Understanding Documentation: A Critical Skill.

I remember when I had to integrate an AI into the application I was building, and the deadline was approaching. I was too lazy to go through the whole documentation, and it wasn't very user-friendly, which eventually cost me about two days out of the tight time I had left. So, I had to sit down, read it properly, and test it with their playground to fully understand what they were trying to convey. Then I implemented it, and it was all done without much stress. I really understood what I was doing throughout the process. I don't think I'd want to make such mistakes again.

I decided to participate in the ongoing HNG internship to improve my ability to collaborate effectively with team members. My goal is to better understand their coding intentions and project goals with ease, reducing miscommunications and enhancing productivity. This experience will help me avoid the mistakes I've made in the past and develop a more efficient approach to teamwork and problem-solving.

When I heard of HNG internship, I was happy because I've been waiting for such an opportunity for a very long time now and thanks to Almighty, it's been a week now and the experience gained so far is something to be made known.

Meeting different people that I have learnt one or two things from and also the mentor are always there to guide and spare time for you with whatever you may need.

Most importantly, this internship has not only focused on making us better developers but also be able to keep to time and adhere to insturctions or rules given . So to say,it also adds to your character.

Currently we're onto forming teams and working onprojects and I hope I'd join a team soon. Thanks HNG!!!

About me

I am Ismail Hudhayfah, a student of physiology University of Ibadan Nigeria. I am also a full stack web developer.
About HNG Internship

As mentioned on their official website,

The HNG internship is a 3-month remote internship designed to find and develop the most talented software developers.Everyone is welcome to participate (there is no entrance exam). Anyone can log into the internship using their laptop. Each week, we give tasks. Those who complete them advance forward. We pay the interns weekly.The intern coders are introduced to complex programming frameworks, and get to work on real world software. The finalists are connected to the best companies in the tech ecosystem and get full time jobs and contracts immediately.

Goals

This internship will be a great opportunity for me to have real-world experience and put what I’ve learned into practice. And in order to accomplish that, I created a list of what I look forward to achieving at the end of this internship. It goes thus:

Connecting with other developers and designers.
Improve my coding skills and adopting best practices
Putting what I've learnt into practice
Build my resume
Improve my communication and problem solving skills
