Hello! My name is Chong Wing Yeng, and I am currently studying Computer Science.

I created this blog to document my learning journey, share my projects, and record the challenges and lessons I encounter while studying software development.

My Current Projects
PHP and MySQL Web Application

I am working on a web-based system using PHP, MySQL, SQL, and HTML.

Through this project, I am learning how to:

Connect a website to a database
Store and retrieve information
Create user-oriented functions
Develop CRUD operations
Manage sessions and authentication
OpenCV Traffic Sign Recognition System

This project focuses on detecting and recognising traffic signs from road images.

The system uses image-processing techniques such as:

Colour-space conversion
Colour segmentation
Morphological processing
Contour detection
Shape checking

This project has helped me understand how computer vision systems process images and identify important objects.

I am also exploring the development of an XR-based stress-management learning system.

The proposed system combines immersive environments with AI-assisted guidance. It may include activities such as breathing exercises, mindfulness sessions, relaxing audio, and personalised recommendations.

Through this project, I hope to improve my knowledge of Unity, C#, XR development, user interaction, and artificial intelligence.

Data Science Project

My data science work involves analysing datasets using Python.

The main tasks include:

Data cleaning
Data preprocessing
Exploratory data analysis
Data visualisation
Interpreting results

This allows me to understand how raw data can be transformed into useful information.

Why I Started This Blog

I started this blog because I want to:

Record what I learn
Explain my projects clearly
Improve my technical communication
Share challenges and solutions
Track my development progress
Build a stronger professional portfolio

Writing about a topic also helps me understand it more deeply.

My Future Goals

My goal is to continue improving my programming, problem-solving, and software development skills.

I also plan to build more complete projects, contribute to beginner-friendly open-source projects, and prepare myself for a full-time technology role after graduation.
