Why did you start studying technology?

I'm creating this discussion to share your stories about why you chose technology.

I've been a software developer for 7 years, but my story with technology started when I was 13 years old, back in elementary school.

At that time, I worked printing shirts with a screen-printing carousel machine.

My family didn't finish elementary school, and they didn't really see studying as something important in life.

And I was following the same path.

But one day, the Federal School of Technology in my city held an event at my elementary school. They were giving a Scratch workshop.

The guy teaching the workshop said something to me:

"You are very good at logic. Why don't you try to get into the Federal School?"

That simple sentence changed something in my mind.

I didn't see a bright future for myself. I thought I was stuck in the job I had and that this was going to be my life.

But that simple sentence set me free.

I studied for the entrance exam, but I didn't pass the first time.

Then, on the second call, I got in as the last person on the list. XDXD
