The world of technology transit from just an information go place to a place of interaction, thanks to web2.0 and innovative companies like Facebook now meta that brings sociality into the interaction in the web.

What is the web2 and how we got there?

The web has been an infrastructure that allows access to information anywhere without restrictions. However, just access to information and that could be said to be the world of web1.0, which is just to display information, read as popularly called in the context of development.
Web2.0 broke of the boring robot like infrastructure and make it a go to for interactions between ourselves on human level. Think of what Facebook has done since it came, creating an interaction between people same with other web2 firms like tiktok, Snapchat and others.
What can be deduced is that Web2 infrastructure gives room for interactions in exchange for something vital and important, what is this thing, of course its data.
There is a popular annotation that if you are not paying to use a product, then you are the product. So, in a nutshell web2 focuses in social interactions in exchange for our data, meaning we can be monitored without notice and our privacy is not really private to us alone.

Diving into the Web3

What would you think of doing with your own power being given to you? Of course a lot if I am in your mind. Let me say that is a welcome message into the world of your power being given to you, the world of web3.

Power?

Yes, you read that right, data is the power being handed over to you in the world of web3.0. Everything becomes decentralized, border-less, transparent and digitalized. You see the power we are talking of right?

The major focus of the Web3 is to live in an immersive world of decentralization, where no 3rd party is involved, its a deal between oneself and the technology, hence making it a fast means of transaction either business, interaction or verification

Web3 and why?

Web3 is powered using the block chain technology adapted from cryptography dated back centuries before now. The world of web3 became a light of the 21st century when in 2009, an unrecognized entity named satoshi nakamoto came with the bitcoin and the whole world is set on a new path, this part led to adventurous movement by various developers and firms, like vitalik buterin, who believed that block chain tech can be used to transform the order of the way things operate in the century we are in, polkadot coming in to claim it is the block chain of all other block chains, and companies like Facebook now Meta, Microsoft, et'al creating a world where we will be represented by avatars known as the metaverse.

Web2 Vs web3

As we could have observed some of the differences between this two technologies, let's highlight the powers of the web3 over web2 in some feww lines below:
Decentralization
Permissionless
Transparency
Traction efficiency
Fast

However, web2 has some features that the web3 technology still envies and the top of it is Security

As a tech enthusiast, am always amazed at how far the world has gone and our problems have been solved using tech. There is that part of me that will say you can fit in and there is another part of me which always say you can solve the problem, even though i know am coming from a non tech background. We are never constrained in problem solving using tech, cos there are lot of technological tools that can be used to solve the same problem, but where the constraint lies is in the thinking and perspective.
Successfully, some may create a solution in which the whole world we go wow, while some will create another solution and it will be a wack. The part that mostly got my attention is design thinking which I think the space there is not totally tapped in globally and locally by SW firms... I am an enthusiast and will soon be a savvy, so I will know what distraction caused the less attention given to the industry of the design thinking.
