Building AI in India: My Journey with GodEngine.ai and AskShiva.ai

Building something is never a straight line. It is a series of pivots, late nights, and a lot of trial and error. I decided to write this because I wanted a place to document the reality of what it takes to build AI companies outside of the traditional Silicon Valley bubble.

Right now, I am focused on building the future of AI from India. My work is centered around GodEngine.ai and AskShiva.ai. We aren’t just playing with models; we are trying to solve real problems by building products that actually hold value for people.

The Beginning: Content365 and the Path to AI

My journey into this space didn't start with a grand vision of a global AI empire. It started with the practical need to build things that work. My first real push was through Content365.

When you build a product, you learn quickly what people actually need versus what sounds "cool" in a pitch deck. Content365 was my way of understanding the intersection of content and automation. From there, the focus naturally shifted toward the underlying engines that drive these interactions.

Building GodEngine.ai is about creating the infrastructure—the "engine"—that makes intelligence useful. AskShiva.ai is where that intelligence meets the end user. It is about making AI accessible, intuitive, and genuinely helpful in a way that feels natural.

 Building from India, Thinking Globally

There is a unique energy in the Indian ecosystem right now. We have the talent, we have the scale, and we are no longer just a service hub. We are becoming a product hub.

I am building here, but I am looking outward. The code I write in an office in India needs to work just as well in San Francisco, London, or Tokyo. This brings a specific kind of pressure. You can't rely on a local market alone; your tech has to be world-class from day one.

Doing this involves:

Embracing the struggle: Things will break. Models will hallucinate. Code will fail.

Focusing on utility: If an AI tool doesn't save time or solve a pain point, it's just noise.

Staying lean: Building efficiently is the only way to survive the current AI arms race.

 What to Expect Here

I am not here to post hype. You won't see me posting about sudden valuations or empty promises. Instead, I want to share the raw mechanics of being a founder in the AI space.

I will talk about:

The technical hurdles of building AI-native products.

The mental shift required to go from an idea to a functioning tool.

The reality of managing the lifecycle of multiple ventures.

The lessons I've learned from the things that didn't work.

I want this to be a space for developers, builders, and fellow founders. If you are curious about how we are approaching AI in India, or if you just want to see the honest reality of shipping code, I hope you stick around.

I am just one person trying to build something meaningful. It’s a long road ahead, and I plan to document as much of it as I can.

If you have questions about how we are approaching product development at GodEngine or AskShiva, let's talk in the comments.
