I didn't expect all of the help I got.

Yesterday, I posted my first article. To my surprise I got more than one response. There were a lot of people there offering advice and willing to help. To all those people, I would like to say a thank you a lot. I know, i say thank you way too much. I am just not used to asking for help or getting any for that matter.

Anyway based on the information I got yesterday, plus the information during my procrastination over the last 7 months, I have decided to start by learning Javascript first in a #100daysofcode setup. I am committing to a post everyday no matter how short to explain what I did that day from the 1st of October. I will put these posts up here an on medium.

While learning the main crux of frontend web development, i.e HTML, CSS, Javascript, Bootstrap, React, etc. I will also be learning all the extras that make up the whole ecosystem like GIT, NPM, APIs, etc on the side. Hopefully I will be at a job ready position in that time.

Once again thank you to everyone that read my post yesterday and everyone that commented with some help.

PS: I started reading the "Your First year in code" book by Isaac Lyman and a couple of amazing co-authors and I actually appreciate this outlook on what to expect along the way. The how to code in one chapter chapter has been my favourite so far by the way. Thanks to them.

This is to the next 109 days. #inittowinit

Good day to everyone that sees this.

My name is Favour. I am 21 years old. Currently in my 3rd year of university studying Computer Science. This corona thing and my lecturers being on strike have come together to make sure I am at home with nothing to do. After exactly 7 months of being idle and bored, I have set myself the goal of becoming a job ready Frontend developer in the next three months, starting on the 27th of this month, September. The issue is:

I don't know any programming languages, I have a very high level knowledge of things being a CS student. I just enough to pass my exams nothing more.

I don't have money to join a bootcamp or pay for a bunch of classes, i.e I am broke, dead broke.

What I am asking for is help, to put together a curriculum an in-depth curriculum. I have time to kill and nothing else to do, I am highly motivated to work my bones off.

I am asking for recommendations and resources you used to learn to get your first job.

Before you go, you can't get job ready in 3 months, calm down, I have seen people do it. Plus I am aiming for the moon while shooting for stars.

If you have any help please dm me on Twitter. Thanks for your help. See I am thanking you in advance so you are guilt tripped into helping me. Thank you anyways.
