I Built a Complete CRM Using Only GitHub Repos and One AI Prompt Here's How

I needed a CRM. I had $0 budget. So I built one with GitHub repos and AI.

Last month my close friend needed a CRM for my startup. HubSpot wanted $99/month. Salesforce wanted $300/month.

So I did something crazy: I built one using only free GitHub repos and a single AI prompt.

Here's the exact stack GitStack gave me:

Tool

What It Does

GitHub Stars

Supabase

Database + Auth

78K

n8n

Workflow automation

46K

Metabase

Analytics dashboards

41K

Cal.com

Scheduling

32K

Total cost to run: $5/month on a VPS
vs HubSpot/Salesforce: $99-300/month

That's $3,600+/year saved on ONE tool.

But here's the real magic — The Master Prompt

GitStack didn't just give me the tools. It gave me one copy-pasteable prompt that I fed into Cursor.

That prompt built:

Database schema

Authentication system

API endpoints

Frontend UI

Deployment config

From "I need a CRM" to "It's live" in 2 hours.
Total spend: $5/month. Not $300.

 This isn't just for CRMs

Build It Once, Sell It Forever

Here's what most people miss:

I built that CRM for $5/month. But I can also sell it on GitStack's marketplace to other founders who need the same thing.

How it works:

I used GitStack to build a working CRM (free open-source stack + one AI prompt)

I polished it, branded it, made it deploy-ready

I listed it on GitStack Marketplace for $30 one-time purchase

Other non-technical founders buy it → deploy in one click → save $99/month on HubSpot

They get: A working CRM for $30 one-time (vs $1,200/year HubSpot)
I get: $30 every time someone buys
GitStack gets: A small transaction fee

No coding required for the buyer. No ongoing SaaS bill. One purchase, own it forever.

What You Can Build & Sell on GitStack

Anything. Literally anything. Some examples:

Product

Stack Used

Sell For

Buyer Saves

CRM System

Supabase + n8n + Metabase

$30 one-time

$1,200/yr vs HubSpot

Booking App

Cal.com + PostgreSQL + React

$25 one-time

$600/yr vs Calendly

Email Marketing

Listmonk + Redis + n8n

$35 one-time

$900/yr vs Mailchimp

Analytics Dashboard

Plausible + Metabase

$20 one-time

$500/yr vs Tableau

AI Chatbot

Ollama + Open WebUI

$40 one-time

$2,400/yr vs Intercom

You build it once with GitStack's free tools. You sell it unlimited times on GitStack's marketplace.

Three Ways to Make Money on GitStack

 1. Sell Your Build (Easiest)

Build any tool with GitStack → List it for $20-50 one-time → Other founders buy it → You keep most of it

 2. Sell Managed Hosting (Recurring)

List your GitHub repo → Offer "I'll host this for you" → Charge $50-200/month → Passive income

 3. Sell Support & Customization (Service)

Same repo → Offer priority support, custom configs, white-labeling → Charge per project

GitStack takes a small fee only when you make a sale. No listing fees. No monthly charges.👇
