Hwlo there!!!! So today I will try this game called Shrek Swamp Kart Speedway which is considered very damn cursed!!

The Visual Boy Advance (VBA) emulator will help us here on our journey!!! Cuz I dont have a real game boy advance lol!

Ok So I heard that this is one of the worst games and was jus a Mario Kart with a Shrek Skin. I have personally never watched Shrek or played Mario Kart.. So lets try..

OH MY FRICKING GOD!! THATS CURSED ALREADY OH NO!!

Watching these weirdos bobbing their head is giving me anxiety.
I will just go with the gingerbread.

ITS FRICKING HARD AND AS I WAS TOLD, THE CONTROLS ARE BAD!! ITS TOO SPEED !! I have never been a good car game player so maybe to an extent its my incopetence.

You can check it out here.... I got the hang of it quick and came 2nd while I could come 1st but got stuck. It was actually hard and it took me like 5 attempts after which I started recording. The Graphics were the worst!!! And the controls the hardest!! AND THE FRICKING HEAD BOBBING I SHOWED IN THE VIDEO!! I WAS DAMN FEELING WEIRD!!!

I mean thats it for today.. I forgot to save it... There are a lot of levels I guess in this game...

My Set of Game Dev Tools

So every gamedev has his/her own set of tools that they use to make their own game. I have one too.

Its for making a game if I am all alone in a team or I have to do a particular task by myself in a team if needed.

For Art:

### 1) Piskel for Pixel art:

Piskel is my goto app for pixel art. I used to use the web version but to me the offline version works better and I can store the files locally. I can set up a preview for a single frame and also for an animation too!! Its very easy to use and actually works.

2) Krita for vector art, Thumbnails and quite everything else:

Krita is my main art editor and I find it quite easy to use. I like making quite everything else that's 2d with krita.

3) BlockBench for voxel art:

I use blockbench for making voxel art. I am not good at it tho. I use the web app for it.

Its quite nice actually.

For Music:

Bosca Ceoil:

I use Bosca Ceoil for making music for games and other stuff. Its very beginner friendly and we can easily make some nice music even for a programmer.

For Programming:

1) Vscode for Programming almost everything:

I use vscode for coding almost everything. I luv the editor and it has a lot of cool features.
I jus don't use it for stuff like Java (recently in a blog I found myself an ide called jlite) and for godot.

It has code completion, extensions, debugging support and much much more!!!

Not to forget an integrated console!!

2) Godot as Game Engine:

I use the free and open source game engine Godot for making games and all. Its a nice little game engine thats very powerful. I luv using it!!

Coder trying no-code Software/APP and Website Development solutions

Hwlo There !! Another episode of our series "Tryin em Out".

So today we will try some no-code software and website development solutions. Me being a coder, I code and develop my apps myself. So this will be fun to see the difference and the limitations and advantages too!!!

App Developent:

1 PandaSuite Studio: So I found this app called PandaSuite Studio. It seemed fun and was free. So I downloaded it and installed it. After installing and all I was to create a new app. None of the templates suited to me so yea blank app. I named it Hwlo Spammer Cuz I want to spam hwlo on the screen with it if it can allow me to. I set the res for pc apps lol!! So I was brought to a rather beautiful scene:

So I planned on adding some images
I always have weird images on the pc so I added a bg texture image. Resized it.

I added some text (adjusting which was quite finnicky) Then I saved it cuz I have a habit of damn jus ctrl+s-ing. Doing not that makes me anxious (I cant damn lose progress lol.. I need help). Ah the saving takes a while.

Uhh the preview... It does nothing till now so lets add some functionality.

Wow. A lot of options. I tried doing some stuff but had to resort to searching for a tutorial on this. Ok there were some tutorials but I am irritated now. How can people bear this much self pain on themselves other than jus learning to code. Wow. I cant f*cking understand how to actually get that interactive area change the empty text area I have. It has a frickin action to let you interact with another component with that interactive area when its damn clicked, BUT NO!! THEY WON'T LET YOU HAHA!! ALL OF THIS IS AN ILLUSION!! IT MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE ITS TOO EASY AND IT WILL BE BETTER FOR YOU TO ACTUALLY USE THIS BUT NO!!! YOU CANT DO A FRICKING THING CUZ THEY WONT LET YOU!!! I will still give it another try you know... for seeing if I used it wrong with another app.

OH WELL NO!! FEED YOUR MONEY TO OUR NON-EXISTENT FAT PANDA SO THAT YOU CAN WASTE YOUR TIME EVEN FURTHER? NO WAY SIR NO WAY!! INTO THE OBLIVION YOU GO. I angrily uninstalled it.

Oh yea I have signed up to a lot of sketchy and normal alike sites today.. and My eyes are messed up because of the never ending light mode of these sites and hashnode's dark mode and I cant see some part and rainbow style stuff is there.... So please like this and share.....

Web Development: Carrd: I found this site called Carrd that will help us to make a nice landing page for ourselves. I found myself a good template and here we are:

Finding and trying out hidden gems in Source forge

So Hwlo there!!! I am Cybear Tron and this is the first post in our series- "Tryin em out!!" Here we try different and sometimes weird things (mostly related to tech like os, programming languages, software, game engines, sites etc.).
In this article we will go through a plethora of hidden gems in sourceforge and maybe find something that we can use in our daily life :D Lets continue:

What is SourceForge? So you may ask what the hell is this Source Forge you are talking about? So SourceForge is :

SourceForge is a web service that offers software consumers a centralized online location to control and manage open-source software projects and research business software.

So totally, Source forge is a place where developers upload and manage their open source software and also provide a free place to find people who will download your app. I myself use Sourceforge for hosting my little software (which is actually awful). It has got some downloads already (a wonder cuz its actually very bad).

Criteria on which I will find and consider stuff as gems:
The downloads this week is less than hundred, it won't matter to me how much downloads they have in total
I will not show any app that I can't actually use (Like A js or c++ library thingie)
I will not show any app that I need to compile. Like hey use an https server and install php and run it then.. I won't do it
I will actually show which apps caught my eye... I am sorry but there are thousands of stuff in the place I can't go over and see everything
I will show those whom I will actually USE
P.S. Please don't call me things for deciding whether things are gems or not in the comments.. I will show those which I personally find a gems and that I could actually run and things... Please I am a new blogger and English is not my native language, so please don't roast me... I will state the upsides and the downsides of the apps too!! I will also only choose 3 apps today!!

So I first went into the open source section of the site and now the adventure begins yay!!!

1ST APP: SLEEK:-
So I found this little app called Sleek. Its a todo app. I downloaded it... I didn't have much expectations from it....

WHEN I RAN IT!! I HAD TO EAT MY WORDS!!!!

The beautiful UI it presented me with!! I fell in love with it at first glance!! It had a dark mode too!

I Thought of writing a Hwlo World algorithm in it.

The sheer beauty and simplicity!! Ok So this has received a new daily user now!! I will use this for writing algorithms for my tasks now!!! It really was sleek btw!!

Upsides:
It was damn beautiful
User Friendly UI
Actually easy to use and not hard to work with
Dark Mode POG!!
The Main downside was that I couldn't figure out how to make a new todo.. Thats what I didnt exactly like about it...

2ND APP: CyberFox Web browser:-
This was a web browser as you people had

Ok during the installer it asked me to import stuff like bookmarks from other browsers... But it only had the options of Chrome and Microsoft Internet explorer. I use Edge, So that was something the devs should pay attention to. Ok after the install 4 damn tabs were opened.

2 of which didn't actually load and showed an error:

I mean it couldn't connect to its own site's server, that's sad... So I quickly closed the error-ed tabs and started seeing the loaded ones.

The 1st one was one that allowed me to set preferences up, That seemed nice.

Allowing me to Set a menu style, Theme Style and a home style and then syncing....

After setting them up I am at a start menu that now looks like :

I mean lets search some weird stuff right?

Oh yea I am there!! So whenever I use a web browser I need bitwarden!! Its my password manager actually!!!

Lemme try installing it.

I was finding it but then found a dark mode, POG! Ah I couldnt find a way to install Bitwarden... Sad... I may use this for testing and all... Still nice actually!

Upsides:
Its actually a less ram hungry alternate to firefox and chrome
Its free and a little nice actually
It will serve well as an alternate browser for different things and actually testing some things like SEO and Looks of web builds
Downsides:
I couldn't install any extensions actually though it said I could
The UI was actually weird
I couldn't do most of the config I actually can in a browser like Changing the search engine, The default zoom height etc.
My review for it has ended we will move to the next app...

3RD APP: JLITE:-
This is a lightweight java ide that I found.. Those who don't know what an IDE is:

Its an Integrated Development Environment. In layman's terms it is a level up from code editors (Like Vscode and notepad++) and 2 levels up from text editors(Like Notepad) with autocomplete, full debugging support and all those juicy features a dev needs for large projects.. Example: Eclipse, Visual Studio etc.

So When I ran this JLite I had to first set up java sdk and then I was at this page:

Now I guess I gotta create a new project

Noice worked!!

Hmmm What about a normal gui with swing?

It works but the downside here is the lack of Keyboard shortcuts to get around easily... I am gonna use this as my main Java IDE from now btw (I use vscode for this and its not good for Java actually so yeah...)

Upsides:
It was easy to use
It looked nice
Easy setup
I enjoyed writing code in it
Downsides:
No Dark Mode (Sad Cybear Tron noises)
No actually too useful keybinds and no options to set some up

Update from old Java version to OpenJDK 16 windows

Hwlo There!!!! So do you want to update your JAVA/JDK version for whatsoever reason? This is the right place!!!!

So I will teach you how to Do that now! We will use OpenJDK for this (cuz its free and open source)

1) We need to mess with the system environment variables! To do that follow the link : This one

2) Remove the java path from PATH variable for both user and system. If there is a JAVA_HOME var then remove the value.

3)Download Open JDK 16 from This site

4)Extract the zip at any place

5)Go to the bin folder. It will be something like this (the_path_before)/openjdk-16.0.1_windows-x64_bin\jdk-16.0.1\bin

6)Copy the path and then go to your system variables

7)Add the path to the PATH variables in both places (user and system) and to the JAVA_HOME variable. If you dont have it there, create one and add the same path value to it!!

8)Click ok and close the tab.

9)In cmd or other terminal type the following command

java -version

Then if you get the below given result then congrats you jus installed java 16

openjdk version "16.0.1" 2021-04-20
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 16.0.1+9-24)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 16.0.1+9-24, mixed mode, sharing)

How to read Member-only Medium Stories for free without being a member?

So You are here to know how can you damn read member-only medium stories for free without being a member??
If ur like me i.e. a minor who is not allowed to spend money online or ur broke or dont wanna pay medium... This is for u!!!!!

Lets start!!!!
STEP 1: First find yourself a medium story you want to read. For this tutorial, I will use Manpreet Singh's post https://preettheman.medium.com/best-python-projects-to-finish-in-a-weekend-a032e5c11c1
STEP 2: Now that you have a story, now go to your browser. NOTE: TESTED ON CHROME AND EDGE. I WISH THIS WORKS ON OTHERS TOO Press ctrl+shift+n or cmd+shift+n in mac for opening incognito or inprivate mode (Or jus use the way to open the alternative on your browser of incognito mode).
STEP 3: Now u are in the incognito-esque mode, now paste the link of the medium article. Now ur good to go.

If Your Wifi Doesn't Show up in Windows Do this

You have A wifi and in ur windows pc its name is not showing up do this:

1.Go to Regedit(Windows Registry Editor)
The Registry Editor allows you to view and make changes to system files and programs that you wouldn't be able to access otherwise.

Go to : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class

3.Then find "CountryRegion" without quotes.

4.Set the value to 1

5.Reboot.

Then see.
