Introduction
One factor inhibiting people from going into programming or pursuing a career in a technical field is the fact that it won't be easy to learn and quick to earn.
What draws people into programming is because they feel it's an easy way to make a lot of money, then eventually after falling into an endless wait they quit because they end up realizing that it takes an awful lot of time and patience before one gets employed and starts working.
This article will discuss some ways people who have intermediate knowledge in programming can earn some money until the job application is finally accepted.

Ways to earn quickly as a programmer before you land that dream job.

1. Blogging
One of the ways of earning as a programmer is through blogging.
Blogging is the process of writing a blog. A blog is a piece of writing uploaded to a webpage to pass information. There are several blogging platforms for programmers and developers examples are dev.to and hashnode. You can write blogs on several aspects relating to programming examples are programming tutorials or how-to write-ups, you can earn through web motivation so for every article you write based on the words and views you get paid.
Blogging is very useful particularly because you'll be forced to do research and come out of your comfort zone plus it'll be a nice way of showing off your knowledge in the field.

2. Using Social Media
Social media platforms are very useful in making money as a programmer some of the most popular platforms for these are:

YouTube: Youtube is one of the most popular social media platforms which can be accessed around the globe. You can earn this way by creating videos and uploading them on the platform and you get paid per view.

TikTok: This is another really popular social media platform where you can create short videos and how-to tutorials which can get you likes and followers and can also be monetized.

Twitter: Twitter is a very large social media platform that can also be monetized per the tweets you make and threads you create.

3. Coding competitions
Coding competitions like hackathons or google programming competitions are ways to test and show off your skills, vast knowledge in programming, and technical abilities. These challenges will test you to the core on how you can create solutions to problems and if successful you stand a chance to win prizes.

4. Becoming a tutor
You can earn money by becoming a tutor and teaching programming languages, holding classes, and getting paid for it.

5. Freelancing
There are currently several freelancing sites which include Fiverr, Upwork, and so on. These provide a connection between clients and employees, so you can be employed and paid for your work as a programmer.

6. Writing a book
This might seem difficult and it definitely will take a lot of time and reading as well as learning but once you've got enough knowledge or when you feel it's right, go for it, writing a book will make you stand out as a recognized author and you can sell your book at reasonable prices.

Conclusion
The road to getting a career in programming is a long one and some might give up midway because it requires investment as well as time but doesn't pay immediately, but why not start one of the above you can find yourself and keep going until you get that dream job and no doubt doing one of the above or all will get you more recognized and increase your chances of getting a job.

Data science as a career path

Introduction
Beginning a career path in data science which is one of the most popular tech fields today, and is predicted to grow further in the next few years but before pursuing a career it's better to understand what data is and the career aspects that it entails. First off, what is data?

Data
Data can be said to be a collection of facts, figures, or details in general about people, places, or things. Data is everywhere around us today from the number of tweets we post a day, to our unique bank accounts number when dealing with this much data generated regularly, there is a need to filter, store and manage them. Data can be classified into 2 types, qualitative and quantitative data.

Qualitative data is the non-numerical type of data consisting of descriptions and letters like job-title, company names, and so on.

Quantitative data are data that are numerical in format and can be counted.

Classes of data
Data can be classified into three forms:
1.Unstructured data
This type of data which is unarranged, and raw format, these types of data require several pre-processing and tuning to be understood and able to gain insight. These types of data are gotten from data lakes.

2.Semi-structured data
Semi-structured data are those which are partially structured but do not have a fixed form, this kind of data may contain missing values but are possible to find relations or structure.

3.Structured data
These are data that have been arranged in a relational database format and can be easy to understand, use and draw insight from.

Data paths
When talking about data science t4 different data paths are interrelated but quite stand out in certain areas they are.

1. Data engineers- These are the people who focus on data collection and database creation from raw unstructured or semi-structured data. They use their advanced engineering skills to manage a large amount of data gathered using cloud-based software to produce a structured data model.

2. Data analysts-They have the responsibility to be able to draw insights from data given by the data engineers, they organize and visualize the data as well as create dashboards for easy and proper understanding of the data using various tools.

3. Data scientist-They have the responsibility of drawing insights from data and creating prediction models for the target value of the company then presenting and visualizing the model and how it works to improve business and the industry.

4. Machine learning engineers- They focus on creating machine learning models with already cleaned and structured data and utilizing deep learning (neural networks) to create models for the use of the company and deployment.

Skills required when becoming a data scientist.

Good communication skills- Some working with data cannot handle it alone, most companies hire several data scientists or their services so working on a team requires good collaboration and communication skills.

Data cleaning- A good data scientist should be able to clean data and clear missing values in data.

Ability to visualize data rightly- A good day scientist should have good visualization skills, knowing what to visualize and the best way to do so.

Programming skills- A good data scientist should know how to program or code as it has many uses in drawing insight and building models for data. Required languages to learn include python or /and R programming language, SQL.

Good storytelling skills-A good data scientist should be able to not only speak technically but also be able to put life into the data through exemplary storytelling skills.

Good maths and statistics skills-A good knowledge of maths and statistics are needed to understand and draw insight from data.

Cloud computing-A good data scientist should be familiar with cloud-based services and be able to operate and use them when managing data.

Version control-Version control with git and GitHub knowledge is required when working in an organization.

Deployment- A good data scientist should know about a model deployment (with Python:Flask or Django).

Conclusion
A role in the field of data science can be quite tricky because when working with different companies they have different areas of focus and you might be required to do mainly a sub-field that you might not want to but in all its quite an interesting field and growing as well since no matter what, data will always remain and data scientist will be needed.
Hope you enjoyed this article, read, like, and comment thanks.

Web development as a career path

Intro to web development
Web development is the act or process of developing a website or a web app. This also involves creating a well-designed outlook and functionality of web software that is easily accessible to the users.
Web Development is one of the fastest-growing fields in the tech industry and Job opportunities are predicted to expand further by 13% between 2020 and 2030 according to the US bureau of labor statistics with an average pay of $77,200 per year.

Types of web developers
There are three types of web developers

The front-end developer

The back-end developer

The full stack developer

1.The front-end developer
Front-end developers are those who manage the visible aspect of the website. This can be referred to as the client-side interface. They manage the way the web pages work and link them to other web pages as well as the design of the web page. They are mainly concerned with the page which is seen by the user. They work on mainly HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

2.The back-end developer
The back-end developers are those who maintain the server-side of a website, they are more concerned with how a website works and links together with a database to draw information. The back-end developers mainly work with APIs (Application Programmable interface), data collection, back-end logic, and architecture. This is the part of a website the user cannot see. An example is when you fill a form on a website, ever wonder how and where that goes to? It's managed by back-end developers. They use languages like Php, SQL, and C#.

3.The full stack developer
Full stack developers are those concerned with everything done on a website. They have knowledge of the backend as well as the front-end aspect of web development and are fully able to implement this in making a complete and fully functioning website.

Skills required to be a web developer
There are prior skills to become a web developer here are some of them:

Creative thinking
Web developers should have a good graphic designer because he/she would need to design a webpage appealing to the user as well as need to create well-working interfaces that are easily understood.

Programming skills
A good web developer must be a good programmer and should be able to think logically to implement various skills and logic into websites to improve use and functionality.

Collaboration skills
Web developers are usually hired and put in teams because building and managing a website is quite a huge amount of work for a single individual so a good web developer should have good communication and collaboration skills.

Programming Languages and other software tools needed

1.A markup language
HTML(Hypertext Markup Language) is one of the most popular markup languages today and is used for the basic aspect of web designing which includes the creation of text-based formats, headers, footers, buttons, and so on.

2.A styling sheet language
CSS(Cascading Style Sheet) shines in this case as it is the most widely used ruling format to design a web page applying colors, graphics, and so on.

3.A scripting language
Javascript is the scripting language that can be used inline in the markup language or externally, it gives functionality to a website. It is required to learn one or more of its libraries or frameworks like Angular or Vanilla Js.

4.A back-end language
C# and PHP(Hypertext Preprocessor) are great languages used in the back end, and server-side programming, they contain easy and reliable features.

5.A database language
SQL (Structured Query Language) is a popular database language for data usage, storage, and management.

6.Version control
Git is a good version control system that is used to store and update web pages without causing errors on the new features uploaded.

Conclusion.
The road of a thousand miles begins with a step, If you end up deciding to follow this aspect it'll be beneficial as long as you have these skills and knowledge. Hope you enjoyed reading this article, like, share and comment your thoughts.

Programming languages are languages that establish communication between the computer and the user. With this, users can set instructions for the computers to follow, implement algorithms, create applications, websites, and so on.
The first high-level programming language created was FORTRAN (Formula Translator) which was tested in 1954 and released in 1957. It was created by John Backus under the influence of IBM. This has led to the development of various other programming languages which run fast and excel in various aspects. Here is a list of the top 5 programming languages in the year 2022.

Python.
Python is one of the most popular programming languages today. It was created in 1991 by Guido van Rossum. It has uses in various aspects of tech including web development and design, data analysis, data science, machine learning, GUI based applications. It is fast and easy to learn by most people. Most beginners start with the python programming language and it has shown promise that it will remain useful for a very long time. Python as one of the most used programming languages is in high demand so payments are between 5 to 6 figures which vary by field of study, industry, and application.

Javascript.
Javascript is a language developed by Brendan Eich in 1995. It is a high-level programming language that works hand in hand with HTML and CSS. While HTML is seen as the building block and CSS as the styling and beautifying script, Javascript is the functional aspect that makes the interface interact with the user. Javascript is one of the most popular languages since web development is such a big field in the industries it is arguably the best programming language but is limited to functional programming and web development. It is used for most websites designed today.

C#.
C# is a language developed in the year 2000 by Microsoft's Anders Hejlsberg.
It was developed similarly to java but specifically to run in Microsoft's .Net framework. C# has various uses in the tech industry which comprises game development, web development, machine learning, Cloud-based services, mobile, and desktop apps. Those who use the languages vary from beginners to experts. It's quite easy to learn and implement but like every programming language, it takes time.

Java.
Java was first released in 1995 by James Gosling in Sun Microsystems. It is a language designed for embedded network applications running on different platforms like phones and devices. It can also be used to build web applications, GUI's, mobile applications, games, and so on. It is a fairly difficult programming language to learn but widely used as it is known for its diversity and ability to create applications that run on various systems.

C++.
C++ was developed by Bjarne Stroustrup in 1985.C++ is used to design operating systems, GUI's, Games, Database software, banking applications, and so on. It is a strongly typed object-oriented programming language, fairly easy to learn but like all programming languages require commitment and dedication to learn.

All programming languages are in use no matter how old they may seem, There are some which do the work faster and easier that's why I've highlighted 5 of the most useful programming languages as of 2022, but it's important to learn them in accord to the technical field you're driving to as most of them are included in job requirements, wish you a safe tech journey ahead, like, share, comment your thoughts below.

At the start of a tech journey, one might be overwhelmed at first due to the vast availability of different programming paths and might wonder where to begin.
In this article, I'll be sharing how to begin and where to start learning to program or code as soon as possible.
First, it is important to have a computer system when programming, android interfaces have been developed but have certain limitations to them.
Next, choose a tech path, there are several paths in this field of study. Here are some of them:

Web development

Cyber Security

Software development

Data Science

Database administrator

Cloud computing

In addition to the several fields of programming, some languages are specific and work better in these aspects.
Here are the roles of each of the above fields and the recommended languages.

Web development:This field of study comprises people who write codes or programs to create websites and design the look and functions. Recommended languages to learn for this among others are HTML(Hypertext markup language), CSS(Cascading style sheet), and Javascript. You can learn at freecodecamp.

Cyber Security:This field involves the management of software security online to prevent hackers from getting through important files or devices that can be harmful to the organization or private data. Their main aim is to protect data from cyber-attacks. Programming languages viable here include Python, Javascript, PHP, and Shell scripting. You can learn more about this field at TryHackMe.

Software Development:This field involves the designing, programming, maintenance, and updating of various software programs on the computer or mobile devices. Programming languages best to learn in this field include Python, Java, and C++. You can learn more about how to begin at Udemy.

Data science:This field of study includes the gathering, management, cleaning of data, using the data to draw insight with the help of visualization, and building machine learning models to predict new outcomes based on the data. Languages to learn in this field include Python or R, and SQL(Standard query language). You can learn at Datacamp.

Database administrators:These are involved in the arrangement and maintenance of a database. Programming languages to learn in this field include Python, SQL, and Java. You can learn at Oracle.

Cloud computing: This is the delivery and management of databases, servers, networking, and storage over the Internet. They work on what is called "the cloud" which are servers that can be accessed over the internet that include databases and storage. Programming languages recommended for this are Java, Golang, and PHP. You can learn at Amazon web services.

One of the most popular places to learn about these courses and others is Udemy. It contains various tutorials and videos as well as the certification at the end of the course.
Seen one that sparks your interest? After picking your desired career path and programming languages to learn it's important to build projects and create a portfolio/CV/Resume which will increase your chances of getting a job in the future.
One way to do this is by joining and contributing to open source projects which can easily be done at techpro.club.
Techpro club is a platform to help you hone your programming skills and learn to collaborate with people early on in your career even as students or freshers. You will get to work with people in a related field, ask questions and learn. You can visit the GitHub repository here. All that's left now is for you to start, Wish you a wonderful programming journey ahead.

 Introduction

It's been two months since our version 0.1 release. We were constantly developing Techpro.club and are happy to launch version 0.2 today.

We launched the platform with the idea of helping open source projects find more contributors and adopters while as a developer you build your live developer portfolio. However, we are changing our approach to the project a little.

(Quick Recap :Introducing techpro.club: A platform to discover amazing open source projects)

 What has changed?

 Our Focus 👓

We are completely focusing on onboarding students and freshers who wish to build a career in Tech or are exploring the options. While early in their careers, they have a tremendous opportunity to learn and create fantastic softwares.

Techpro club is a platform to help them hone their programming skills and learn to collaborate with people early on in their careers. While they contribute to projects, ask questions, and share knowledge, we track them down in one place and help them build a better portfolio.

 New Features ✨

Our new platform features a lot of new additions. Here is the summary

Fresh new layouts

Project bookmarks. You can now bookmark your favorite projects.

Project reactions help show support and love to projects

Project preview to see project details

Feeds for developers to check the latest projects

Profile management

Delete account

Github profile snapshot on your profile to track activities across Github

Project notifications for developers with matching skillsets.

 Why the change?

During the past 2 months, while onboarding and interacting with students and freshers individually, we realized that many of them don't learn to code early which inhibits them from choosing the path of software development. While many have good exposure, they don't know where and how to find good projects matching their skills and they lack teamwork.

In the case of freshers, during their early days of job hunting as a software-developer, they don't have enough to showcase to potential employers.

 Gist of the story 💪

The gist of the story is for early job hunting, they have a minimal Linkedin profile, Github profile, and other relevant activities which the employers really want to see in a software developer's resume.

We want to bridge the gap in their job hunting process and their lack of work experience by providing them with good projects to work with to hone their skills. Also, integrating with major platforms (such as, but not limited to, Github, Stackoverflow, Quora, etc) to bring all their activities to one place.

 Why you should join?

 As a developer

Techpro.club, provides the means for freshers and students to build their careers early on as software developers. We help you discover open-source projects you want to work with and while you keep working, we bring your day-to-day activities to one place. You can showcase your portfolio and thank us later.

 As a project owner

Learn how to start a project and become a maintainer of a project. You will also learn to manage teams, delegate tasks, manage deadlines, releases, and many more. Good projects receive appreciation.

 Road ahead

We are open-source and our services to the people will always be free. The core team will keep adding new features to make the process easier and save time for you.

In the next release, we will integrate

Project searches

Platform invites

Sharing on social media

More social platform profiles

If you want to contribute to our code, we would be glad to accept your help. Here are some important links.

Web application

Project Github

Reach out on Twitter

 Conclusion

Techpro.club is helping students and freshers build a tech portfolio early on in their careers. We have already started the onboarding process. Do join our platform.

I am willing to listen to your feedback in the comments below.

 Introduction

What is common in Linux, VLC player, and MongoDB? Yes, they are all popular open-source softwares. Their source codes are open for anyone to use and make changes. It is the contributions from people which make these projects robust and their adopters make them popular.

However, managing an open-source project is a difficult task. It requires a lot of technical skills in terms of writing code, fixing issues, managing documentation, writing test cases, deployment, automation, CI/CD, and providing support. Then comes
the product promotion starting with writing blogs, managing social media, and optimizing for SEO. All these can be very draining and an individual cannot do all these alone.

That's where we come in. Techpro.club is an open-source platform for project owners to find the right team to build and manage their projects, however small or big they may be. At the same time, posting a project on our platform reaches out to a vast network of contributors, saving them a lot of effort and money in promotion.

 Why Techpro.Club?

If you are an open-source project owner, you can take advantage of our extensive network of contributors to post your project details. We will ensure that your contribution request reaches out to the best contributors, matching your project criteria. If a matching contributor finds your project interesting, he/she can directly go to your project repository and start working. Visit https://techpro.club and register yourself

 Benefits for Project owners

Find a great team to build and manage your project.

Promote your project amongst a vast network of our contributors without the hassle to promote elsewhere.

Save a lot of money.

 Benefits for contributors

Opportunity to work on amazing projects.

Enhance your skills and developer portfolio by contributing to projects.

Opportunity to earn from paid projects or get hired.

 Features roadmap

We are currently in the beta stage and currently accepting projects and contributors. Here is the list of features and our roadmap for the future.

 Built With

 Golang

 Mongodb

 Bootstrap

 JQuery

 Prerequisites

 Mongodb

Install Mongodb and set the credentials in
.env
file described here

 Github Project

Github project is needed to authenticate users. You may do so by visiting https://github.com/settings/apps. Note the Client ID and Client secret. Also, set two Callback URLs for project and contributor authentication.

Note - Create a
Github App
and not an
OAuth App
because the latter doesn't permit multiple callback URLs.

 Running and Deployment

Clone the repo

git clone https://github.com/ClubTechPro/techpro.club.git

Set Environment variables

Rename the
src/.env.sample
to
src/.env
and replace it with actual credentials obtained from the steps mentioned in Prerequisites.

Install Golang dependencies

cd /path/to/project
go mod tidy

Run the project

go run main.go

Open a browser and hit
http://localhost:8080

 Conclusion

We want to make it easy for project owners to find a contributing team and easily promote their ideas.
