Hi! My name is Elias. I'm a teenage software developer. Recently, I've been part of Flavortown, Hack Club's amazing event! I've built some cool projects and even won amazing prizes!

In this blog, I'm going to share my personal experiences with Flavortown so you can see if it's something for you!

My experiences with Hack Club:

The team is amazing, though communication between teams could be improved. For example, I was banned from Hack Club's Slack, which caused some issues with Flavortown. A few of these problems could have been entirely avoided if communication between teams had been handled better.

Other than that, the experience has been solid! I even won a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W, which as I'm writing this is still being shipped from the USA to Sweden.

Why i hate salesforce.

Hack Club, a nonprofit organization, was allegedly threatened by Salesforce just two days ago. The HQ team reportedly received a call stating that their Slack workspace including all message history would be deactivated unless they paid:

\$50,000 USD this week, and
\$200,000 USD per year moving forward,
plus additional annual fees for new accounts (even inactive ones).

This is despite an existing agreement made in May for \$5,000 per year, as confirmed by Hack Club’s Zach Latta an increase of 3,900%.
