How to Support a Creator

First of all, hello!

If you are reading this so you are interested in helping your favorite creator. It has multiple ways to do it and I will tell them the ones that I know.

 1st - Support with money

It's the most seen way to support someone or something. Normally people need to have money to pay their taxes and bills and to have that they need to work. When working in a normal job they have less time to do that service or product (that content that you love it's sometimes just a hobby to them). A donation is always welcome.

2nd - Reacting to their posts

Giving likes, following, and saving the posts that they make it's really helpful too. They can see that their content is being seen by someone (you) and it helps to give them motivation.

 3rd - Comment their content

It's really good for the creators to have someone who comments and talks about their content. It means that someone is more interested in their stuff and just not give a random-like. It is a great opportunity to give feedback (the creator appreciates it) and talk with them.

 4th - Share their content

You maybe don't have money to support them but you can always share their content with your family or friends. A strong audience (not necessarily big) is very helpful giving again motivation to the creators.

 Lasts Notes

So, these are some ways to help your creator. These look simple but are really good to give support, feedback, and motivation to them.

Social Media:
How to not Demotivate (2)

 So

This post will start by saying that is fine to be a beginner, everyone who is now an expert and professional with a lot of experience in the area already was. Being a beginner is the first step to learn something new.

 In the beginning

The idea that beginners had on their head is to do great things and that is fine... but don't forget that you are just a beginner. Let's start slowly, take some notes, and practice. It is recommended to get some free samples from the store to study and get some experience, there is a lot of free content available for everyone. *If you a beginner, don't start expending a lot. *

 Meanwhile

The beginner can get finally some results (that's great!) and can share them with the other users. Working on the same area where the beginner is learning, those users can give feedback to improve and help to be better!

But, there is a lot of people waiting to get you down (they cannot see someone getting results and success). Don't let them put you down, you are a beginner remember? So, what you learned and what you did is already a big great achievement!!

 At the end

You can learn a lot of things but don't forget that there is a huge world (and concepts and techniques and so on) waiting to be discovered. It's always good to share knowledge and to learn from other's experiences.

 Last Comments

All developers struggle from time to time.
Keep going! And you will get results!

Everyone will not be friendly. Sometimes when you are finally getting results, someone just can say that you did nothing because the asset was available on the Marketplace or on the store... But you know all the time that you spent struggling to put the things working!

Finalizing your project!
If you are loving what you do...
if you are learning...
You will be able to reach the final of your project!

Keep going!

Memories #06

 One more...

This is maybe the last one of the series "Memories".
A simple game named "Asteroids_Clone", developed in 2019 as a Personal Project too...

 But

This one is a challenge that I accepted about to do a fully simple game with C++ using Unreal Engine in one week.
It was a funny experience to accept this challenge and maybe I will repeat others like this one, later.

 Objective

The objective is to destroy the asteroids, and you will get points, without being hit by them. If you take a lot of hits, the game will end.

Do you want to check out?

If you want to check out the video and the code about the project here on the link below:

 Are you finish?

Not not yet.
One more old project, I named it "Tales Of Shadows".
This one is done with C++ and Blueprints using Unreal Engine developed in 2019 as a Personal Project.
Experience a new game engine and trying to make something more complex.

"GameTrailer"

This time I will not put the code on Github, or I will? I think it's not needed but if people ask maybe I can put it.

I will just make some advertising (to be honest is what it looks like) of this game.
I was putting here some old memories and old projects and this one is also one of them so here is he.
Don't worry, there is just left one memory to be posted tomorrow!

Do you want to check out?

If you want to check out the video about the project here on the link below:

 Again?

One more old project, I named it as EscapeLab.
This one is done with C# using Unity Engine developed in 2017 as a Personal Project too. Trying for the first time touch with game engines.

Short answer: Because I can.
Long answer: It can be useful for someone looking for similar content. Never know if someone is struggling with some academic or personal project and my little knowledge helps. So, why not?

How hard is it to be an indie?

 Where to start?

Normally people really like to do something like make and edit videos, play and stream, write and draw, create and etc.
If you are one of these, congratulations! You deserve all the support in your stuff!. And if you aren't so maybe this article it's not for you.

 How hard is it?

We can split this ''hard'' part into two meanings:

 The Hardest Part Number 1

The ''Hardest'' will be how much difficulty you do your content. ** If you are really good in to do what you like so well done!! If you take more time or if you have always a lot of problems to struggle with, don't worry... Just keep it doing and you will be better and faster, also, you are able to find better ways to do your stuff..** yes, your stuff!

The last comment here is: Keep Going!

 The Hardest Part Number 2

Here the ''Hardest'' part will be having the resources and support like software licenses, hardware, audience, and followers. Because for sure it will come the time that you are doing your stuff and getting better and you think that nobody cares because of 1001 reasons.

Stop it! Don't worry about that, breathe, and keep going!
You can do your amazing stuff and think that nobody cares but that is not true. The people who care did not discover you yet.

Keep working and for sure someday someone really cool will notice your incredible content!

 Before go

This post is long and I don't have sure that you read it all so.. very quickly:

If you like what you do, keep doing it!
Thank you for your time! ☺

 Social Media

Youtube
How to not demotivate

 How?

When doing something, developing new software, algorithm, game, or something else that you do, and start thinking about if it worse what can I do?

I don't know the answer to that question but you can follow these steps that can help you with that.

Disconnect from that problem temporarily (Taking some fresh air, making some exercise, reading a book or an article better than this one, etc. )

Look back for everything that you have already done and achieved (that can help you gaining motivation to keep going)

Save the work and start again from scratch, on the paper, to check out if everything is working as expected or if you find some tiny bug under your nose.

Talking about the problem to someone, or alone, also can help because you are listening to what are you saying the thinking if that makes sense or if it can be done in some better way.

These are a few steps that can help.
In the future, I will write a more deep post about this theme.

Don't forget, stay positive!

It started, don't let it stop

Also,
This project is one of the first game-projects done by me and developed for academic purposes in 2017.
Always making new stuff to learn and always upgrading our techniques and growing as a developer.

When organizing the old projects one thought came to my mind... Why do not put them on Github to share with everyone? So what's time to put my hands-on work, create a repository, a video, and upload all the files.

 The Beginning... is it?

This project must be the first game-project done by me and developed for academic purposes in 2017.

 Curiosity

I think that everyone knows what is Github but if you don't basically Github is a place where people share projects and code (the named open-source).

 You want to check out?

If you want to check out the video or the code about the project here on the links below:
Youtube: [https://youtu.be/iodkJTezckY]

PS: The link for the code it's available on the descriptions.
I could put it here but I am just testing some people.

First Steps #01

 About me

Hello 👋 I am David Ricardo. I am a Master's Student and a Game Developer Hobbyist.

I really like to create and do stuff but this time was different. Because one of the best parts when creating something is to show it to someone and that last part was missing me...

I don't talk too much but I will talk the way that I know.
I don't know the best way to teach or show something but I will do my best in my own way.

 Time to clean the Dust

I will start by showing some old projects because they can be useful for someone (we never know).

Sharing our knowledge with each one it's a good way to learn, improve, and grow as a developer, programmer, and everything else! ✌️

Good luck with all your projects and keep going!

I let this part for last because I don't like that much to ask for people to follow me, but if you want to take a look at my work and what I am/was doing you can found it on my social media
