I was wishing there was a unified tool for live coding, group Q&A, and even content-sharing. Then I found Codefusion (https://codefusion-f6d69.web.app)—it’s still gaining polish, but it's extremely useful. CodeMate gives AI help, DevChat lets teams code/chat together, CodeQuery crowdsources answers, and Dev Tribes gives you great group control—it's like merging a forum, chat, and AI assistant in one!

Why I Built CodeFusion: A Coding Collab Tool for Devs

Hey Dev Community 👋,

I’m a Computer Engineering graduate passionate about building tools that solve real problems. Over the past few months, I’ve been working on a project that I believe many developers—especially students and self-learners—can benefit from. It’s called CodeFusion, and it’s more than just a coding platform.

💡 The Problem
As someone who’s often collaborated on coding assignments, mentored juniors, and worked on personal projects with friends, I noticed a gap:
There was no single platform that let you ask questions, chat with other devs, get mentorship, read articles, generate resumes, stay updated on job openings, and learn—all in one place.

Sure, we use Discord, Stack Overflow, LinkedIn, GitHub, and a dozen other tools—but switching between them constantly kills productivity and focus.

🚀 The Solution: CodeFusion
So I decided to build CodeFusion, an all-in-one dev platform that brings everything together. Some of its key features include:

CodeMate – AI assistant powered by Gemini for instant coding help

CodeQuery – A space to ask and answer questions with upvotes & downvotes

*DevChat *– Real-time chat system with users and mentors (WhatsApp-style UI)

*DevGuru *– Mentorship matching and management

Resource Hub – Articles, videos, and roadmaps searchable by language/topic

Open Library – Upload and share documents, PDFs, notes, etc.

Job Board – Real-time jobs powered by LinkedIn API

Resume Gen – Instantly generate a developer-focused resume

Dev Tribes – Group creation, role management, and voice channels

Newslytics – Dev-related news with search by tech/topic

And more features like Dark Mode, Profile Editing.
