after vaccination with the HA-L. A total of 1297 fecal samples (including 470 for the 18 to 36-month-old age group, 527 for the 3 to 16-year-old group, and 300 for the 16 years and older group) were collected in the study, and the rate of hepatitis A virus (HAV) positivity in fecal samples was 11.36% (31/273), 11.44% (31/271), 9.70% (26/268), 8.47% (21/248), and 9.70% (23/237) on days 0, 7, 14, 21 and 28, respectively. A total of 77 HAV positive samples were randomly selected for VP1/2A (360 bp, 2218-2577) gene analysis. Phylogenetic trees were then constructed by the neighbor-joining method. Phylogenetic analyses showed that all the isolated HAV strains belonged to sub-genotype IB, which was the same as the vaccine strain. Compared with the vaccine strain, HM-175/7MK-5 (M16632.1), there were only two base mutations discovered, at 2291 and 2568. However, the amino acid mutation analysis showed that those base mutations were synonymous mutations. The isolated HAV strains were genetically stable. This study provides a reference for the safety concern regarding the routine and wide-range use in people older than 18 months. © 2020 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.Circulating adipokines and C-reactive protein (CRP) have been linked to breast cancer risk in observational epidemiological studies. The causal nature of these associations is unclear because of the susceptibility of conventional observational designs to residual confounding, reverse causation and other forms of bias. Mendelian randomisation (MR) uses genetic variants as proxies for risk factors to strengthen causal inference in observational settings. We performed a MR analysis to evaluate the causal relevance of six previously reported circulating adipokines [adiponectin, hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), interleukin-6, leptin receptor, plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 and resistin] and CRP in risk of overall and oestrogen receptor-stratified breast cancer in up to 122,977 cases and 105,974 controls of European ancestry. Genetic instruments were constructed from single-nucleotide polymorphisms robustly (p  less then  5 × 10-8 ) associated with risk factors in genome-wide association studies. Colocalisation was performed as a sensitivity analysis to examine whether findings reflected shared causal variants or genomic confounding. In MR analyses, there was evidence for an association of HGF with oestrogen receptor-negative cancer (odds ratio per standard deviation increase 1.17, 95% confidence interval 1.01-1.35; p = 0.035) but little evidence for associations of other adipokines or CRP with overall or oestrogen receptor-stratified breast cancer. Colocalisation analysis suggested that the association of HGF with oestrogen receptor-negative breast cancer was unlikely to reflect a causal association. Collectively, these findings do not support an important aetiological role of various adipokines or CRP in overall or oestrogen receptor-specific breast cancer risk. © 2020 The Authors. We tested for individual heterogeneity in reproductive performance in female grey seals (Halichoerus 16 grypus) using 35 years of mark-resighting data at Sable Island, Canada (43.93N 59.91W).We used Bayesian generalized linear mixed-effect models and multi-state open robust design mark-resight models to investigate whether population size negatively influences individual reproductive performance. We measured reproductive performance in two ways reproductive frequency (the probability of returning to the island to breed) and annual provisioning performance (the probability of successfully weaning a pup given aividuals). Repeatability of overall reproductive performance across environments indicates individual quality may be more influential to lifetime reproductive success than costs associated with reproductive investment. This quantification of relative fitness and its dynamics is crucial to understanding broad evolutionary processes in natural populations. This article is protected by copyright. The problem is challenging in that individual disease statuses are not observed and testing results are often subject to misclassification, with further complication that the misclassification may be differential as the group size and the number of the diseased individuals in the group vary. We propose a method to construct nonparametric estimation of the distribution and obtain its asymptotic properties. The performance of the distribution estimator is evaluated under various design considerations concerning group sizes and classification errors. The method is exemplified with data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey study to estimate the distribution and diagnostic accuracy of C-reactive protein in blood samples in predicting chlamydia incidence. © 2020 The International Biometric Society.OBJECTIVE To assess the efficacy of the various therapies used for the prevention of vestibular migraine (VM). METHODS Primary studies were identified though PubMed, Scopus, PsycINFO, and Cochrane Library by two independent investigators for articles published through April 2019. The search identified randomized comparison or observational studies pertaining to vestibular migraine treatment. Meta-analysis was performed on pre- and posttreatment Dizziness Handicap Inventory, vertigo frequency, and percentage of perceived improvement. RESULTS Literature search identified 13 studies that reported sufficient outcome measures to be included in the analysis. Patients with VM had a mean age of 43.3 years with female-to-male gender ratio of 2.11. Classes of therapeutic agents included antiepileptic drugs, calcium channel blockers, tricyclic antidepressants, β-blockers, serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors, and vestibular rehabilitation. All treatment options that were analyzed demonstrated improvement in all of the outcome parameters, but due to significant heterogeneity and lack of standardized reporting on outcomes, establishment of preferred treatment modality could not be determined. CONCLUSIONS Various treatment modalities have been evaluated for preventative treatment of VM. However, the role of the GNRI in predicting clinical outcomes in patients with advanced head and neck cancer (AHNC) has not been investigated. The aim of the present study was to examine the association between the GNRI and prognosis in patients with AHNC. STUDY DESIGN Retrospective cohort study. METHODS Data collected between 2002 and 2013 from Tsukuba University Hospital were reviewed. The GNRI was calculated according to the equation, 1.489 × serum albumin (g/l) + 41.7 × (body weight/ideal body weight). Characteristics and prognosis were compared among three risk groups high (GNRI 98). The primary endpoint was overall survival. RESULTS A total of 248 AHNC patients were enrolled, among whom 134 (54%) exhibited no nutritional risk, 53 (21%) had an intermediate risk for malnutrition, and 61 (25%) exhibited a high risk for malnutrition. Three-year survival rates according to the three-group GNRI scores for normal, intermediate, and high risk were 76.6%, 56.3%, and 19.5%, respectively. As the three-group GNRI score increased, the risk for mortality significantly increased (adjusted hazard ratio [HR] for intermediate to normal, 1.73 [95% CI, 1.02-2.92]; adjusted HR for high to normal, 4.31 [95% CI, 2.71-6.84]). CONCLUSIONS The GNRI could be considered a useful prognostic factor in patients with AHNC.
