Paralised

Debugging Xcode! Hell over earth and a main threat to progress (with interesting discoveries in the end).

It took a week to return and write after three days head breaking attempts to eliminate all xcode bugs.

Went down from 9000 errors to only 26, but it seems that we have basic fail that is out of reach.

For some reason the program is writing in c99 - I was happy to find out that is a twenty years old code language that apparently makes a lot of problems.

I already updated my iOS version to the max, which did not helped a lot.

Erased many unexpected and mostly unusual appearances of the word “Void”.

Auf Wiedersehen! (today’s goodbye is in German… you can guess why…)

Tutorials!

Finding someone that will guide me through the dark. Tutorial searches!

Everyone offers you to be able to build your first AR app in minutes.

I watch several tutorials and realize that 99% are not what I am looking for (use a SDK I don't want to use, only work on Android, poor sound quality, etc.)

I found a suitable tutorial and followed it through.

I export the project from Unity to Xcode and get empty folders.

The day is gone as I stare at empty folders.

I searched the net for an answer, and found Stack overflow.
One of the answers is actually helping me, and I succeed in building the project to Xcode.

Namaste!
(chose the Napalese word for goodbye, as I felt peacefully progressing)

A very gentle humongous crash.
The first hour of me as an AR iOS app developer.

1/ Learn how to right click the pad mouse on Mac.
2/ Learn how to open a terminal to install cocoapods.
3/ Dance around the room with the computer overhead after installing: XCode >= 11, Cocoapods >= 1.9.1 (can be installed via brew), Unity3D >= 2019.3.14f1.

Yasou!
(chose the Greek word for goodbye, as I felt quite bacchanalian)

Slightly concerned

I invite you to Kindly watch the birth of an AR iOS app developer (you may close your eyes if this is too graphic):

I never worked on a Mac before.

I am the (not) proud owner of an iPhone 6s, used to be my mother’s mobile. The machine is packed with gigas of photos and videos that he has no relation to.

I am is determined.

I will be optimistic.

Vale!

(chose the latin word for goodbye, as I am not sure I will survive to come back at it, and also sounds fatalistic enough).
