I Built Flowstate Because We Somehow Made Productivity More Complicated Than The Actual Work

Live: https://flowstate.chromitedev.xyz/
GitHub: https://github.com/ChromiteDev/flowstate

 We have a strange problem.

Humans built some of the most advanced technology in history.

We created:

Computers that fit in our pockets

Instant communication across the planet

Machines that explore space

Software that can do incredible things

And somehow...

We still struggle with:

"What should I actually focus on today?"

That is the problem I wanted to solve.

So I built Flowstate.

 The productivity paradox

We have never had more productivity tools.

Seriously.

Think about it.

There are apps for:

Tasks

Notes

Calendars

Habits

Goals

Projects

Time tracking

Team management

There is probably an app to help you organize the apps that organize your life.

At some point we stopped being productive and started managing productivity.

The funniest part?

Sometimes creating the perfect productivity system becomes the biggest productivity project.

You spend two hours making a beautiful workspace...

Then realize:

You have done absolutely nothing.

A masterpiece of organization.

Zero progress.

The moment I realized something was wrong

I noticed a pattern.

People were not struggling because they were lazy.

They were struggling because their attention was constantly being divided.

Every day we fight:

Notifications

Endless information

Too many choices

Too many responsibilities

Too many things competing for our attention

The internet gave us unlimited access to information.

But our attention?

That is still limited.

 The question behind Flowstate

I kept coming back to one question:

"What actually deserves my attention right now?"

Not:

"What are all the possible things I could do?"

Not:

"How can I create the most complicated workflow imaginable?"

Not:

"Should I reorganize my folders for the fifth time?"

(We have all been there.)

The goal was simple:

Create a tool that helps people find clarity.

 Introducing Flowstate 🌊

Flowstate is a Personal Focus System designed to help people:

Understand what matters today

Focus deeply

Track meaningful progress

Build consistency

Reduce mental clutter

The idea is simple:

Less time managing your life.

More time living it.

 What can Flowstate do?

 🎯 Today

A simple starting point.

Instead of opening your day with a massive list of everything you have ever wanted to do...

Flowstate helps you see:

Your main focus

Your priorities

What matters now

Because your most important task should not be hidden under 40 smaller tasks named:

"Maybe important."

 🌊 Flow Mode

A distraction-free environment for focused work.

The idea:

When it is time to focus, everything unnecessary disappears.

No complicated setup.

No endless customization.

No spending an hour choosing the perfect productivity theme instead of actually doing the work.

(Yes, people do this. I am people.)

 🚀 Goals

Ideas are everywhere.

Execution is harder.

Flowstate helps transform:

"I want to build something."

into:

"Here is what I am working on today."

 📁 Projects

For the things you are creating.

Whether it is:

A business idea

A personal project

School work

Creative work

Because every project starts with:

"This could be something."

And sometimes ends with:

"I should probably finish that."

 🔥 Habits

Consistency creates progress.

Flowstate helps track:

Routines

Improvement

Personal growth

Without turning your life into a spreadsheet simulator.

 📊 Flow Score™

A personal progress measurement.

Not a competition.

Not another leaderboard where someone named:

ProductivityDragon999

claims they worked 18 hours today.

Flow Score exists to show your progress over time.

The only person you need to beat is yesterday's version of yourself.

 Built with modern technology

Flowstate is built using:

React

TypeScript

Tailwind CSS

Framer Motion

Supabase

The focus was not just creating something that looks good.

The goal was creating something that feels good to use.

 Why open source?

Because tools that help people should be improved by people.

I want Flowstate to grow with developers, designers, students, creators, and anyone who believes attention is worth protecting.

Open source means:

More ideas.

More perspectives.

More people building something meaningful together.

 What I learned building Flowstate

Building a product is much harder than having an idea.

The idea is usually the easy part.

The hard parts are:

Making decisions

Removing unnecessary features

Designing something people actually want

Staying focused when there are infinite possibilities

The hardest feature to build was probably saying:

"No."

Every feature sounds useful.

Every idea sounds exciting.

But great products are not built by adding everything.

They are built by knowing what matters.

 The future of Flowstate

This is just the beginning.

The long-term vision is simple:

Build a better relationship between humans and technology.

Technology should help people create.

Not constantly interrupt them.

 Try Flowstate

🌊 Website:
https://flowstate.chromitedev.xyz/

⭐ GitHub:
https://github.com/ChromiteDev/flowstate

If you like the idea:

Star the repository

Share feedback

Contribute

Tell someone who needs more focus

 Final thought

The world does not have a shortage of information.

It has a shortage of attention.

Every notification asks for a piece of you.

Every platform wants you to stay longer.

Flowstate is built around a different idea:

Your attention is yours.

Protect it.

Use it well.

Build what matters.

🌊 Enter your Flowstate.

I Built Kernel: A Better Way for Developers to Discover and Share Software

Every developer has experienced this.

You need a tool.

A component.

A starter kit.

An API.

A template.

Something that can save you days of work.

So you search.

You check GitHub.
You check random websites.
You check forums.
You check endless lists.

And sometimes the perfect solution exists...

But you never find it.

That problem is why I built Kernel.

 What is Kernel?

Kernel is a marketplace built for developers.

A place where developers can discover, publish, and share software products.

Instead of searching across dozens of different platforms, Kernel brings developer-built products together in one ecosystem.

You can discover:

SaaS starter kits

APIs

UI components

Templates

Developer tools

Plugins

Libraries

Software products

Built by developers, for developers.

 Why I Built It

I noticed something:

Developers create amazing things every day.

But many great projects never get discovered.

A useful tool can be buried in a repository.

A creator can spend months building something and never find the right audience.

I wanted to build a place where developers can turn their work into something bigger.

Not just code.

Products.

 For Developers Who Build

If you create software, Kernel gives you a place to showcase your work.

Publish your:

Tools

Components

APIs

Templates

Applications

Build your developer identity.

Share what you create.

Reach people who need what you built.

For Developers Who Need To Build Faster

Not every project needs to start from zero.

Sometimes the fastest way forward is using something that already exists.

Kernel helps developers find:

Quality resources

Production-ready tools

Time-saving solutions

New ideas

Spend less time rebuilding.

Spend more time creating.

 This Is Just The Beginning

My vision for Kernel is simple:

Create the best ecosystem for software creators.

A place where developers can discover incredible tools.

A place where creators can grow.

A place where great software does not get lost.

If you build software, I would love for you to check it out.

Explore Kernel:
https://projectkernel.netlify.app/

If you have feedback, ideas, or something you think should exist on Kernel, I want to hear it.

The future of software is built by developers.

Kernel is built for them.

🚀 Introducing Aura — The Next Generation of Digital Identity

🌐 Live now: https://aura.chromitedev.xyz/

Today I’m launching Aura, a futuristic social identity platform built around one idea:

Your online identity should feel like you.

Most profiles today are just usernames, pictures, and a few links. Aura is designed to turn that into something more — a customizable digital presence that people can build, share, and evolve.

 What is Aura?

Aura is not another link-in-bio tool.

It’s a digital identity ecosystem where users can create their own personal space online with:

Custom profiles

Themes and animations

Music and visual effects

Social connections

Achievements

A unique Aura Score

The goal is to make profiles feel less like pages and more like personal worlds.

 ✨ Core Features

 🎨 Custom Profiles

Create a profile that represents you:

Custom usernames

Avatars and banners

Galleries

About sections

Interests and hobbies

Social links

Music players

Custom themes

Animated backgrounds

Profile effects

Every Aura profile is built to be unique.

 🛠️ Aura Studio

A creative editor for designing your identity:

Live profile editing

Drag-and-drop layouts

Theme customization

Animation controls

Background editing

Font customization

Real-time previews

 🌎 Social Experience

Aura makes identity social:

Follow users

Discover creators

React to profiles

Comment and reply

Share profiles

Track visitors

Receive notifications

 ⚡ Aura Score

Every profile has an Aura Score.

It measures things like:

Profile creativity

Customization

Activity

Achievements

Engagement

Community participation

The goal isn't just popularity — it's creativity.

 🛒 Creator Marketplace (Coming)

Aura will allow creators to build and share:

Themes

Layouts

Widgets

Backgrounds

Fonts

Icons

Animations

Effects

Badges

Creator collections

Creators will be able to publish, rate, and share their designs with the community.

 🔥 Why I Built Aura

Online identity has become repetitive.

Everyone has the same profile layouts, the same cards, and the same experience.

Aura is an attempt to change that.

Instead of asking:

"How many followers do you have?"

Aura asks:

"What did you create?"

 Built With

Aura is built using:

React

TypeScript

Tailwind CSS

Framer Motion

Supabase

The focus is on a fast, modern, and premium experience.

 What's Next?

Aura is still evolving. Future updates will focus on:

More customization options

Creator tools

Marketplace expansion

Better discovery

More social features

New ways to express identity

 Try Aura

Create your digital identity:

I’m building Aura publicly and would love feedback from developers, creators, and anyone interested in the future of online identity.

Drop your Aura. ✨

While building GitScope, I ran into two bugs that caused major issues during testing.

GitScope is an open-source GitHub profile analyzer that turns GitHub data into developer insights, scores, and recommendations.

Bug #1: Custom Domain Deployment Failure

After deploying GitScope, my custom domain would not connect correctly.

The issue was in my netlify.toml configuration. I had not configured the publish directory properly, so Netlify was not pointing to the correct build output.

After fixing the configuration to use the correct dist directory and redeploying, the domain worked.

Bug #2: Developer Scores Not Showing

The second issue was with the frontend state.

GitHub profile data was loading, but the generated developer scores were not appearing in the UI.

I traced the flow:

GitHub Data → Analysis → Score Generation → Frontend State → UI

The issue was in how the frontend handled the returned analysis data. After fixing the state handling, scores displayed correctly.

What I Learned

These bugs showed me that small configuration and state issues can completely break an application.

Debugging GitScope helped me better understand how deployment, data processing, and frontend systems connect together.

Demo:
https://gitscope.chromitedev.xyz

I Built GitScope: Turning GitHub Profiles Into Developer Growth Reports

GitHub profiles contain a lot of information.

You can see repositories, commits, languages, stars, and activity — but raw numbers don't always tell the full story.

I wanted a better way to understand what a GitHub profile actually says about a developer.

So I built GitScope.

 What is GitScope?

GitScope is an open-source GitHub profile analyzer that turns public GitHub data into a developer report.

Instead of only showing statistics, it focuses on understanding the bigger picture:

Developer growth

Repository quality

Technology usage

Coding activity

Open-source presence

 Features

 🚀 Developer Score

GitScope generates a score from 0-100 based on different areas of a developer profile.

It looks at things like:

Activity consistency

Repository quality

Technology diversity

Community impact

Profile completeness

 📦 Repository Intelligence

Repositories are analyzed beyond just stars and forks.

GitScope looks at:

Documentation quality

Maintenance activity

Project health

Community signals

 🧠 Developer Insights

The goal isn't just showing data.

GitScope provides recommendations that help developers improve their GitHub presence.

Examples:

Improve repository descriptions

Add documentation

Create a stronger developer profile

Highlight important projects

 Built With

GitScope uses modern web technologies:

Next.js 15

TypeScript

Tailwind CSS

Supabase

GitHub REST + GraphQL APIs

 Why I Built It

A GitHub profile has become an important part of a developer's online identity.

For students, job seekers, open-source contributors, and professional developers, understanding how your profile looks can be valuable.

GitScope is my attempt to make that information easier to understand.

 Looking For Feedback

I would love to hear from other developers:

What GitHub metrics do you think matter most?

What features would you add?

Would you use a tool like this for improving your profile?

Demo:
https://gitscope.chromitedev.xyz

Source code:
https://github.com/ChromiteDev/GitScope
