Professional : Pretty chill day. Had a couple of meetings. One is for an event coming up later in the year. Spent the rest of the day resting up from last night and getting my expense report together from my Atlanta trip. The workshop went really well. Got a lot of good feedback and people interacted with my talk. Got to talk with folks that I haven't seen in a while and met new people. Got to take home some pizza also, so that was a bonus! haha
Personal : Didn't really get much done because I was at the meetup. Got back to my spot and passed out.

My main goal is to put together the radio show tracks for this week. I didn't really get a chance to work on it this week with the travel. Luckily, I did a bunch of work previously so I don't have much to do. I'm also creating rough models for this product I've been working on. Seeing it in the CAD program and not just in my notebook shows a lot of things that I didn't think of before. Also, I packaged up some vinyl and printed some shipping labels so that I can send them tomorrow on the way to the station. Day 1447 : The Running Man

Professional : First full day back from my work trip to Atlanta. Everything went really well. The event was good and people said they enjoyed my talk. I got back in the afternoon and basically did some work and slept a lot for the rest of the day.
Personal : Atlanta was a good time as usual. I got to check out Vince Staples tour for his "Cry Baby" album. It was a good show. I was too familiar with his music, but we have played a few of his tracks over the years. He had a live band that was pretty good as well. The next day was my talk and the following day I went back home. I only really ate from a Japanese restaurant that was down the street. Not only was it a conveyor belt sushi spot, but they had these little vehicles that ran on tracks that would deliver people's orders to their tables. It was pretty cool.

Right now, I'm outside the venue where I'll be giving the talk I just gave in Atlanta at a local meetup here in Orlando. They asked if I could give the same talk and I said sure. I did realize how tired I would be though. haha I ran through the presentation early and everything is working so far. Fingers crossed it all goes well. haha After this, I'm just going to head back to my spot and go to sleep. Feel like I've been doing the running man for the past week! haha.

Day 1446 : Back In Town

Professional : Started the day catching up with team members. Sent some messages to folks about some possible future work. Spent time putting together my talk. I think I have a good layout. Going to refine it some more.
Personal : Got all the social media posts together for my Bandcamp purchases this week. Also got the starting tracks for the radio show put together. Worked on the 3D model for a product I'm working on. I may have figured out how I want to wire up the LED.

I got the order that came in yesterday completed, packed up and put the shipping label on it. Going to drop it off on the way to the station. Speaking of station, going to finish putting together the radio show for tomorrow with the social media posts. I want to try this new browser-based CAD program and recreate what I've been working on with it. I'm thinking it will make it easier for me to create a twist lock type of connection. Going to eat dinner and get to work. Radio show on Saturday at https://kNOwBETTERHIPHOP.com . Don't think I'm do any study sessions over at https://untilit.works on Sunday because there's a bunch of stuff I want to get done before my work trip to Atlanta. I'm going to catch a concert while I'm there. Which reminds me, no updates to the blog for a couple of days next week till I'm back in town. Day 1445 : Right Thing

Professional : Today went pretty well. As usual, had a few meetings. In one of those meetings, I got to demo the application I built. Got some really good feedback. I recorded a video demo of the application and sent it to some folks at the company whose tech I used along with my company's tech. I got back some really good feedback and responses. We may end up doing something which would be cool. I worked on my upcoming talk. I got to watch a Livestream with one of my coworkers and they demoed another application I made.
Personal : Last night, I picked the projects I would buy on Bandcamp this week and started putting together the social media posts. I put together the playlist for this week's radio show. I learned about a new browser-based CAD software that seems pretty interesting and I started playing around with it. I think I may use it for this product I've been working on. Some of the tools built in I think will make designing it easier. Just trying to find the right thing that will help bring what I have in my mind to reality. We'll see. I didn't get to watch VisionQuest though.

Going to buy the Bandcamp projects, put together the social media posts for tomorrow. I'm going to do more of the prep work for the radio show. I think I may work on my talk and get at least a rough draft worked out so I can refine and finalize it tomorrow. It's not until next week, but I want to have it completed before I go. Oh, and I got another order this morning. It's not too complicated so I should be able to get it done tomorrow and shipped on Saturday on my way to the station (fingers crossed). I've also been building up the stock of products so I can just have them ready to ship as soon as they come in, especially since I have some work trips coming up. Going to eat dinner and get to work.

Day 1444 : Vision

Professional : Spent most of the day in meetings. I was able to clean up the demo application and get it pushed to the community repo. It was good timing because a team member may use it in a live stream. The blog based on my other demo application got posted today. Also did some work on the talk I have coming up.
Personal : I was so tired after getting the orders packed up and dropped off at the post office that I just went through tracks for the radio show and did more work on a 3D model. It's funny how different a sketch with no real dimensions look really different when you put them in a CAD program with the proper proportions. Also, I found out that an artist that I play on the radio show will be performing in Atlanta the same time I'll be there and I spent way too much time researching what the best available seat would be. haha I think I got a good view, plus the venue looks pretty awesome.

How is it Wednesday already?! haha Going to work on the radio show. I basically have the tracks selected. Just need to put them in order and get the social media posts together. I also want to pick the projects I'll pick up on Bandcamp this week. Also going to see if I can get a print ready prototype of the product I've been working on so I can print it tomorrow and test the fit of the pieces. Going to eat dinner and get to work. Also, Vision quest just dropped and I'll probably end the night watching the first two episodes.

Day 1443 : On My Way

Professional : Only had one meeting today. Spent the rest of the day cleaning up the demo application I made and worked on my upcoming talk.
Personal : Worked on getting these orders ready to ship.

Towards the end of the work day, I made the trip to drop off the packages to begin their journies to their new owners. On my way back, I got some food for dinner. I'm super tired. Going to go through some tracks for the radio show, work on some 3D models and go to bed. Got a lot of stuff happening tomorrow.

Day 1442 : Winning

Saturday : Got up a littler earlier to do some work in the shed on some orders. Then I headed to the station to do the show. As usual, it was a good time. The recording of this week's show is at https://kNOwBETTERHIPHOP.com

Sunday : Spent the day working on getting orders finished up to get them shipped in the week. In the evening, I added some functionality to my site dashboard so that when I update a customer's order, they will get an email with the update.
Professional : First day back from my week long vacation. Had a meeting with my manager and I had them spin up the demo application I made right before my vacation. They were able to get it up and running with no problems and seemed to really like it. Spent the rest of the day planning out another demo and my upcoming talk.
Personal : Whew the past week was productive and restful. I got to knock out some tasks that I've been meaning to work on, but didn't have consecutive days to get them accomplished. Like I cleared out the space where I have my solar panels on the ground. They had all sorts of weeds and grass growing around them. Now I just need to lay down the tarp and stuff to help keep the weeds from growing again. I finally got the new equipment up on some shelves. I asked AI for the best layout to get everything on the shelves and it was right. I set up a couple of the machines so I could work on these orders. I would call that winning!

Stayed a little later in the workshop to get a few more products ready so that I can be ahead and get orders turned around as quickly as possible. I'm not trying to go through what happened last time where I was stressing to keep up. Once I get a few packages completed, I'll start working on other projects that I want to get into and experiment. I'm going to work on some models for product ideas I have and put in some work for this week's radio show.

Day 1441 : Promises

Professional : Another pretty chill day. Had a catch up session with my team members. It was good to see what everyone is up to. Spent the rest of the day working on a new demo starter application using a new model that was released just yesterday. I refactored another project to use the new model and use case. The new model is multimodal so I'm passing it images from a video call. I got it to the point of the application starting up, running the setup script and serving the pages. I got to the point of fixing some CSS issues to make sure things look okay. I have not actually tested the model yet.
Personal : Last night, I got distracted by the release of the new model and doing a bunch of research on it. I even thought of a new application I could offer with my side business. I did get to put together the playlist and started working on the social media posts.

Got distracted again. haha Learned about a way I could add some functionality I've been looking into for a while for an application I made for my business. I'm off next week so I'll try and integrate it along with a bunch of things on my to-do list. Going to finish up the prep work for the radio show and maybe jump back into this application I was working on earlier so I can quickly post it so that my coworkers can test it out for me while I'm out. My goal for next week is to get a bunch of stuff done for my side business and set up things for the rest of the year going into 2027 and rest a little. So yeah, no posts next week. Day 1440 : Signed Sealed and Delivered

Professional : Normal Thursday with a few meetings. Spent the rest of the time working on this demo application. Made a good amount of progress and got the refactor working but adding some more niceties and functionalities.
Personal : Last night, I got a bunch of stuff done for the radio show. I added a lot of tracks to the playlist for upcoming shows in the future. Created the social media posts for the projects I'll be buying on Bandcamp (It's Bandcamp Friday, so artists see more money from each sale) and posting tomorrow. Did a little work on some upcoming projects.

Going to finish putting together the radio show so I'm ahead for future shows. Once that's done, going to continue working on this demo application. I want to have it signed sealed and delivered to a point that others can try out while I'm on vacation next week and give me feedback when I get back. Going to eat dinner and get to work.

Day 1439 : Something More

Professional : Pretty productive day even though I had a bunch of meetings that made me start and stop a few times. There's a demo application that I'm refactoring to use a new Model that was recently released. It's a different way of thinking when working with AI. I was hitting some issues getting it up and running, but after that, I made a lot of progress. It's almost working like before the refactor. The back-end stuff is pretty much working, just need to get the front-end to update with the new info. After that, I have an idea for an extra feature that could really showcase the speed of this new Model. I lost all track of time.
Personal : Last night, I selected the projects I'll pick up on Bandcamp this week. I also put together more tracks for the radio show's playlist. Did a little more work on the models for some products I want to release.

I've decided that I'm going to take next week off. I did a lot of work trips and have taken any vacation time. Next week is probably the best time because I have a few more trips coming up. I cleared it with my manager. I put it in the system and sure enough, I haven't taken any time off all year. All that to say, after working on the radio show, I'm going to go back to working on this application to see if I can get something more so I can demo it tomorrow in a team meeting. I'll have all of next week to work on my side projects and get dedicated time to finish up some stuff I've been meaning to work on. Going to eat dinner and get to work.

Day 1438 : Right To Left

Professional : Pretty good day. I booked the hotel and flights for a conference happening in December. There were a few choices of hotels and I probably did way too much research into which one would be the best for me. haha I figured out the area where I'll most likely be spending my time and got the hotel that was closest and quickest to get to. I also looked into the available flights and booked the right ones for me. Also started up a new project where I'll refactor a previous demo to use a new technology.
Personal : Worked on some models for future products that I want to create for my side business. I also worked on the playlist for the upcoming radio show by going through tracks and organizing them.

Going to work some more on the radio show's playlist so I can stay ahead with future shows. I may start roughing out some model designs in TinkerCAD to get an idea of how parts will fit together. I also need to give some thought on how I want to rearrange the layout of my shed to hold some new equipment. I'm thinking I may buy some more shelves or some other way to building up and down instead of horizontally right to left. Going to eat dinner and get to work.

Day 1437 : Joys

Saturday : Did the radio show from the station's studio this week. Feels like a lot longer than almost 3 weeks since I've been back. Had a great time as usual. The recording of this week's show is at https://kNOwBETTERHIPHOP.com

Sunday : I meant to do the study sessions but I was too tired and just worked on some projects, did my laundry from my trip and got an early start on putting together the radio show. I also started putting together a list of businesses to contact about my company. Still getting over getting sick from my trips.
Professional : Today went pretty well. Had a meeting to start the day to plan for the next quarter and month worth's of tasks. Mine is mostly give workshops and talks and build demos. Speaking of demos, my next meeting was with a person that will be writing a blog post around the latest demo I created using a new AI model to help get the company in the mix of the conversation. We went over the code and some concepts that will help with explaining things in the post. Followed that up with a meeting with my manager and we tested out my demo, talked about upcoming projects and I proposed some new demos and got the okay to work on them. I also submitted my expense report for Barcelona. Pretty good way to start the week.
Personal : I got my equipment back. Need to set it up so I can get these orders out this week. I also need to rearrange my shop's layout to try and hold everything better. The joys of having a small business. haha That's going to be my main focus.

Going to work on the radio show so I can get ahead for upcoming shows. I'm also working on some models for future products for my business. Got some sketches, but I'm still working on the fine details. Going to eat dinner and get to work.
