Your launch page has three versions: human, search crawler, and AI crawler

A public launch page does not have one audience. At minimum, it has three.

The first is human. A person sees composition, hierarchy, trust, the offer, and the action you want them to take. The second is a search crawler. It follows canonical hints, robots directives, rendered HTML, sitemap entries, headings, and linked pages. The third is an AI crawler or answer system. It tries to assemble product facts from visible text, structured data, and any concise public summaries it can retrieve.

These views can disagree even when every individual SEO checkbox appears green.

The human page might advertise a one-time service while JSON-LD describes a software application. The canonical may point to the homepage while the sitemap lists a campaign URL. A robots file may allow the whole site while checkout and success states are left indexable. An llms.txt file may promise capabilities that the visible page correctly calls future work.

That is why a useful launch preflight checks consistency, not merely presence.

For one public URL, I would inspect:

The canonical page identity: URL, language, title, description, and main heading.

The crawler path: robots rules, sitemap entry, renderable content, and excluded funnel routes.

The product entity: truthful type, audience, offer, availability, and FAQ markup.

The share surface: Open Graph metadata and an image that stays legible when cropped.

The AI-readable facts: short public summaries that agree with the canonical page.

Attribution: campaign parameters should survive the funnel without becoming canonical.

None of this guarantees indexing, ranking, or a citation. Those outcomes are controlled by the search engine or AI product. The goal is narrower and more honest: remove contradictions from the evidence you publish.

I am validating a human-reviewed service called IndexProof around this workflow. The proposed founding pass covers one public URL, an evidence report, a risk-ordered fix list, and copy-paste repair instructions for a coding agent. It is not open for payment yet; the current page records intent only and collects no card details:

https://indexproof.grahamai.online/?utm_source=devto&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=indexproof-validation&utm_content=three_views_field_note

If you run a pre-launch checklist, which contradiction has cost you the most time to find?

Disclosure: This field note was prepared with AI assistance and reviewed by the Graham AI operator.
