🚨 Why Most AI Strategies Fail Before Audit Day — And the Six Roles That Can Save You 🚨
“Not long ago, I sat in a boardroom where an AI project almost collapsed — not because the algorithms failed, but because roles weren’t clear. The data team pointed fingers at developers. Developers blamed compliance. Compliance flagged governance gaps. The result? Weeks lost, trust shaken, and executives questioning the entire AI strategy.

That moment revealed a truth: AI success isn’t just about cutting-edge models. It’s about mastering six critical roles that keep your enterprise audit-ready, compliant, and innovative.

And in 2025, these roles are evolving — supercharged by Agentic AI and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) — to meet the demands of ISO/IEC 42001 (AI Management System — AIMS) certification and deliver real business impact.

The Six Essential AI Roles in the Agentic Era

AI Producer
Designs datasets, models, and algorithms.
💡 Example: Google DeepMind’s agentic AI that self-optimizes models for logistics and healthcare forecasting.

AI Developer / Deployer
Builds and launches AI applications, embedding RAG for real-time, context-rich outputs.
💡 Example: Enterprises deploying RAG-enabled chatbots that pull live documents to resolve support queries.

AI Observer / Evaluator / Tester
Monitors fairness, accuracy, and audit readiness — now with agentic models that self-explain.
💡 Example: Banks using RAG-powered systems for automated compliance audits with traceable explanations.

AI Provider
Supplies APIs, platforms, and agentic SaaS solutions.
💡 Example: OpenAI’s agentic APIs and Google Cloud’s orchestration tools enabling autonomous workflows.

AI Operator
Runs daily business operations using RAG and autonomous systems.
💡 Example: Tesla’s live autonomous driving systems; IT teams using agentic RAG helpdesks for instant resolutions.

AI User
Benefits directly from AI tools in everyday workflows.
💡 Example: Retail teams using Alexa for inventory and agentic assistants to auto-summarize insights.

🚦 Why Agentic AI & RAG Are Game-Changers for AIMS (ISO/IEC 42001)
✅ Agentic AI → Beyond passive tools: agents plan, initiate, and execute tasks autonomously.
✅ RAG → Combines generative AI with live data retrieval for accurate, compliant, and transparent outcomes.
✅ ISO/IEC 42001 (AIMS) → Demands new governance, risk, and documentation frameworks — turning compliance into a competitive advantage.

💼 How I Help Enterprises Stay Ahead
As an Approved AI Expert for AIMS (ISO/IEC 42001), I:
🔹 Map services to lifecycle & agentic roles for ISO/IEC 42001 (AIMS)
🔹 Build ethical, risk-aware frameworks for autonomous agents & RAG
🔹 Prepare audit docs & processes for next-gen AI compliance
🔹 Deliver seamless, trusted AI adoption that balances innovation and accountability

🏆 Ready to Certify and Innovate?
If you’d like my exclusive “AI Roles & Audit Cheat Sheet” with practical mappings and ISO/IEC 42001 (AIMS) checklists, drop a comment below or DM me directly — I’ll be happy to share it with you.

🤖 What Is Generative AI?

Generative AI is a branch of AI that creates new content— from scratch — by learning patterns in data.

Unlike traditional AI that just analyzes and classifies, Generative AI generates:

✍️ Text

🎨 Images

🎵 Music

👗 Designs

🧪 Code

🧒 A Simple Analogy

Think of a child who looks at 1,000 paintings.

One day, they draw their own — inspired by what they’ve seen.

Generative AI works the same way. It learns patterns from huge datasets, then creates original outputs that look like they were made by a human.

🔍 Real-World Examples of Generative AI

Tool / Platform

What It Creates

ChatGPT

Conversations, content, summaries

DALL·E / Midjourney

Digital art from text prompts

Soundraw / AIVA

Original music tracks

GitHub Copilot

Code suggestions, code snippets

Runway / Sora AI

AI-generated videos

🌍 Why It Matters

Generative AI is changing the creative landscape:

Writers are brainstorming faster

Designers prototype instantly

Educators create lesson plans on the fly

Developers scaffold apps from just prompts

It’s not just a trend — it’s a shift in how we create

Generative AI is a creative partner— not just a tool.

It doesn’t replace human imagination.

It amplifies it.

🧠 Intro:
Hey Devs 👋

I’m launching a weekly series called #DMSWrites, where I simplify complex tech concepts — AI, Data Science, Automation, and more — into real-world examples that anyone (tech or non-tech) can understand.

Whether you’re just starting in tech or a seasoned dev, sometimes we all need to step back and explain things the way our non-tech friends would get it. That’s the goal of this series.

🚀 Let’s Begin: What’s the Difference Between Smart, Automated, and AI?
You’ve probably heard people use these words interchangeably, but they aren’t the same.

Let me explain with something simple — home lighting 💡

💡 Real-Life Examples Comparison:
Term Explanation Example
✅ Smart You control the device manually with a digital tool You turn your light on/off using your mobile app
🔁 Automate The system follows preset rules Your porch light turns on automatically at 6 PM daily
🤖 AI The system learns your behavior and makes decisions Your light turns on before you arrive home because the system knows your routine

🔍 TL;DR:
Smart → You control it.

Automate → It follows rules.

AI → It learns and adapts.

🎯 Why This Matters
As developers and builders, it's important to communicate tech in ways that users (and stakeholders) understand.
This breakdown isn’t just for end-users — it helps us design better products and explain our ideas clearly.

📅 What's Next?
I'll be posting every Tuesday at 8:30 PM IST with:

Simplified AI & ML Concepts

Practical Use Cases

Developer-friendly analogies

Inclusive Tech Ideas for Social Good

Follow #DMSWrites on Dev.to and LinkedIn — and feel free to drop your feedback or suggestions!

🙌 Let’s Connect!
If you liked this breakdown, share it with someone who finds tech confusing.
Got an idea you want me to simplify next? Comment below!

Tech doesn't have to be intimidating. Let's break it down — one Tuesday at a time.

🧠 101 GenAI Use Cases Are Real – But Can You Build Them?
🔍 Why this article?
Over the last year, Generative AI has gone from experimental to essential. Whether you're an engineer, architect, educator, or student, you’re likely seeing GenAI in action — in chatbots, auto-summarizers, content creators, and even internal business tools.
But here’s the challenge:
While 101 real-world use cases exist, very few professionals actually know how to build them.
Google Cloud recently published a goldmine: 🎯 101 Generative AI use cases from industry leaders
Here are just a few that caught my attention — and how they relate to what YOU can learn to build.
✈️ Airlines are using AI agents to manage rebooking.
Example: Alaska Airlines’ virtual assistant for flight changes
➡️ Want to build one? Learn to create multi-tool AI agents using LangChain + GCP tools like Vertex AI & Document AI — exactly what we teach in Week 3 of our Masterclass.
🛍️ Retailers are generating product descriptions & designs
Example: Belk, Canva, Puma using GenAI for e-commerce personalization
➡️ You can build similar RAG-based assistants to pull product data, generate text, and even deploy to apps or WhatsApp using LangServe.
🏥 Hospitals are using GenAI to manage internal knowledge bases
Example: Mayo Clinic’s GenAI document search
➡️ Learn to connect embeddings, vector databases (FAISS/Chroma), and build secure internal knowledge assistants in our course.
🎓 Want to Build Real-World GenAI Tools?
I’m leading a 30-day hands-on, instructor-led Masterclass starting June 27, 2025.
We’re not teaching AI theory — we’re building:
✅ AI Assistants ✅ Multi-step Toolchains ✅ RAG-powered Projects ✅ GCP Deployed Agents ✅ A Capstone hosted on GitHub ✅ A Certificate + LinkedIn Badge to prove your skill
If you're:
An AI/ML engineer wanting to go beyond prompts
A student aiming to break into Agentic AI roles
An educator looking to bring GenAI into your teaching
A product manager or C-level leader exploring what’s possible...
🎯 Explore and join the course here: 🌐 https://cjktedre.manus.space
🧲 Free Resource: 7 Real-World GenAI Use Cases + How to Build Them
I'm releasing a free PDF guide explaining:
The use case
The tools required
The build steps using LangChain + GCP + OpenAI
📩 Drop a comment or message and I’ll send it to you.
🎾 Say NO to GPTennis in Academia! 🎓

Avoiding GPTennis in Academia:
A Call for Responsible AI Use in Education
One of the greatest fears in modern education is a phenomenon I call GPTennis.
Here’s how it plays out:
Faculty outsource lecture creation and assessment design to AI.
Students outsource assignment completion and exam preparation to AI.
Faculty outsource grading and feedback to AI.
And so, the cycle continues.
Back and forth, lobbing AI-generated content to one another, semester after semester.
This dynamic threatens to reduce the true essence of teaching and learning. Academia’s core purpose — to inspire, mentor, and foster growth through human connection — risks being replaced by sterile automation.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m a huge advocate for integrating AI into education. When used thoughtfully, AI tools can address real challenges like personalization, efficiency, and resource accessibility.
But there’s a critical difference between leveraging AI as a supportive tool and outright outsourcing academic responsibilities to it.
When we rely too heavily on AI, we risk eroding our professional knowledge, judgment, and engagement. Teaching becomes transactional. Learning becomes superficial.
The challenge for us as educators is to find a balance:
Use AI to enhance creativity, not replace it.
Let AI handle repetitive tasks, but not diminish our active involvement.
Focus on maintaining the authenticity and integrity of our interactions with students.
Have you ever witnessed or experienced GPTennis in academia? Let’s open up this conversation and explore ways to avoid it while embracing the positive potential of AI in education.
Together, we can ensure that AI remains a tool for empowerment, not a substitute for the human touch in teaching and learning . Follow me D Meenakshi Sundaram .

💡 “AI is here to replace teachers.”
💡 “You need to be a coder to understand AI.”
Have you heard these statements before? They’re everywhere—spreading fear, uncertainty, and doubt about Artificial Intelligence in education.
As someone passionate about empowering teachers, I’ve met many educators who are curious about AI but held back by these common misconceptions. Let me tell you a story.
A Teacher’s Turning Point
Last year, I met a dedicated teacher named Priya. She loved her students but was drowning in administrative tasks—grading papers, creating lesson plans, and responding to endless emails. Priya had heard about AI tools but thought, "I'm not tech-savvy. AI isn’t for me."
With just one workshop, everything changed for her. Priya discovered AI-powered tools like ChatGPT and automated grading systems that saved her hours each week. Now, she spends more time doing what she loves: teaching and inspiring young minds.
This transformation inspired me to address the misconceptions holding teachers back. Let’s debunk the biggest myths about AI in education—and show how it can empower YOU.
Myth #1: AI Will Replace Teachers
The Truth: AI is a tool, not a replacement. AI can handle repetitive tasks, like grading and scheduling, so teachers can focus on what truly matters: engaging with students, fostering creativity, and guiding critical thinking.
Imagine this: Instead of spending hours grading 50 essays, you use AI to analyze patterns and give feedback—freeing you to create a hands-on activity for your students.
Myth #2: You Need to Be a Tech Expert to Use AI
The Truth: You don’t need to write code to use AI. AI tools today are user-friendly, designed for everyone. If you can use a smartphone or a search engine, you can easily adapt to AI-powered education apps.
For instance, tools like Canva’s AI design assistant or Microsoft’s AI-driven classroom insights require zero programming skills yet deliver powerful results.
Myth #3: AI Will Create a Cookie-Cutter Classroom
The Truth: AI enhances personalization, not standardization. With AI, you can tailor lessons to individual student needs. Platforms like adaptive learning tools adjust content based on a student’s progress, ensuring every child gets the attention they deserve.
What Does This Mean for You?
Imagine having more time, less stress, and greater impact in your classroom. That’s what AI can offer. The question isn’t whether AI will disrupt education—it’s whether you’re ready to harness its power to become an even better educator.
If Priya can do it, so can you.
Ready to Take the First Step?
I’m on a mission to train 1,000 teachers on AI, and I’d love for you to be part of this movement. Join my upcoming session to:
✅ Understand AI basics (no tech jargon, promise!)
✅ Learn practical tools to simplify your teaching
✅ Discover how to prepare your students for an AI-driven future
Spots are limited, so don’t wait. Together, let’s shape the future of education.
