Why I chose Cybersecurity (and why you might too)

A few months ago I was learning how to build software. Now I'm learning how to break it - ethically.

The moment everything changed

While diving into DevSecOps during my FIAE apprenticeship, something clicked. Understanding how systems work AND how they can be exploited? That's where the real challenge is.

What I'm focusing on right now:

🔐 Pentesting & CTFs
☁️ Cloud Security (Azure/Entra ID)
🌐 Web App Security
🤖 AI Security

No certs listed here because I'm just getting started. Learning by doing.

Why YOU should consider security too:

More AI-generated code = more attack surfaces

NIS2 + AI Act = companies NEED security talent

Remote-friendly field

The puzzle-solving aspect is addictive

Currently working through TryHackMe paths and documenting my progress. First CTF writeup coming soon.

What's YOUR security journey? Drop a comment - would love to hear how others got into this field.
