      <title>How do you keep sensitive stuff (files/folders and secrets) from showing in coding tutorials?</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Anytime I want to record a coding tutorial, I always end up spending like 5–10 minutes just trying to hide stuff — closing Slack so messages don’t pop up, hiding my .env files, clearing my desktop, checking browser tabs, all that.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;And even after all that stress, I still forget something sometimes 😩&lt;br&gt;
Last week I didn’t realise my .env file was showing for a few seconds before I caught it. Had to go back and edit the whole thing.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;There has to be a smarter or easier way to do this, right? How do you guys handle it?&lt;/p&gt;
