What I Built

Solopreneur Sidekick - your AI Partner for creating amazing product content in seconds.

As someone who tried to run a small business, I know what it’s like to wear a dozen different hats at once. Being the product designer, the marketing specialist, and the content creator all in one. Staying visible on social media requires a massive time commitment, from writing captions and taking photos to editing them just right.

This problem is exactly why I built the Solopreneur Sidekick. It's designed to streamline social media content and product listing creation, cutting hours of work down to minutes.

With just one photo upload, it can generate an entire month's worth of social media content for you in a single day. It's a tool built to give small business owners their time back, so they can focus on what they do best: running their business.

How I Used Google AI Studio

I started by crafting a detailed prompt, writing the features and what output I am expecting. I iterate and chain as I move along. My key strategy was to iterate in small, controlled steps. This approach is helped me prevent hallucinations and accidental code deletions, just like continuous integration in software development. Instead of trying to get everything perfect at once, I add or fix a small detail, test it, and then move on.

I used Gemini 2.5 Flash to generate text outputs and
Gemini 2.5 Flash Image (Nano Banana) for image generation and manipulation.

With Google AI Studio, I also get to upload the code in my Github account
and deploy it real quick with Cloud Run.

Multimodal Features

From sitting down and creating a product listing, jumping between writing the title, crafting the description, to trying to imagine what the product looks like in a real-world setting? This process is tedious and time-consuming.

I built this app to eliminate that hassle. Instead of creating everything from scratch, the user can simply upload a single image and provide a few key details. The app then instantly combines these inputs to do the rest of the work.

In a single click, it generates everything you need: a catchy product title, a detailed description, and a set of new images that show your product being used. By working with both visuals and text at the same time, the app gives you all your content in a fraction of the time, dramatically improving the workflow and the experience.

This project is an interactive chatbot designed to help parents and caregivers answer a child’s endless "why" questions. The bot provides simple, engaging explanations paired with custom-generated, detailed, hyper-realistic images.

Interactive Q&A: Delivers simple, engaging answers tailored for a young audience.
Audio & Voice Input: Accepts voice commands and provides spoken replies for an interactive experience.
AI-Generated Images: Creates custom, detailed, realistic images to accompany each explanation.

Safety-First Design: Implements robust safety features to ensure all content is appropriate and suitable for children.

My Experience

Start with the Spark: The Gemini Brainstorm Gem is a great tool for turning a vague idea into a concrete project plan.
Speedy Development with Google AI Studio: I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I could build a functional app using Google AI Studio, making the development process incredibly efficient.
Iterate, Iterate, Iterate: Don't expect perfect results on the first try. My development process was a cycle of testing, evaluating, and refining the prompts to get the app's behavior just right.
Build on Your Foundation: Prompt chaining is a powerful technique for adding complexity and advanced features, like voice input and audio output, without having to start from scratch. I found that it handles prompt chaining exceptionally well, which was a very good experience.
Bake in the Safety: When your target audience is children, safety can't be an afterthought. It needs to be a core part of your development process from the very beginning.
