Hey everyone! 👋

As developers, we’ve all been through the chore of writing boilerplate
docker-compose.yml
configs, setting up multi-stage production Dockerfiles, or configuring Nginx reverse-proxies.

Usually, when we look for setup shortcuts, we either copy-paste outdated stack templates from StackOverflow or use online generators that upload variables to database servers. For infrastructure files containing sensitive databases, ports, and environment secrets, uploading config data to a third-party server always feels risky.

To solve this, I built DevOpsForge—a visual developer utility that runs 100% client-side inside your browser. No data, configs, or secrets ever leave your machine.

You can try it out here: https://devops-config-generator.vercel.app/

What it generates in 60 seconds:

Dynamic Docker Compose configurations (supports Node, React, Next.js, Python, Go, Postgres, MongoDB, MySQL, and Redis).

Automatic SSL reverse proxies (generates custom Caddyfiles with auto-HTTPS renewals or standard secure Nginx configs).

Hardened security settings (non-root Docker users, container resource limits, and healthcheck configurations).

Cloud Backup Automations (generates a
backup-s3.sh
shell script to automatically dump DBs, compress them, upload to Amazon S3/Cloudflare R2, and send success/failure webhooks to Discord or Slack).

One-Click bundle exports (downloads all files sequentially in a single click).

 How it looks:

(Pro Tip: Take a screenshot of the DevOpsForge website showing the configurator panel and code viewer, and upload it right here!)

 Looking for Feedback!

I built this tool to make VPS and self-hosted deployments much faster and safer. It is completely free, and I’d love to hear your feedback:

What languages, databases, or reverse proxies should I add to the template engine next?

What other DevOps boilerplate automation scripts would save you the most time?

Check out our Product Hunt page as well if you want to support us: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/devopsforge

Thanks for checking it out!
