I was using MacBook pro 16" 2020 model previously and it is a machine for developers.Anyways i needed a laptop for my day to day job which is coding and listening to some coccolino deep songs and i chose MacBook 13 inch M1 2020 model to be the lucky one.

All in all if i compare with MacBook PRO i7 model it is a beast machine and just never lets me down in performance spectrum.

Although i do have some pros and cons for you guys...

 PROS

Battery performance

8 Core ARM architecture

Big Small processor design used in M1

Rest is same old same old

 CONS

Software support

Miss you docker

Had to install brew in two separate locations

For all the developer wait for full software support but if you want to come join us M1 owners on the brighter side of rainbow please don't think twice TAKE THE LEAP

My Macbook

Yeah this is another one where you see people praising the gem of the tech world. Let me start from the beginning which is when I was a child I did not had internet at my home but had a computer.

So once I did pretty good in my school so my brother told me that you can either have internet or a new laptop and I chose internet and since that day onward I was hooked onto my computer like a drug addict to addiction.

I didn't know much about programming but it sure did sound something I could learn and understand pretty easily. It was not as tough as physics where you had combine math and imagination to find a pattern. Here I could build my own patterns and I did not need to assume something I just had to declare some variables and let them to do rest by talking some wierd one's and zero's to each, yeah I know that's all they know.

Anyways coming back to macbook, I used windows computers in my early days which are still early I suppose. I was a big fan of windows 7. It was something. Then I got an introduction to something amazing which was Linux and specifically ubuntu 9.04. windows did have a command prompt but it was not as cool as the terminal. The only thing I wanted from my computer was to be perfect. This is where mac comes into place. Introducing apple macbook, yup I am one of the few who was lucky enough to watch Steve jobs on stage live. Linux is great but the beauty with which Apple computer software interacts with its hardware is just mind blowing. I know there are some manufacturers out there which provide the same experience for linux computers also and most of the websites u and I use in our daily life are running on Linux servers.

I got my first macbook at my 3rd tech job as a front-end developer and boy I always creamed of that moment when I would get my mac and it was finally the time to experience my dream in reality. After I got that macbook I am on a different galaxy. I still love Linux and open source community.

The ease with which macbook does things is just pure beauty and slowly my macbook turn me into the golum of lord of the rings where I was standing on desk with my macboooook in my hand JK "just kidding" not yet. I know a bit dramatic but I thought u should know the whole story of

 My Macbook

Mechanical to JAVASCRIPT

Hi, my journey started when i was a kid and my father bought a computer for the family. I was the youngest one so in the beginning i was the one most regulated in getting my hands on the precious machinery. I am talking about about time when in India we use to go to cyber cafe's and gave Rs 10/hour to access the internet. Time when Microsoft released Windows 7 and
i was the first one in my family to install an OS from a bootable USB.

My first system config, oh you never forget the first one right.

AMD Athlon 2.4Ghz
128 MB Ram
32 GB HDD

Man i tried everything to run the machine faster , tried to get everything from the machine. That was beginning of the end ,time passed by and my love for computers grew with it. I passed my school , got in to an engineering college and choose mechanical engineering as a profession. I didn't mind the lengthy syllabus and complex mechanics behind everything. I actually like engines. Mechanics was my second love.

I completed my graduation , got a nice job as a mechanical engineer. But between all this something happened , suddenly i was drawn to the my childhood love. My computers which i so dearly adored, but didn't knew nothing about programming other than some C++ that i learned in hight school and was actually very good at. In fact i was the mechanical engineering student teaching C++ in first year to my colleagues in college.

I finally decided to switch my career to become a software developer. I started learning CSS, HTML and Javascript. I had managed to get a job at an outsourcing company which did not actually required any programming skills, but i was working on computer 8 hours a day and that made my day.

I learned most of the theory and started applying for jobs and finally bagged an internship at a firm.

My 1st day :

Boss : Hey do you know have an account at github.

Newb : Yup.

Boss : Ok , slack me your id and fork this repo and start understanding
the code.

 Then shits started to roll.

I was introduced to some awesome stuff. I started contributing to their code which was written in javascript-(basically in React).

Yeah yeah i know i learned framework , before the language.

I agree , i made a mistake and wanted to rectify it. So each day in office i was grinding my self learning programming , go to know about local storage first. Didn't know something like that existed and then to the amazing world MDN which taught me mostly everything. MDN was my go to place to read about the anything i can lay my hands.

Day in day out i was learning code and i am still learning. I have a long way to go and I actually love my job. I can say that do you know

BECAUSE I AM INTO COMPUTERS AND I LOVE IT.
