Every day I saved screenshots because I didn’t want to forget something.

A boarding pass.

A receipt.

A package tracking number.

A restaurant recommendation.

A Wi-Fi password.

A recipe.

A concert ticket.

A conversation I wanted to reply to later.

The problem wasn’t taking screenshots.

The problem was finding them again.

Months later my camera roll had over 10,000 images, and every time I needed something I found myself scrolling endlessly, hoping I’d recognize it.

I kept asking myself one question:

Why is AI smart enough to write code, but not smart enough to understand my screenshots?

So I decided to build it.

For the past several months I’ve been building Skreenly, an AI-powered screenshot assistant for iPhone.

Instead of treating screenshots like ordinary photos, Skreenly reads them, understands what’s inside, and turns them into something useful.

It can:

• Automatically organize screenshots into smart folders.

• Search the actual content inside every screenshot.

• Detect receipts, flights, tickets, appointments, tracking numbers, QR codes, phone numbers, addresses and much more.

• Suggest actions like creating reminders, adding events to your calendar, opening maps, copying information or saving passes to Apple Wallet.

The goal isn’t to store more screenshots.

It’s to help people finally use the information they’ve already saved.

One thing surprised me while building this.

People don’t take screenshots because they like screenshots.

They take screenshots because they’re afraid they’ll forget something important.

That realization completely changed how I designed the app.

Now I’m curious.

I have a problem: I'm a visual hoarder. My camera roll is a 10,000-image digital graveyard where information goes to die. WiFi passwords, code snippets, and flight credits—all lost.

I built Skreenly (https://skreenly.app) to solve this. It’s an AI screenshot inbox that reads every image (GPT-4o), auto-categorizes them, and makes them searchable by content.
