The goal is to provide a practical, production-ready selection of languages and resources, helping you find what’s worth using today.</p> <h2> What’s Included </h2> <p>Plangs! focuses on languages that are ready for real-world projects, or close to it. While experimental or alpha-stage languages may appear, they must at least support prototyping and have some good documentation. The community ultimately shapes what gets featured, so discussions and contributions are welcome!</p> <h2> Contributions </h2> <p>Plangs started with a mix of Wikipedia data, AI prompts, Github and <a href="https://tjpalmer.github.io/languish/" rel="noopener noreferrer">Languish data</a>, and manual curation. Contributions from developers are always appreciated!</p> <p>The site is currently backed by a static JSON file, but <a href="https://plangs.page/edit" rel="noopener noreferrer">the editor allows changing the data</a> by storing it in localStorage. The data can be exported, and the website can use the Github API to automatically generate a pull requests to make your changes available upstream.</p> <p>While working on the site, I'm continuously looking to improve the quality of the data, but as there are more than 200+ plangs and counting, I'd love to have your help!</p> <h2> Meta </h2> <p>Plangs! is a website about programming languages and tools, so it’s only fitting to share some of the tools that power it!
