This is a submission for the Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge Week 4: Ghost in the Machine

 What I Built

GhostAI Pro is an AI-powered code debugging assistant designed to help developers identify coding errors, understand bugs, and explore possible solutions.
The project focuses on making debugging easier for students and developers by combining a web interface with AI-powered code analysis.
Inspired by the theme "Ghost in the Machine," GhostAI Pro aims to uncover hidden issues in code and help users understand how to fix them.

 Demo

< video demo. --> https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OryYW8b8cj1TrM82F-MYGCuq66JbqqG8/view?usp=sharing

 Code

https://github.com/Chetan786-pixel/GhostAI-Pro

 How I Built It

GhostAI Pro is built using a frontend-backend architecture.
Next.js: Frontend interface
Python and FastAPI: Backend API
Ollama: Integration with a locally running AI model
AI-powered code analysis: Designed to explain code errors and suggest possible corrections.
The project connects the frontend to the backend, which is designed to process code analysis requests using a local AI model.

 Why Does Open Innovation Matter?

Open innovation gives developers the opportunity to learn from existing projects, share ideas, and collaborate on improvements.
By making GhostAI Pro available on GitHub, I want to share my work with the developer community and continue learning about AI integration, debugging tools, and open-source development.

 My Agent Session

Building GhostAI Pro has been a hands-on learning experience in integrating AI with a web application. I worked on connecting a Next.js frontend with a Python FastAPI backend and exploring local AI inference using Ollama.
This project helped me understand how different components work together to build an AI-powered developer tool. I plan to continue improving the project and welcome feedback and contributions from the open-source community.

 The Spirit of It

Sometimes, the hardest bugs to solve are the ones we cannot immediately see.
GhostAI Pro explores how AI can help developers investigate these hidden issues, understand errors, and discover possible solutions.
The goal is to make debugging less intimidating and help developers learn from their mistakes.

LazyDesk AI: A Smart AI-Powered Document Organizer

This is a submission for the Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge Week 3: Slow and Steady

 What I Built

I built LazyDesk AI, an AI-powered document organizer that helps users understand and organize their documents with less manual effort.

Users can upload PDF, TXT, and DOCX files. The app uses AI to generate a concise summary, assign a useful category, and suggest a descriptive filename. Users can then download organized copies in a ZIP archive, grouped by category.

The goal is to make document management simpler and reduce the time spent sorting files manually.

 Demo

https://lazydesk-ai-veq45kxyb3a9xzlt5276xd.streamlit.app/

 Code

https://github.com/Chetan786-pixel/LazyDesk-AI

 How I Built It

I built LazyDesk AI using Python and Streamlit, with a custom CSS interface.

The main components are:

Streamlit: Provides the web interface and file-upload workflow.
Google Gemini API: Generates document summaries, categories, and suggested filenames.

pypdf: Extracts text from PDF files.
python-docx: Extracts text from Word documents.
Python ZIP utilities: Packages organized copies into a downloadable ZIP archive.

I also added file-size limits, filename sanitization, and session-state handling to support the workflow.

 Why Does Open Innovation Matter?

Open-source projects make it easier for developers to learn from existing tools, experiment with ideas, and share useful software with others.

Building LazyDesk AI helped me bring together web development, API integration, document processing, and deployment in one practical project. Sharing the code allows others to explore the implementation and suggest improvements.

 My Agent Session

 The Lazy Payoff

LazyDesk AI reduces repetitive document-sorting work by automating categorization, summarization, and filename suggestions.

Instead of manually reviewing every document and deciding how to name it, users can start with AI-generated suggestions and review the results before downloading the organized files.

ShopListing AI: A Product Listing Generator for Small Sellers

This is a submission for the Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge Week 2: Side Hustle

 What I Built

ShopListing AI is a simple web app designed for small sellers who need help drafting product titles, descriptions, and tags for online listings.

Users enter a product name, target customer, key features, price, and selling platform. The app generates a draft that can be copied and edited.

The goal is to reduce repetitive writing work for independent sellers.

 Demo

https://profound-speculoos-cb6450.netlify.app

 Code

https://github.com/Chetan786-pixel/shoplisting-ai

 How I Built It

I built the current prototype using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It has a product input form, listing preview, and copy buttons.

Current limitation: The prototype uses template-based generation and does not yet connect to an AI model.

 Why Does Open Innovation Matter?

The next step is to integrate an open-weight language model so sellers can customize listing generation and reduce dependence on proprietary AI APIs. I want to explore model choice, affordability, and privacy as the project develops.

This is a submission for the Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge Week 1: Touch Grass

 What I Built

TouchGrassAI is a web application that encourages people to take breaks from their screens and explore the outdoors.

Users can choose Nature, Birdwatching, or Gardening and select a duration of 15, 30, or 60 minutes. The app provides outdoor missions with activities tailored to the selected duration.

I built this project to make outdoor breaks more engaging and help people discover simple activities in nature.

The application currently uses predefined mission templates to provide fast responses.

 Demo

Live Demo: https://touchgrass-ai-mauve.vercel.app/

GitHub Repository: https://github.com/Chetan786-pixel/touchgrass-ai

 Code

Source Code: https://github.com/Chetan786-pixel/touchgrass-ai

Tech Stack: Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Vercel.

 How I Built It

I built TouchGrassAI using Next.js and TypeScript, with Tailwind CSS for styling. I created an API route to select outdoor missions based on the user's chosen interest and duration.

The application currently uses predefined mission templates rather than an AI model. This keeps mission generation fast and avoids requiring an external AI API key.

 Why Does Open Innovation Matter?

Open innovation allows developers to learn from one another, share ideas, and improve software collaboratively. An open-source approach can help other developers contribute new mission categories, improve accessibility, and expand the variety of outdoor activities.

I would like to keep improving TouchGrassAI and welcome contributions that make the experience more useful.
