A shared, always-up-to-date needs board makes it easier for generosity to actually reach the people who need it.</p> <h2> Demo </h2> <p>Try it live: <a href="https://community-needs-boar-0wjr.bolt.host" rel="noopener noreferrer">https://community-needs-boar-0wjr.bolt.host</a></p> <p>The app is intentionally minimal:</p> <ul> <li>A nonprofit posts a need, for example "50 bottles of water for the Saturday food drive"</li> <li>Each need shows up on a shared board with an open or fulfilled status</li> <li>Anyone can mark a need as fulfilled once it's been taken care of</li> <li>A live counter shows how many needs are still open</li> </ul> <h2> Who It's For </h2> <ul> <li>Small nonprofits and community organizers who don't have the budget or time for a full donation-management platform</li> <li>Volunteers and donors who want a quick way to see exactly what's needed right now</li> </ul> <h2> What's Next </h2> <p>This was built as a fast, focused weekend project, so it's deliberately simple. Natural next steps: let each nonprofit have its own board and link to share, add categories like supplies, time, and skills, and add simple authentication so only the nonprofit can post new needs.</p> <p>Sometimes generosity doesn't need a complicated platform, just a clear, shared list of what's actually needed.</p> <p>Built with Next.js and React, using Bolt.new.</p> devchallenge weekendchallenge nextjs webdev
