When I started building PassSabi AI, my goal was to help students prepare for WAEC, NECO, and JAMB with an AI-powered personal study assistant.

But I realised something important: students don't only need answers from AI. They also need opportunities to learn from one another.

That’s why I’m building the PassSabi AI Community. 🎓

The vision is to create a space where students can:

The goal isn't simply to build another social platform. It's to make learning more collaborative, encourage students to help each other, and recognise the value of sharing knowledge.

As a developer, I'm learning that building useful technology means thinking beyond features and asking a bigger question:

Sabi Demand is an AI Platform That Helps People Discover Business Opportunities

What if, before starting a business, you could explore what to sell, understand your local market, research competitors, and eventually preview your future shop in 3D, AR, or VR?

That is the vision behind Sabi Demand — an AI-powered market research and business-opportunity platform I am building to help aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners make more informed decisions.

💡 The Idea Behind Sabi Demand

Many people want to start a business, but knowing where to begin can be difficult.

Someone might have ₦50,000 or ₦100,000 to invest but still have questions:

What products should I sell?
Which products might have demand in my location?
Who are my competitors?
How much do products cost?
Where can I find suppliers?
Which sales channels should I use?
How can I manage my budget and reduce avoidable mistakes?

These questions inspired me to build Sabi Demand.

I wanted to explore how AI could make business research easier to understand and more practical for people who do not have access to expensive market research services.

My goal is not simply to build another AI chatbot. I want to build a tool that helps people move from “I want to start a business” to “I have researched an opportunity and understand my next steps.”

🔍 What Is Sabi Demand?

Sabi Demand is an AI-powered market research and business-opportunity platform designed for aspiring entrepreneurs, small sellers, and people exploring business ideas.

The idea is to let users provide important information, especially their budget and location, so the platform can help them investigate business opportunities that fit their circumstances.

Rather than giving everyone the same generic suggestions, Sabi Demand is being designed around the user's situation.

For example:

Imagine someone has ₦100,000 and wants to start selling products in Onitsha, Nigeria.

The platform could help investigate relevant product categories, public demand signals, likely competitors, price ranges, potential suppliers, and possible sales channels. It could also help the user build a basic financial estimate and identify questions that need more research before investing.

The purpose is to give the user a better starting point for making decisions — not to promise guaranteed profit.

🧠 The Core Features and Product Vision

AI Business Opportunity Research

A user should be able to explain their business goals in a simple way.

For example:

“I have ₦100,000 and want to start a small business in my area. What products should I research, and how can I begin?”

Sabi Demand's intended research workflow would use the user's budget, location, and interests to organize possible opportunities into a useful report.

The goal is to make research more accessible to people who may not know how to perform it themselves.

Local Market and Demand Analysis

A business idea that works in one location might not work the same way somewhere else.

Sabi Demand is intended to help users investigate relevant market signals, including:

Products and categories people appear to be searching for or buying.
Local competition and the types of products other sellers offer.
Available public information about prices and market activity.
Possible customer groups and sales channels.
Questions that still require direct local verification.

Where possible, research should use relevant public information and communicate its limitations clearly. Demand indicators are evidence to investigate, not proof that a product will sell.

Budget-Based Planning

Your starting capital matters.

Someone with ₦30,000 needs a different plan from someone with ₦500,000.

The long-term goal is for Sabi Demand to help users compare business ideas against their available budget, estimate possible startup costs, identify major expenses, and understand how much money may remain for restocking and other operating needs.

Financial estimates would need clear assumptions. They should not be presented as guaranteed returns or certain profits.

Competitor and Price Research

Before entering a market, it helps to understand what other sellers are offering.

Sabi Demand aims to make it easier to organize competitor information, compare available price ranges, investigate possible suppliers, and identify ways a business might differentiate itself.

The goal is to help users ask better questions before committing their money.

Supplier and Sales Channel Discovery

Finding a product is only one part of starting a business.

A seller also needs to consider where to source it and how to reach customers.

The platform's vision includes helping users investigate potential suppliers and sales channels, including physical shops, social media, online marketplaces, and direct selling.

Availability, supplier reliability, and prices would still need to be verified before a purchase.

🏪 The Bigger Vision: AI-Powered Shop Preview

One of the most exciting parts of my vision for Sabi Demand is Shop Preview.

I do not want the experience to end with a research report. I want to explore how users could eventually visualize the business they are planning before spending money setting up a physical shop.

Imagine researching a business opportunity and then moving to a virtual preview of the shop you want to create.

You could explore different layouts, shelving arrangements, product displays, and store styles before deciding which direction to take.

This is a future product direction, and it would be developed in stages.

🧊 1. 3D Shop Preview

The first step could be an interactive 3D shop builder.

Users might be able to choose a shop size, select a visual theme, arrange shelves and counters, place product displays, and move around the virtual space.

For example, someone planning a small cosmetics shop could preview where products might be displayed, how the counter fits into the space, and how customers could move through the shop.

A person planning a mini-mart could explore a different layout with shelves, storage areas, and a checkout counter.

The purpose would be to help people think through the layout before making physical changes.

📱 2. Augmented Reality (AR) Shop Preview

The next stage could explore augmented reality.

AR uses a device such as a compatible smartphone or tablet to place digital objects into a view of the real world.

Imagine standing inside an empty shop and using your phone to preview virtual shelves, a counter, or product displays in the actual space.

A future Sabi Demand AR experience could help a user visualize how a proposed layout might look inside their location before buying furniture or arranging the shop.

This could make planning more practical because the user would be considering the real space, not only looking at an image on a screen.

AR accuracy would depend on the device, room measurements, and the technology used.

🥽 3. Virtual Reality (VR) Shop Preview

Virtual reality could take the concept further.

Instead of looking at a shop through a phone screen, users could eventually explore an immersive virtual version of their proposed shop using a compatible VR headset.

They could walk through the layout, examine product displays, and compare different design options.

This could be especially useful for people planning a store who want to explore the design before investing in a physical setup.

I see VR as a longer-term possibility, not a feature I am claiming is already available.

🔗 4. Connecting Market Research With Shop Design

The most interesting possibility is connecting these ideas.

Imagine this workflow:

A user enters their budget and location.
Sabi Demand helps research potential business opportunities.
The user chooses an idea they want to investigate further.
The platform helps organize possible products, costs, and sales channels.
The user creates a proposed shop layout.
The user previews the design in 3D, with AR or VR explored as future options.

In the longer term, the product could investigate ways of connecting business planning with store layout decisions — helping users think about what they might sell as well as where and how they might display it.

For example, a shop preview could let a user experiment with different product-display arrangements. Any recommendations about demand or inventory would still need reliable research and clear assumptions behind them.

That connection between market intelligence and spatial visualization is what makes the idea exciting to me.

🛠️ How I Am Building Sabi Demand

Sabi Demand is an ongoing project, and I am developing it iteratively.

My workflow includes building the web application, managing code through GitHub, and deploying through Vercel. I use AI-assisted development as part of the process, but I also need to test the actual user experience, investigate errors, and improve the implementation.

One important lesson is that generating an answer is not the same as delivering a useful product.

A market research platform needs more than an attractive interface. It needs a clear research process, understandable reports, reliable handling of failures, and a user experience that makes the results easy to act on.

That is why simplifying the research workflow and improving report generation are important parts of the ongoing work.

I also want Sabi Demand to become more than a collection of complicated forms. The experience should feel approachable, with a conversational way for users to describe what they want to achieve.

I am still learning and improving the product step by step.

🚧 What Comes Next?

Sabi Demand is evolving, so its features and implementation will continue to change. My priorities include improving the research and reporting experience first, then expanding the platform as the core experience becomes more dependable.

The broader roadmap I want to explore includes:

More useful, location-aware business research.
Clearer market evidence, price comparisons, and financial assumptions.
A simpler conversational research experience.
Better ways to save and revisit research.
A 3D shop-layout preview.
Future investigation of AR shop visualization.
Future investigation of immersive VR shop tours.

The 3D, AR, and VR ideas are part of the roadmap, not claims that these capabilities are already implemented.

I want to approach them practically, starting with what can be built, tested, and made genuinely useful.

🌍 Why This Project Matters to Me

I am interested in building technology that solves real problems.

For me, Sabi Demand is an opportunity to explore how AI can make business research more accessible to people who want to start small, understand their options, and plan more carefully.

It is also a learning journey. Building a product means dealing with the parts people see — the interface and features — as well as the parts they do not see, including data, application logic, errors, deployment, and testing.

I want to keep learning, building, and improving the product based on what works.

My long-term ambition is to bring together business opportunity research, practical planning, and immersive shop visualization in one experience.
