I did some modifications to a 3D model and worked on some graphics. Just need to put together the starter tracks and get the social media post together. The 12" vinyl was delivered along with a bunch of other stuff I ordered to create the items that will come with it. Going to finish up the prep work for the radio show, work on some 3D models and get them in a good state that I can print them on Sunday and finalize these prototypes so I start getting the packages together. It was good to see everyone and what they are working on. Responded to some comments that were left on a document I created. I tested a new version of a library that someone published. I tried to run some code that someone did a pull request on my repo, but it didn't work. I'll have to ask them about it. I also created a plan for a person to understand an idea for an application I have in mind. Day went by quick!</p></li> <li><p>Personal : I made some modifications to 3D models for items in this project. I used AI to create a 3D relief of a graphic. I tried to import it into my design program, but the file was too large. Did a bunch of thinking and sketching on how I can get this switch to work in an item. If I can get that working, I can then use the same idea in other projects. Ended the night watching the final "The Boys" episode. Going to pick up the Bandcamp projects I have picked out and get the social media posts created. I think I'll also put together tracks for this week's radio show and get those posts together as well. Going to try and generate some more reliefs of new graphics for this project. I also need to get this switch working. I've also thought about how I want the UI to work on a site I want to launch for this upcoming project. I think I'm going to try using AI to help me speed up development. I learned about the Modern Web Guidance set of skills that draw from the supreme wisdom of the internet to incorporate the newer features built into the web. I also looked at some code of an order application I created that I may revive to use in a program that another team started. I sent them a message to see if they are down to have it before I start working on it.</p></li> <li><p>Personal : I watched a few more videos from Google IO particularly around the Web and Firebase. A lot of cool stuff coming out. I had an idea for how I want to attach some parts together on an item for this vinyl limited edition package so I modeled a section to print and test the next day. I'm going to incorporate it into the actual model and finish it up so I can print a working prototype tomorrow. Going to do my best to get the working prototypes completed so I can start creating the packages next week. The 12" records are completed and should be delivered by the end of the week. I slacked so much on the 7" vinyl package (work, travel and some other things got in the way), that the 12" records will be here before I even got the other package done and for sale. I guess we can do a package deal where people can buy both and get a discount. Maybe it's for the best. I ordered a bunch of items like packing material for these packages. I may push the release date for both packages a week since they will come out together. Plus I still need to add the items to the online shop, Bandcamp and create some promotional material. I'm super close on the final versions of the items. Just got some tweaking to do. I sent some pictures and videos to the artist I'm working with to get their thoughts. Going to create new labels and get them shipped out this weekend on my way to the station. I also heard back from one of the artists I'm working with on this current project. I was hoping they would have mentioned some updates regarding XR, but they didn't. Guess I'll have to wait to see if there's any news next week at Google IO. I sent some sketches to the folks I'm working with for this 7" project. Going to keep working on the sketches. I've got some other ideas on changes I could make the other items I'm planning for this project. Going to do some more sketching, work on some 3D models and watch the Punisher special that comes out tonight. I had some time so I decided to walk to the post office. I get there, open my P.O. Box and I see 2 keys. That's weird. I opened the lock boxes and found the boxes that I shipped weeks earlier. Huh?!? I had tracking numbers on the packages and saw that they were delivered to the destination's post office so I thought everything was good. I did think it was odd that I never heard from the people, but figured they were busy. I guess I know why now. haha. So, I had to carry about 20 pounds of boxes all the way back to my vehicle... in the heat. Dropped off the packages and made my way to the studio, sent an email to the people about the packages and did the radio show. Had a really good time. I guess that half a mile walk carrying 20 pounds of boxes finally caught up with me. haha Basically spent the day in bed responding to community questions and working on documentation and other tasks. Had my meeting with my manager and I may refactor an old Web Component and re-release it. I need to dig it up and take a look at the code.</p></li> <li><p>Personal : Definitely not as far as I would like to be with this limited edition vinyl package, but now that this project at work complete, I think I'll have more mental energy to work on it.
