Quick intro about me. I am a backend engineer mostly focused on distributed systems and databases. I like thinking about problems to solve. For fun, I like sports (soccer is my favorite), playing the guitar, and making dad jokes all the time. Oh, and in what feels like a different life, I was also into speedcubing - link.

These blogs are going to be primarily for me. For me to write my thoughts so that I can internalize the concepts better. Even in school, I used to understand things better after trying to explain the concepts to my friends.

Right now, I do not have any structure in mind for this. We will see how this goes, or when I even write my second blog. I am a busy man. Right now, I am learning about building high level and low level systems (shoutout to HelloInterview), trying to get better at leetcode without losing my mind, and building my AI orchestration system (more details later).

The purpose of these blogs is to write about new things that I come across and learn about. This is not going to be another Kafka vs RabbitMQ because there are already excellent resources out there explaining what Kafka is or comparing it to RabbitMQ. I'd rather write about why I designed something a certain way, how I arrived at a solution, or simply document an idea I found cool.

I'll be dividing everything into 2 broad categories. Blogs will either be purely tech-related, or they could be about random thoughts that I want to put out there. Now the fun stuff could be about AI, fintech, sports, poker, or it could be about why today's music is levels below what we had before I was born (shoutout to Zeppelin and Pink Floyd). For now, I will try to focus more on the first category.

And lastly, these blogs are going to be my raw thoughts. I hate it when people write everything using AI now (looking at you, LinkedIn!). It's okay when you're writing an official email to someone and want to be careful. But when it comes to blogs like these, I prefer to keep it raw. But of course, I will be using AI to proof-read my content and make sure I'm not making any blunders when it comes to the technical details. That will make me learn and go deeper into things when I'm wrong, and I'm also a little scared of the experts chewing me out.

But anyway, If any of these notes do end up being useful to someone else along the way, that's a nice bonus.
