I Got Tired of Paying for QR Codes, So I Built a Free Tool That Does More Than the Paid One

Every time I needed a QR code for something — a Wi-Fi password for guests, a payment link, a contact card for my business card — I ended up on some site that either watermarked the download, capped me at 3 free codes a day, or asked me to sign up just to get a PNG.

So I built my own. And since I was already building it for myself, I figured I'd make it free for everyone else too.

*What it actually does
*
Most "free" QR generators online only do one thing: turn a link into a QR code. Mine does five:

URL / Link — the standard one, for websites, menus, payment pages, Google Maps listings
Wi-Fi — enter your network name, password, and encryption type, and guests can connect with a single scan. No more spelling out a 16-character password at a house party.
PNG Image — upload any photo and it becomes a scannable QR code that opens the image directly on someone's phone
vCard Contact — enter your name, number, email, and company, and scanning it drops your contact straight into someone's phone with an "Add to Contacts" prompt
Logo / heading text — you can add a custom line above the QR code itself (your brand name, "Scan to Pay," "Our Wi-Fi") without needing any design software

You also get to pick the output size — up to 400×400px — which actually matters if you're printing on a menu or a product box and don't want a blurry, unscannable mess.

Why I made it free with no signup

I run a small web development studio, and I build tools like this constantly for client projects. This one felt genuinely useful enough that gatekeeping it behind an account wall didn't make sense. So:

No signup, no login
No watermark on the downloaded PNG
No daily limit
Everything except image-hosting happens right in your browser

Where people actually end up using it

A few uses I didn't expect when I built it, but that people keep coming back for:

Restaurants printing "Scan to See Menu" QR codes on table cards
Hotels putting Wi-Fi QR codes at reception so guests stop asking front desk for the password
Freelancers adding a vCard QR code to their business cards instead of manually spelling out contact details
Shop owners linking UPI payment pages for quick, touchless checkout

Try it

It's live at myfreewebtools.com/qr-code-generator` — no account needed, just pick a type, fill in your details, and download.

It's part of a small growing collection of free browser-based tools I've been building — image compressor, background remover for photos, a resume builder, an OCR tool — all with the same philosophy: no signup, no watermark, no nonsense. If you build or run anything online, I'd genuinely love feedback on what's missing.

Create a Professional Website Favicon in Seconds (Free & No Signup)

Every website needs a favicon. It's the small icon that appears in browser tabs, bookmarks, and mobile home screens. While tiny, a favicon helps your brand look more professional and recognizable.

The problem? Most favicon generators either require signups, show ads everywhere, or upload your images to their servers.

I recently found a tool that keeps everything simple.

MyFreeWebTools Favicon Generator

The MyFreeWebTools Favicon Generator lets you convert your logo or image into a complete favicon package directly inside your browser. No registration, no software installation, and no unnecessary steps. All image processing happens locally, so your files are not uploaded to a server.

Key Features
No signup or login required
100% browser-based processing
Supports PNG, JPG, WebP, SVG, and GIF
Live browser tab preview
Apple Touch Icon preview
Multiple favicon sizes generated automatically
Download all files in a ZIP
Ready-to-use HTML favicon tags
Works on desktop and mobile devices
How to Generate a Favicon
Open the Favicon Generator.
Upload your logo or image.
Adjust the crop, zoom, and position.
Choose your preferred shape (Square, Circle, or Squircle).
Preview how it will look in a browser tab and on an iPhone.
Click Generate Multi-Size Favicons.
Download the ZIP package and copy the provided HTML code into your website.
What You Get

The generator creates all the commonly used favicon files, including:

16×16 favicon
32×32 favicon
48×48 favicon
64×64 favicon
96×96 favicon
180×180 Apple Touch Icon
512×512 PWA icon
HTML integration snippet for your website's section
Why I Like This Tool

Many online favicon generators are cluttered with ads or lock downloads behind signups. This tool focuses on speed and privacy. Since everything runs inside the browser, you don't have to worry about uploading your branding assets to a third-party server.

If you're building a portfolio, startup website, blog, or personal project, it's a quick way to generate all the favicon assets you need.

Tool: https://myfreewebtools.com/favicon-generator

A professional-looking website starts with the small details—and a clean favicon is one of them.

How to Crop Images Online Without Uploading to a Server (Free, No Watermark)

Most online photo editors send your files to their servers. This one doesn't — and that makes all the difference.

We've all been there. You need to quickly crop a profile picture, trim a screenshot, or resize a product photo — but every tool you find either asks you to sign up, slaps a watermark on your download, or silently uploads your image to some server you've never heard of.

There's a better way.

The Problem with Most Online Image Croppers

Here's what typically happens when you use a "free" online image editor:

Your image is uploaded to a remote server
It's processed there (and potentially stored)
You get a watermarked result unless you pay
Or you're asked to create an account just to download

For casual cropping tasks, this feels completely unnecessary. Why should trimming a photo require giving your email address to a startup?

A Browser-Based Approach That's Actually Private

The Image Crop Tool on MyFreeWebTools works differently.

It uses Cropper.js and the native HTML5 Canvas API — which means the entire crop operation runs inside your browser. Your image data never travels to any server. It never leaves your device.

This matters more than most people realize:

Privacy: Cropping a photo ID, a medical document, or a personal photo? It stays on your machine.
Speed: No upload/download round-trip. Results are instant.
Offline-friendly: Once the page is loaded, it works even on a weak connection.

What You Can Do With It

Supported Formats

JPG
PNG
WebP ✅ (yes, full WebP support — crop and download as PNG)

No fixed-ratio buttons? No problem. You can eyeball it manually in seconds.

How to Crop an Image in 4 Steps

Step 1 — Upload your image
Click the upload area or drag and drop a JPG, PNG, or WebP file. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Step 2 — Adjust the crop box
Drag the corners and edges to frame the area you want. Drag inside the box to reposition it.

Step 3 — Click "Crop Image"
A preview of the result appears instantly below the tool.

Step 4 — Download
Click "Download PNG" — clean file, zero watermark, no signup required.

That's it.

Common Use Cases

Social Media
Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter all have slightly different preferred dimensions. Being able to freeform crop to 1:1 or 4:5 without installing an app is genuinely useful.

Profile Pictures
Crop tightly so your face fills the frame — this makes profile pictures far more recognizable at small thumbnail sizes.

Product Photography
E-commerce sellers often need to batch-standardize image proportions. Cropping to a consistent ratio before uploading keeps product grids clean.

Blog & Website Images
Inconsistent image sizes break layouts. Crop to a uniform dimension before dropping images into your CMS.

Screenshots & Diagrams
Cut out the relevant portion of a screenshot without opening Photoshop.

Pro Tips for Better Crops

Rule of thirds: Place your subject at an intersection of the invisible 3×3 grid — not dead center — for more natural-looking compositions.
Leave breathing room: For portraits, don't crop too tight around the top of the head.
Stay away from edges: For social media, keep key subjects away from the edges so platform-generated thumbnails don't accidentally cut them off.
Consistent padding for products: Same proportions + same padding across a product range = professional catalogue look.

After Cropping — What's Next?

Once you've cropped your image, you might want to:

Reduce file size before uploading → Compress Image Tool
Add a watermark to protect your work → Watermark Tool
Convert to black & white for a clean editorial look → B&W Converter

MyFreeWebTools has a growing set of browser-based utilities — all free, all no-signup, all running client-side.

Why "No Upload" Actually Matters

When you crop a photo using a server-based tool, you're technically transferring that file to a third party. For most images, this is harmless. But consider:

Photos of children
Screenshots of private conversations
Scanned documents with personal information
Medical or financial images

In these cases, a browser-based tool isn't just convenient — it's the only responsible choice. No server receives your file. No one logs what you uploaded. Nothing is stored.

Try It

👉 Crop Image Online Free — No Upload, No Watermark

No account. No watermark. No server upload. Just open, crop, and download.

MyFreeWebTools is a free collection of browser-based utilities for everyday tasks — image editing, QR codes, resume building, text-to-speech, and more. Built by Galaxy Inbuild Infotech.

Free Image to Text Converter — Convert Any Picture to Words Instantly (No Upload, No Login)

Ever Been Stuck Retyping Text From a Photo?

You screenshot a receipt. You photograph a whiteboard full of notes. Someone sends you a picture of a document. And then… you have to manually retype everything.

That's exactly the problem a free Image to Text Converter solves — and if you've been looking for one that actually respects your privacy, you're in the right place.

What Is an Image to Text Converter (OCR Tool)?

OCR stands for Optical Character Recognition. It's the technology that reads printed or handwritten text from an image and turns it into editable, copyable text.

Traditionally, OCR tools uploaded your images to a cloud server, processed them there, and returned the result. That means your documents, invoices, or personal notes were being sent to a third-party server.

The tool at MyFreeWebTools.com works differently.

It runs 100% inside your browser using Tesseract.js — a WebAssembly port of Google's open-source Tesseract OCR engine. Your images are processed in your device's memory. Nothing is uploaded. Nothing is stored. Ever.

Key Features at a Glance

🔒 Fully Private — Zero Server Upload

Your image never leaves your device. This is not a marketing claim — it's how the technology actually works. WebAssembly runs the OCR engine locally in your browser tab.

🌐 5 Language Support

You can extract text in:

English
Hindi
English + Hindi (combined mode — great for bilingual documents)
Spanish
French

This makes it genuinely useful for Indian users dealing with Hindi invoices, certificates, or government documents.

🗂️ Batch Processing

Upload multiple images at once. All extracted text is combined into a single output — perfect for multi-page scanned documents.

📋 Copy or Download

Once extracted, you can:

Copy text directly to clipboard
Download a clean .txt file

⚡ No Install, No Signup

Open the page. Upload or paste an image. Click extract. Done. Works on mobile, tablet, and desktop.

How to Use It — Step by Step

Step 1: Go to myfreewebtools.com/free-image-totext

Step 2: Upload your image — drag & drop, browse files, or paste directly with Ctrl+V

Step 3: Choose your language (English, Hindi, Spanish, French, or combined)

Step 4: Click "Extract Text from Image"

Step 5: Copy the result or download as .txt

That's it. Under 60 seconds from start to finish.

Tips for Best OCR Accuracy

The quality of OCR output depends heavily on image quality. Here's what actually works:

✅ Use 300 DPI or higher for scanned documents
✅ High contrast — dark text on light background works best
✅ Keep text horizontal — rotate image before uploading if needed
✅ Crop tightly — remove extra borders and blank space
✅ Select the correct language — wrong language selection = garbled output
⚠️ Handwriting — printed text works far better than cursive

If your image is too large or low-contrast, try using the free image compressor or image crop tool on the same site first.

How It Compares to Other OCR Tools

The biggest differentiator is privacy. If you're processing sensitive documents — medical reports, financial statements, personal IDs — you really don't want those images sitting on someone else's server.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The tool works on any modern mobile browser. Paste or upload an image from your phone gallery directly.

Can I extract text from a PDF?
Not directly. Export each PDF page as a PNG or JPG first (most PDF readers support this), then upload those images.

Is there a file size limit?
No fixed limit since everything runs in your browser. Very large files may be slow depending on your device's RAM.

Why is accuracy sometimes low?
Low-resolution or blurry images reduce accuracy significantly. Try scanning at higher DPI or ensuring the image is well-lit.

Is the tool really free?
Yes — no subscription, no hidden charges, no watermarks on output.

Final Thoughts

If you regularly deal with images containing text — whether you're a student, a freelancer, a small business owner, or just someone tired of retyping things — this tool is worth bookmarking.

It's fast, private, free, and works right in your browser without any setup.

👉 Try it now: myfreewebtools.com/free-image-totext

MyFreeWebTools is a collection of free, privacy-first online tools built by Galaxy Inbuild Infotech. No login required, no files uploaded, no cost.

Why Every Photographer and Content Creator Should Watermark Their Photos in 2026

Sharing photos online has never been easier — and that's exactly the problem. The moment you post a photo to Instagram, a blog, or a portfolio site, it can be downloaded, screenshotted, and reused by someone else within seconds, often without any credit back to you. A watermark is still the simplest, most reliable way to protect your work while keeping your name visible wherever the image travels.
What Exactly Is a Watermark?
A watermark is a semi-transparent text or logo overlay placed directly onto an image. Once added, the watermark becomes part of the image's actual pixels — not a separate layer that can be peeled off — which makes it genuinely difficult to remove without damaging the photo underneath. This is different from metadata or EXIF tags, which can be stripped instantly by social platforms. A visible watermark travels with the image no matter where it's shared, downloaded, or re-uploaded.
Why Watermarking Still Matters
It's easy to assume watermarks are an old-school habit from the early days of stock photography, but they're more relevant now than ever:

Reverse image searches have made theft easier to spot, but harder to stop. Even if you find your stolen photo, a watermark at least proves it was originally yours.
AI scraping tools pull images from the web at scale. A watermark with your name or website at least keeps your brand attached, even if the image ends up somewhere unexpected.
Client previews need protection. Designers and photographers sending draft images to clients use watermarks to prevent unpaid use before final payment is received.
Social proof and branding. A subtle watermark with your handle or website doubles as free advertising every time the image is shared.

Who Actually Needs to Watermark Their Photos?

Photographers posting portfolio shots on Instagram, Behance, or their own site.
Bloggers and content creators sharing custom graphics, screenshots, or photography.
Small business owners branding product photos before listing them online.
Freelance designers sending low-res previews to clients before final delivery.
Anyone who simply wants basic protection without learning Photoshop.

How to Watermark a Photo the Right Way
Getting the watermark itself right matters as much as adding one at all. A few practical guidelines:

Keep opacity between 30–60%. Too solid and it distracts from the photo; too faint and it's pointless.
Place it where it's hard to crop out. Corners are easy to trim away — a center or diagonal placement is far more effective.
Use your name, website, or handle rather than generic text like "Sample" or "Draft," so the branding actually works in your favor.
Try a diagonal rotation, around 30–45 degrees. It's a small detail that makes the watermark noticeably harder to crop or clone-stamp out.
Keep the font size moderate. A smaller, well-placed watermark at higher opacity usually looks more professional than a giant faded one.

The Easiest Way to Add a Watermark — No Software Needed
You don't need Photoshop, Lightroom, or any paid software to watermark a photo properly. Browser-based tools now handle this entirely on the client side, meaning your image never actually leaves your device.
With the free Image Watermark Tool on MyFreeWebTools, you can:

Upload any JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF image directly in your browser
Type custom watermark text and adjust font size, color, and opacity live
Rotate the watermark to any angle for a diagonal, harder-to-remove effect
Preview the result in real time before downloading
Download the final watermarked image as a PNG — completely free, with no signup and no images uploaded to a server

The entire process takes a few seconds and works the same on a phone, tablet, or desktop.
Final Thoughts
A watermark won't stop a determined thief, but it will stop the vast majority of casual reuse, protect your brand recognition, and remind anyone who sees your photo exactly where it came from. Whether you're a photographer building a portfolio or a small business protecting product shots, watermarking your images is a five-second habit that pays off every time your work is shared.
Ready to try it? https://myfreewebtools.com/image-watermark — no account, no software, no cost.

How to Reduce Image Size Online for Free (No App, No Signup)

Stop paying for software just to make your photos smaller. Here's a faster way.

Every time you upload a photo to your website, send it via email, or share it on WhatsApp — file size matters more than you think.

A 5MB image on your website can slow your page load time by seconds. An email with a 10MB photo attachment often bounces. And large images eat up your storage faster than you realize.

The solution? Compress your images before using them. And you don't need Photoshop or any paid tool for that.

The Free Tool I Use: MyFreeWebTools Image Compressor

I've been using MyFreeWebTools' free image compressor and honestly, it's one of the cleanest tools I've found online.

Here's why it stands out:

✅ Completely browser-based — no software to install
✅ 100% private — your image never gets uploaded to any server
✅ No signup required — open the page and start compressing
✅ Supports JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP
✅ Live preview — see before/after quality in real time
✅ Free forever — no hidden plans or watermarks

How to Compress an Image in 4 Steps

Step 1: Go to 👉 myfreewebtools.com/compress-image

Step 2: Drag and drop your photo — or click to browse from your device

Step 3: Adjust the quality slider (80% is the sweet spot for most use cases — great quality, much smaller file)

Step 4: Choose your output format (WebP for smallest size, JPG for photos, PNG for graphics with transparency) → Hit Download

That's it. The whole process takes under 10 seconds.

JPG vs PNG vs WebP — Which Format Should You Choose?

FormatBest ForFile SizeJPGPhotos, real-world imagesMediumPNGLogos, graphics, transparencyLargerWebPEverything (modern browsers)Smallest

If you're optimizing images for a website, WebP is the best choice. It gives the smallest file size without visible quality loss.

Why Image Compression Matters (Real-World Impact)

🌐 Website Speed & SEO

Google uses page load speed as a ranking factor. Large images are one of the biggest culprits behind slow sites. Compressing a 2MB image down to 200KB can noticeably improve your Core Web Vitals score.

📧 Email Attachments

Most email providers cap attachments at 10–25MB. If you're sending product photos or portfolio images, compressing them saves you the headache of rejected emails.

📱 WhatsApp & Social Media

Uploading large images to WhatsApp or Instagram compresses them automatically — often badly. Compressing them yourself gives you control over the quality.

💾 Storage Savings

Whether it's your phone, laptop, or hosting server — smaller images mean more space for other things.

Pro Tips for Best Results

Start at 80% quality — for most images, you can't tell the difference visually, but file size drops by 40–70%
Use WebP whenever possible — it's now supported by all modern browsers
Use the live preview to compare before and after before downloading
For logos or screenshots, stick with PNG — JPG can make edges look blurry

It's Not Just an Image Compressor

MyFreeWebTools has a whole collection of free browser-based tools:

🖤 Color to Black & White Converter
✂️ Image Crop Tool
🔏 Add Watermark to Image
📝 Image to Text (OCR)
⭐ Favicon Generator
🎙️ Text to Speech
📲 QR Code Generator

All free. All private. No sign up.

Final Thoughts

If you're still manually resizing images in Photoshop, emailing yourself photos to make them smaller, or paying for a subscription tool just to compress images — try MyFreeWebTools first.

It takes 10 seconds, requires zero technical knowledge, and works on any device — phone, tablet, or desktop.

👉 Try it free: myfreewebtools.com/compress-image

Have a use case where image compression really saved you? Drop it in the comments!
