That’s exactly how we felt building [Reaper](https://github.com/ghostsecurity/reaper).

One of the biggest challenges we see in AppSec is managing how your team’s limited time and brainpower is spent.

Teams pouring a ton of their effort into small tasks that don’t move the needle: → Manual testing → Manual validation → Repetitive checklists → Endless gluing of tools that just don’t fit together

Sound familiar? 😅

Our take:
Individual actions = Small impact
Autonomous tools = Force multiplier

So instead of waiting for something that could keep up with the scale of a modern org, we built Reaper out of our own desire to make an impact—an open-source, AI-driven security testing framework with the goal of intelligently automating the process.

If your ideas don’t make someone say:

“That’s bold…”
“Is that even possible?”
“Can we really do that?”

Then you’re playing it too safe.
