Holla Amigos 👋. I'm Olorunfemi Victor, an aspiring frontend developer from Nigeria and YES you're right - I have been hooked up on watching series of tutorials without really getting out there to build something using what I've learnt 🤦‍♂️. On that note, I decided to set a goal for myself, the goal was to enroll for at least 3 internships this year and get to contribute to amazing real world projects and ultimately get a job. So far so good, I have been consistently keeping up. First stop was Zuri-Internship organized by theZuriTeam. Zuri-Internship is a 6-months virtual internship targeted towards absolute beginners. There are different track's including frontend, backend, UI/UX, Mobile. At the end of the learning phase of the internship, we were grouped into team. Each team were assigned a project: my teams project. It was an exciting experience for me and I got to meet way more experienced individuals I could learn from.
Moving on, in the fulfillment of my goal, I enrolled for the HNGi8 internship. HNGi8 is a 3 months virtual internship targeted towards intermediate level. Since my previous internship was a beginner friendly one, I needed something more challenging and HNGi8 is a perfect match. At the end of this internship I'm hoping to become a better frontend developer by realizing my weakness and improve on it, I hope to be more confident especially when working under pressure, I hope to meet exciting people and ultimately get a job.
