"Crown Tag: The Free Multiplayer Game You Can Play Right NOW !"

Crown Tag is a free multiplayer browser game where anyone, on any device, can jump in and chase the crown — whoever's holding it gets tagged, and the crown changes hands, all set to a 2D map with power-ups and sound effects.

It's a highly intense, fast-paced, high-pressure game that brings out the competitive side in you. Fair warning: friendships have survived worse, but not by much.

I built it mostly for fun — and if it takes off, I take off with it. A guy can dream.

There are a few game modes to choose from: Classic Crown Tag, where you chase and tag whoever holds the crown; Freeze Tag, where tagged players freeze until a teammate unfreezes them; King of the Hill, where you hold a zone instead of a crown; Hot Potato, where the crown has to keep changing hands before time runs out (basically the game mode equivalent of "no backsies"); and VS AI Bots, a practice mode against bots — though fair warning, they're better at this than you'd expect from something that isn't real.

My favorite parts are the celebration screen after winning (confetti hits different when you actually earned it) and the live player count, mostly because watching that number tick up never gets old.

"Beyond the Blog: I Make YouTube Videos Too"

If you found this because you searched my name, you probably already know me from the last post — football, game dev, Jujutsu Kaisen, that whole mix. But writing isn't the only thing I put out into the world. I also make videos, across a few different channels, each one a completely different side of whatever's going on in my head that week.
Here's the actual breakdown.

Anonymous Bro
This is probably the channel with the clearest identity so far. It's a mix of drawings, memes, and news — some of it Singapore-focused — built around the idea that content doesn't need to take itself seriously to be worth watching. The tagline I run with is basically "life's too short for boring videos," and that's genuinely the filter everything goes through before it gets posted. If it's not fun to watch, it doesn't go up.
It's the channel that's closest to a scrapbook of whatever I find interesting or funny in a given week — drawing something cool, reacting to something in the news, or just posting a meme that made me laugh too hard to keep to myself.

Tuff_Gamer67
This one's newer, and honestly, still mostly empty right now — no content up yet. But the name's claimed and the intent is there: a gaming channel, eventually with actual uploads once I settle on what format makes sense. I'd rather be upfront about where it's at than pretend it's further along than it is. Consider this the "watch this space" entry.

MR. Mysterio
This is the comedy side — skits, basically. Less about any single topic and more about finding a bit that's funny and just running with it. If Anonymous Bro is "here's something interesting AND funny ," MR. Mysterio is "here's something ridiculous," which is a different muscle entirely, and honestly the one that's the most fun to make.
Why split it up at all

I could have crammed all of this onto one channel, but each of these ideas wants a different audience and mashing them together would have made all of them worse. Someone who wants memes and news doesn't necessarily want to sit through a skit, and someone who came for comedy doesn't need Singapore news mixed in. Splitting it up means each channel can actually be good at the one thing it's trying to do.
Same instinct as the last post, really — I like building systems, and a set of channels with clear identities is just another version of that. Writing, building games, and now this. Different formats, same person behind all of them.

Football, Code, and JJK Vibe : A Few of My Favourite Things

I never planned for football, game development, and Jujutsu Kaisen to have anything to do with each other. They live in completely different parts of my week. But lately I've noticed they all scratch the same itch, just in different clothes.

The pitch

There's something about football that a screen can never fully replace. You can watch a hundred matches, study formations, memorise stats — and none of it prepares you for the split-second decision of actually being on the ball with three players closing in. It's chaotic and physical and immediate in a way that nothing else in my week is. I think that's exactly why I love it. It's the one hour where I'm not staring at a monitor, not debugging anything, just reacting.

But even football has systems underneath the chaos. Formations, pressing triggers, set pieces — someone designed all of that. Somebody sat down and thought "what happens if we overload the left flank" the same way I sit down and think "what happens if I let two players stand on the crown at once." Football is a game with rules someone wrote, being played by people who are trying to break those rules in their favour. That's basically what I do at my desk, minus the running.

 The desk

Game development is the opposite of football in almost every way — slow, deliberate, mostly silent except for the occasional frustrated sigh when Firebase decides two clients are both the host at the same time. But it has its own version of that split-second decision-making. You're constantly asking "what happens if," except instead of a defender closing you down, it's an edge case: what happens if a player disconnects mid-match, what happens if the zone shrinks onto someone standing still, what happens if a bot needs to defend a hill it doesn't know exists yet.

What I like about building something like Crown Tag isn't the code itself, honestly — it's watching a rule you invented start to behave like a real system. You write "the crown holder gets a speed bonus for a streak," and suddenly there's a meta-game you didn't explicitly design, players chasing streaks, other players hunting the streak-holder. It's the same feeling as watching a football tactic you didn't expect emerge from eleven players just trying to win.

 The cursed energy

And then there's Jujutsu Kaisen, which has no business fitting into either of those, except that it's built almost entirely out of rule systems too. Domain expansions aren't just cool anime fights — they're two people effectively negotiating the terms of a battle, each trying to force the fight into a ruleset that favours them. Sorcerers spend as much time thinking about how their technique works, what it costs, what its limits are, as they do actually fighting. It's less "punch harder" and more "who understood the rules of this encounter first." That's a game designer's fight scene, whether Gege Akutami meant it that way or not.

 Where they meet

If there's a thread running through all three, it's probably this: I like things that look chaotic on the surface but are actually systems underneath, and I like being the one who either plays those systems well or gets to build them. Football gives me the physical, reactive version. Game dev gives me the slow, architectural version, where I get to be the one setting the rules instead of just playing inside them. And JJK is just fun to watch precisely because its characters are constantly doing both — living inside a system and trying to out-design their opponent within it.

I didn't expect writing this out to make the connection obvious, but there it is. Different scales, same instinct.
