Show DEV: A small prepaid test balance for OpenAI-compatible clients

When testing Codex-style tools, bots, and OpenAI-compatible SDKs, I prefer not to connect a primary billing account to every experiment.

I built a small prepaid option: a one-time activation code adds 10 USD of internal credit to an independent OpenAI-compatible API service. After activation, you create your own API key and configure a separate Base URL.

The current listing supports Chat Completions and Responses, streaming, and tool calls. It currently lists GPT-5.6 Sol/Terra/Luna, GPT-5.5, GPT-5.4 variants, and image models, with a default limit of 20 requests per minute.

 A practical testing workflow

Start with a tiny request.

Check the usage log before larger jobs.

Keep production workloads on a provider setup with a backup route.

Never expose your generated API key in public repositories or community posts.

Important disclosure: this is third-party service credit sold through GGSEL. It is not OpenAI official balance, an official OpenAI API key, ChatGPT Plus, or a ChatGPT account. Model availability, pricing, and routing may change.

Current GGSEL listing ($0.95 when checked):
https://ggsel.net/en/catalog/product/balans-openai-sovmestimogo-api-10-usd-gpt-5-6-gpt-5-5-codex-102585713

I’d appreciate feedback on which OpenAI-compatible clients or Codex workflows would be most useful to document next.
