How I built AutoPostMode: an AI that researches, writes and posts to X and LinkedIn

I kept losing hours every week to the same loop: find something worth posting about, write it, make an image, then remember to post at a good time. So I built AutoPostMode (https://autopostmode.com) to run that whole loop for me.

 What it does

Researches trending topics in your niche

Writes posts in your voice

Designs image cards for them

Publishes to X and LinkedIn at the best times

 The stack

Backend: Python with FastAPI. It's fast to build with, and the auto-generated docs made testing endpoints easy.

Frontend: plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript. No framework, so pages stay light and quick.

AI APIs for research and writing.

X API and LinkedIn API for publishing.

Cloudflare in front for caching and protection.

 Free tools, no signup

Before asking anyone to sign up, I wanted people to get value right away. So there's a set of free tools at https://autopostmode.com/tools:

Hook grader and hook generator

Card maker

Thread splitter

LinkedIn character counter

Best-time-to-post checker

 What I learned

Keeping the frontend boring (no framework) saved a lot of time.

Free tools are a better first touch than a signup wall.

A post only sounds like you if the AI has real examples of your writing to learn from.

 Try it

There's a 3-day free trial. X plans are $29, $59 and $99 per month, and LinkedIn starts at $49 per month.

I'd love feedback from other builders. What would you want an autopilot posting tool to never do?

I'm Amit, and I'm on X at https://x.com/decoded08
