I kept searching for a movie and finding out it wasn’t on anything where I live. Streaming catalogs change a lot by country, and most “where to watch” sites mainly cover the US. So I built FlickFinder.

What it does
Type a movie or show and it lists every streaming platform that has it, and which countries it’s available in. It covers 60+ countries, it’s free, and there’s no sign up.

How I built it
The streaming data comes from TMDB, and I built the site with help from Claude, which speeded up the parts I got stuck on.

What I learned

Availability differs a lot between countries. When I checked, Unabomber was on Netflix in 131 countries and nowhere else, while Backrooms was only on Max in four countries and on Prime Video in Canada.
Catalogs change often, so a page that was right last month can be wrong today.

What’s next
It’s early, so I’d like feedback: what’s confusing, and what’s missing?

Try it:
