We have developed dotenv-linter — a useful tool for checking .env files. It helps to find problems in .env files that you might miss at first, but which later may result in incorrect work of applications. We have made the tool universal, it can be connected to any project regardless of the programming language.

We've just released a new version of dotenv-linter — v2.2.0, and here is an overview of the key changes included in this release!

Binary Options is one of the relatively new asset trading services, and it has certainly gathered a huge number of followers over the last few years. The integration of blockchain technology in a binary options trading framework eliminates any concerns about fraud. Bulls vs. Bears is a blockchain-based binary options trading platform that uses Tronix (TRX) crypto as the main digital currency for making trades, where players can trade on 30-second candles. We helped the Bulls vs. Bears team develop this safe betting platform from scratch.

Evrone focuses on using proven technologies to complete intricate, high-load projects for large enterprises and facilitate fast start-up launches. Our engineers closely monitor advances in technology and apply the innovations that show the most convincing results. This approach led Evrone to expand our tech stack to include the Dart programming language and the Flutter framework, both of which we employed in the development of a healthcare mobile app for our client.

Potok is a crowdfunding platform for lending and investments for medium and small businesses. It allows small businesses to quickly attract loans from investors, individuals and legal entities, while they receive equally fast returns.

The platform was launched as an Alfa Bank project back in 2015, but in 2019, the bank sold a 40% stake to a group of private investors with experience in the development of fintech projects.

The platform is written in Ruby on Rails, so the new shareholders approached Evrone, since we are experts in this technological stack, with the task of managing the development and support of an innovative product.

Our design team continuously strives to develop, grow, and be ready to change. So they are constantly learning and trying new things. In 2020, Evrone designer Natasha Yankelevich decided, as an exercise, to create the concept of a personal website for an individual who inspired her - photographer Elizaveta Porodina.

Natasha published the concept on social networks and tagged Elizaveta. She almost immediately received a message from the photographer praising the site concept. Elizaveta wanted us to fully develop the site and turn it into a representation of herself and her style. We reached an agreement on all the documentary details, discussed the nuances of the fashion photography website project, and got down to work.

Introduction

Steve Klabnik is a member of the Rust core team, an active open-source contributor, and author of The Rust Programming Language, Rails 4 in Action, and Designing Hypermedia APIs books. In 2012 and 2016, we invited Steve to speak at the RailsClub (now RubyRussia) conference. Since then, Steve has been working on Rust a lot, did a lot of interesting things and we realized that we should definitely interview him once again!

We sat down with Steve to hear from him first-hand about his professional activities at the moment, the design success of Rust, a little about the "full-stack" development hype, and overcoming burnouts.

Introduction

Evrone is not just a custom software development company, we also stay highly connected with local and international communities. We organize the annual Ruby Russia conference, a huge event featuring expert guests. These community connections give us a competitive edge and provide us with better technical expertise and consulting opportunities. We have conversations with developers around the world, including the creators of innovative new technologies, and we try to strengthen connections and give back to the community through interviews, conferences, and meetups. We recently conducted an interview with José Valim, the creator of the Elixir programming language, and asked him about his goals for the language and how it came to be.

Until recently, it seemed that working remotely, and, especially, holding public events virtually, was something completely new and fresh. Something from the future. Now it is becoming the daily reality, and it is exciting to observe the evolution of the idea of holding events remotely.

We are living in a world where technology allows you to exchange information and communicate with others around the globe, without ever leaving your home. It is time for conferences to adapt to this new way of life. Remote user conferences are the future.

Cuprite: headless Chrome Ruby driver for Capybara

Ferrum + Capybara = Cuprite
Cuprite is a driver for Capybara that uses Ferrum — a minimal-dependency pure-Ruby driver for running headless Google Chrome instances.

If you’re already using Capybara, Cuprite gives you all the benefits of Ferrum, but without the overheads of having to switch APIs. Because Ferrum employs Chrome's native DevTools Protocol (CDP), it doesn't need anything special in order to operate Chrome or Chromium in headless mode, unlike some alternative solutions.

https://evrone.com/cuprite
