I Built Formqivo — A Simple Way to Send HTML Form Submissions to Email

I Built Formqivo — A Simple Way to Send HTML Form Submissions to Email

Ever built a static website and realized the contact form was the only part that needed a backend?

I kept running into the same problem: a simple contact form shouldn’t require deploying another server, managing SMTP credentials, or setting up a database just to receive a message.

So I built Formqivo.

It’s a free, early-access form-to-email service for developers building portfolios, landing pages, and small websites.

What makes Formqivo useful?

No backend required — connect a standard HTML form to your inbox.

Submission tracking — see recent submissions, email-provider acceptance, failures, and trends.

Less data retention — Formqivo doesn’t store submitted message bodies in its own database.

Developer-friendly — works with HTML, JavaScript, React, and Astro.

Easy setup — create a form, copy your access key, and start testing.

A minimal HTML example

Send message

The example sends a standard HTML POST and displays the API response. For inline success messages without navigating away, Formqivo also supports a JavaScript JSON API.

Built for small websites

Formqivo is in early access. It has shared sending limits, and I’m improving it based on real-world usage.

My goal is straightforward: make contact forms easy to integrate, easy to monitor, and affordable for independent developers.

Try it: https://formqivo.com

Documentation: https://formqivo.com/docs

I’d love feedback from anyone building a static website or portfolio. What matters most to you in a form backend: simplicity, delivery visibility, privacy, or generous free usage?
