Create Custom Functions

Custom functions are written using deluge scripting language to effectively manipulate data, communicate with third-party applications and update response in your CRM.

To create a custom function

- Log in to Zoho Developer console and click Build Extensions for Zoho CRM.

- Sselect the extension you'd like to modify and click Edit.

- Click Automation in the left pane of the Extension Details page and click Workflow.

- Select Custom Functions tab at the top of the page.

- In the Workflow Custom Functions page, click Create.

In the Workflow Custom Functions dialog box, do the following:

Specify a name for the custom function.

Select the module for which you want to trigger the custom function.

Note

Make sure you associate the custom function to the workflow rule that is created for the same module.

In the deluge script editor, write the function. See Also Program Custom Functions
Click Save.
How to mass update in zoho CRM leads

As of my last update in September 2021, I can provide you with general steps on how to perform a mass update in Zoho CRM leads. Please note that the user interface or specific steps may have changed in newer versions of Zoho CRM, so it's a good idea to check the Zoho CRM documentation or the user interface for the most up-to-date instructions. Here's how you can perform a mass update in Zoho CRM:

Login to Zoho CRM: Go to the Zoho CRM website and log in using your credentials.

Navigate to Leads Module: Once you're logged in, navigate to the Leads module in Zoho CRM where you want to perform the mass update.

Select Leads to Update: Use the search, filters, or any other relevant criteria to select the leads you want to update in bulk. You can either select specific leads manually or apply filters to choose leads that meet specific criteria.

Choose Mass Update Option: After selecting the leads you want to update, look for the "Mass Update" option. The location of this option might vary depending on the version of Zoho CRM you are using. Usually, you can find it in the top menu, toolbar, or by right-clicking on the selected leads.

Update Fields: Once you access the Mass Update feature, you'll be able to choose the fields you want to update. Select the fields you want to modify for the selected leads. For example, you might want to update the status, source, or any custom fields you've created.

Set New Values: After selecting the fields, provide the new values you want to apply to the selected leads. You can enter the new values manually or choose from predefined options, depending on the field type.

Preview Changes (if available): Some versions of Zoho CRM offer a preview option to see the changes before they are applied. If available, it's recommended to review the changes to ensure they are correct.

Confirm and Execute: Once you are satisfied with the changes, confirm the mass update, and Zoho CRM will apply the new values to all the selected leads.

Review and Verify: After the mass update is complete, review the leads to ensure that the changes have been applied correctly.

Save and Exit: Save your changes and exit the Mass Update interface.

It's essential to exercise caution while performing mass updates as the changes will affect multiple records simultaneously. Always make sure you have a backup or a way to revert the changes if needed.

As mentioned earlier, the steps and options might vary slightly based on the version and configuration of Zoho CRM you are using. Always refer to the official documentation or consult the support resources provided by Zoho for the most accurate and up-to-date information
