These rules are baked into every prompt in the system. If you remember nothing else, remember these:

1. Give the model a job, not a request.

Not "write me a sales email." Instead: "You are the Head of Sales at a B2B SaaS that sells to marketing teams. Write a cold email to a Head of Growth at a Series B company that just raised funding."

The output stops being generic. It starts being yours.

2. Declare the output contract before asking.

"Deliver this as plain text I can paste into an email client. Max 110 words. No urgency language. One CTA: a yes/no question."

Without this, you get 3-paragraph essays with bullet points that serve no one.

3. Feed context or make the model say "I need info."

If the prompt needs facts the AI doesn't have, one of two things: paste the real data in, or add: "Before drafting, list the 3 things you don't know. Do not invent facts — mark them as {{PLACEHOLDER}}."

The second option is where the real magic starts. The model will tell you what it needs instead of hallucinating.

4. Export the checklist after a great output.

"Write the step-by-step checklist you used to produce that, so a human or an AI can repeat it with different inputs."

Do this after every good run and you will have a playbook within two weeks. This is the most underrated prompt in the world.

5. One prompt, one output.

Composite prompts ("write me an audit AND a plan AND the landing page") return 3 mediocre things. Split them into steps in a workflow.

4. The export command (the most important one)
You just produced that great output. Write the numbered checklist you used so a human or AI can reproduce it with different inputs. Each step under 12 words.

5. The polite no
Draft a reply to {{REQUEST}} that says no while keeping the door open: respect the request, name the real constraint briefly, offer 1-2 alternatives, end with goodwill. ≤60 words.
