⚡🎮 NeonGauge: Let a Tiny Pixel Buddy Watch Your Claude Limits For You 🎮⚡

Ever been deep in a coding session when Claude suddenly hits its limit mid-task? 😵‍💫
It happened to me so often that I decided to build my own app, and I wanted it to double as cool desktop decor too 😎

👾 NeonGauge is a tiny pixel-art app that floats on your screen all the time.
It shows how much of your Claude usage you’ve burned through, for both the 5-hour session and the weekly limit, with a countdown to the next reset ⏳

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

🦀 Built with Rust, extra lightweight
✅ A single native file, around 8 MB
✅ No runtime to install, no hidden browser inside like Electron apps
✅ Leave it running all day without slowing your machine down

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

🐣 A mascot with 5 moods that react to your usage
😊 0–29% → ALL CHILL
😎 30–59% → CRUISING
😰 60–79% → EASE UP...
🚨 80–94% → DANGER ZONE!
😵 95–100% → BURNT OUT

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

✨ Fully loaded, in a window the size of a stamp
🔔 Alerts before you hit the limit (custom thresholds) with 8-bit sounds and desktop notifications
📊 24-hour history chart plus 7-day daily peaks, stored only on your machine
🎵 Chiptune sound effects synthesized in code, with zero audio files
⚙️ Adjust size, opacity and always-on-top from Settings, no code edits needed
🖥️ Hides in the system tray and can launch at startup

🔒 Safe by design: the app only reads your Claude Code token. It never modifies it or sends it anywhere else, and all the code is open for you to inspect.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

💻 Supports Windows · macOS · Linux
🆓 100% free · Open Source (Apache-2.0)
