I like the writing editor on dev.to. I use it to just get some thoughts out and one shot into the Internet ether.

As I look around the site however - I can't help but notice that 99% of everything people post on here is straight out of an LLM. We see you. It's very obvious. No one talks (or even writes) like that.

Also - no one is reading your 10 page post. If you can't say it in 3 to 4 paragraphs - maybe you need to rethink your idea. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Is running your agent harness directly on your server a bad idea?

Agentic coding is the future of software development for everything except for some hobby & passion projects. Agents love python and node because there is so much training data out there. But how does a new vibe coder deploy the python or node js code? Locked in to a commercial provider with no real way to get out.

At least half of the Internet runs PHP. PHP hosting providers and mom & pop businesses support WordPress hosting setups. They are cheap, reliable and well known.

So why not build your software with your agent right where is will be running the same way we do with WordPress and other CMS?

Are all off the millions of servers configured for WordPress hosting setups all going to be configured to running Django and Node over the next 5 years?

WordPress won the Internet because it was open, well known and easy to setup and configure. Is there any reason we cant build the same thing but for Agents first?

WordPress became 40% of the Internet because it allowed anyone who could follow along a guide on a Linux terminal could install the Web Server and have the blog up and running in 5 minutes. That famous 5 minute install is what made WordPress the dominant web technology on the web.

Agents like Claude and Codex have taken over not just app and web development in the last 6-12 months - they have also taken over site creation. Anyone can jump into Claude, give it some direction and in 5 minutes get back a pretty damn good set of 2-3 static pages they can throw up on the web with any web server.

That is the agent's 5 minute install.

But what happens when you want to add a signup form? or a calendar, or a small booking system. The agent can build you any bespoke system you want - but will it be secure? Will it be extendable? Will it even be maintainable by the agent in 6 months or will it be a re-write next year?

What agentic development needs is the famous 5 minute install with an agent first CMS that has sandboxed plugins and a standard prescription for how to do the 90% of common tasks so that it will be maintainable and consistent over the next years.

Right now everyone has their own bespoke system. Framer is out there and that's awesome - but doesn't help me if i want to create an online booking system or start selling a widget.

We need an agent first 5 minute install for the new web development environment.
